I'm thinking of retiring. I made a couple of mistakes on my "Big Showdown" game and...I don't know.

Please don't. Everyone makes some mistake-- myself included.

It's okay, John. We all make mistakes. Take a break if you must.

John, first of all whatever you decide to do, know you have my full support.
Second, if it was not for you, I would not have been able to transition to this site, and for that I will always be grateful.
Third, I just had a major gaffe with Three On A Match that my one player was kind enough to message me about.
As the old Billy Joel song says "We're only human, we're supposed to make mistakes."
I know right now I'm feeling some fatigue, for lack of a better word, with hosting on here and am taking a mini hiatus through the end of 2020.
Between work and the upcoming holidays and many other things going on, plus I'm not getting any younger, it's hard to always muster up the passion and the zeal that I usually feel for game shows in general and for hosting.
Mistakes are expected, this is why pencils have erasers.
Some of the most classic moments in TV history were due to mishaps. Dick Clark made an entire TV series out of bloopers!
In any event, you have my full support on whatever you decide to do John. I do hope however that you won't rush to your decision to retire, take some time to think it over, maybe take a mini hiatus even.
We all need to recharge our batteries at times, this is why God placed 52 weekends a year into our calendar.
Respectfully, Bill

I also make mistakes too, so nobody's perfect.

Thanks John. I had a gut feeling that you're gonna stay.
