That's fantastic, Doug. All we need is one more, and then I'll ask the qualifying question to determine who's going to be the designated champion.

All right! I got 5 players in!
Now, first and foremost of all, to nelson17, thien1234, dougmorrisontheair, and GSLurker, I want all of you to PM me your "Wish List" as I'll give you a separate PM on that.
And the second part is that I need a Designated Champion, and to make things fair, I'm going to post a Qualifying Question. The person who is nearest to the actual number will get to be our Designated Champion.
In an episode of Greed: The Series, Chuck Woolery asked this qualifying question to a new team:
As of February 2000, what is the most number of points the Dow Jones Industrial Average has gone up in one week?
PM me your answers now.

Post by dad90 on May 17, 2020 9:54:43 GMT -5
OK, our players have locked in their answer.
I can tell you that the Dow Jones Average went up...
587
587 points in one week as of February 2000. With that in mind, who's going to be our designated champion?
Thomas (tmw411) - 104 Nels (nelson17) - 500 Thien (thien1234) - 199 Doug (dougmorrisontheair) - 210 Tyrone (GSLurker) - 280
Nels is going to be our designated champion while the remaining 4 are going to be the challengers and will play tonight's Main Game.
We will begin our game tomorrow afternoon at 12:00 PM Eastern time.

George: Are you ready to roll?Audience: YEAH! George: Well....can you answer this question? He starred as a vigilante in the "Death Wish" movies. Name this actor. If you have answered "Charles Bronson", then you are one roll away from winning...
a terrific motorcycle...
this brand-new Ford Ranger XL...
and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win...
Not one...
Not two...
but THREE BILLION DOLLARS!!!
To win all of that, you'll need to have the luck of the dice on your side in the Ultimate Challenge of Snakes & Ladders, but that is if, and only if, you land exactly on...
the Super Jackpot Star Space or else...
you could get Zapped by the dreaded Lightning...
...or get bit a Poisonous Snake and Lose Everything either way on the ultimate game of chance...
The Vegas Dice Game!
And now, from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, here's your host, a man who now has gone through hell and back to finally achieve his Master's Degree and is ready to take on the world by storm, he's the Master of the Dice and will take you to Paradise, Dayo Kayode!(DK in a tuxedo walks to the large center stage) (Audience Cheers and Applause)DK: Thank you, everyone! Thank you! Thank you, George Gray! And yes, I've finally done it! I've finally achieved a Master's Degree from Nova Southeastern University!!! (Audience Cheers and Applause)Folks, you have no idea on how much blood, sweat and tears I've sacrificed to get to this point. To me, it's a fantastic milestone! Unfortunately, our graduation is going to be delayed due to Coronavirus Pandemic, but I can promise you that we're going to have a LOT of fun and raise awareness for this crisis as I welcome you to a very special episode of The Vegas Dice Game as our players have certainly picked the right time to come here, because since this is such an important moment for me, I've decided to host a Graduation Special, and with knowledge, strategy, and most certainly luck, one of our players tonight could win THE biggest cash prize that I've offered in history in any of my game shows, and possibly the biggest cash prize offered in the history of Net Game Central: THREE BILLION DOLLARS!!!!!(Audience Cheers and Applause)And what's more, we're going to be raising money to various fundraisers to help our people get back on their feet during this very difficult time, and the best part about all of this is that all of this money is coming out of the President's pocket! (Audience Laughs and Applauds)Yes, indeed. But before we could possibly give away all of that money, let's meet tonight's players starting with Thomas Whatchama, aka tmw411! (Audience Cheers and Applause)Thomas, welcome aboard! Tell the nice folks about yourself, where you're from, what you do, how well you are doing during this pandemic, and if my memory serves me right, your big high school graduation moment.

Hello, I'm Thomas from Irvine, CA. I'm almost complete with finishing high school from the comfort of my own home. With COVID-19 turning the world upside down, I probably won't have a graduation moment. But I'm sure my family & friends will support me.

Wow, a young teenager all the way from Vietnam! I welcome you to America and I wish you luck here. And now ladies and gentlemen, this next contestant really doesn't need any introductions if you know him. If not, he's well known to host game shows such as Crag: The Numbers Game, the Net Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour, Net Poker, The Big Risk, On A Roll, Spin-Off, and the $40,000 Chain Reaction. I didn't know him until I saw his homepage, which also led to discover the underrated game show of Whew! He's the one and only Doug Morris. (Audience Cheers and Applause)Doug, it's an honor to welcome you to the Vegas Dice Game! Your shows actually inspire to host my own shows even way back starting from the BigJon PC Games forum to this very forum here at Net Game Central. I know that your late wife Cindy is watching you with a big smile from up above. How's everything going lately, especially with the pandemic? And if you still remember your graduation, what was one of your best moments?

Thanks, Dayo. Day after graduation was great a memory. We had a breakfast, many friends came -- and it actually doubled as a going away party -- because we were heading from Ohio to Mississippi to start new lives.

Yeah, and that's where your career really began to take off, I assume. In any event, good luck to you. And last, but not least, is a one who made a recreation of a game that I didn't knew it existed, and it was created from Kickstarter, of all things, Exploding Kittens, and it really surprised me, to say the least. He's Tyrone, aka GSLurker! (Audience Cheers and Applause)Tyrone, welcome aboard! Tell everyone here about yourself, where you're from, what you do, your current status with the pandemic, and your big moment during your graduation day, whether it was college or high school.

Hey, Dayo! I'm from Pittsburgh, pa, and I'm one of those 'essential workers' people are giving praise to alot lately.
My graduation was pretty chill, but I almost didn't because there was a dispute about whether a book I loaned from the school library was returned. I was able to convince them that it was, but it was a scary moment.

Wow! Your graduation almost didn't happen because of a book you've loaned from the library?! That's absolutely strange, if you ask me. I've never seen anything like that in my college. And my cousin is not feeling happy right now due to one of her teachers changing her grade to an 'F' for no apparent reason. I know that there's going to be a dispute on that. Luckily, it's only her first year in college and taking general classes. Nevertheless, you've done it, and I've done it, and I'm going to enjoy the break while it's good. Oh, and let me be the first to say "Thank You" for your service in the frontline during this pandemic. In any event, I wish you the best of luck, and audience, let's wish all 4 of these players the very best of luck as we begin our Graduation Special! (Audience Cheers and Applause)DK: We've met our players, but we cannot go any further without introducing a man who knows all the facts and figures, and that's only because he has the computer in front of him at all times. (Scattered Laughter) But with that becoming a reality as many people are staying at home due to this pandemic, they all actually followed his advice! (More Scattered Laughter) He better get a raise after all of that. He's none other than my "Pointless" friend from the UK, and our Dice Dealer, Richard Osman. Richard: Hi. Good evening, everyone. (Audience Cheers and Applause)DK: Hello, Richard. I hope everything's well back in the UK. Richard: It is, Dayo, and congratulations on your Master's. DK: Indeed. Although, I too, wouldn't have made it if wasn't for my quick about my last semester's bill. Richard: What happened? DK: I was prepared for my last semester, but then I realize that I forgot to apply my Financial Aid! (Audience Gasps) As a result, I had to pay over $5,000 out of my own pocket! (Audience Groans)So make sure that to all of the college students out there, whether you're a Grad or Undergrad, take my advice and apply your Financial Aid BEFORE the semester begins! You will thank me later. Richard: Have you actually got it resolved? DK: I'm in the process as I'm paying $300 per month just to make sure that the plan the Financial Aid people gave me all goes well, and I need to do it. But enough about that! We're here to have some fun, and we got a game to play and some cash to give away! So what do you say? (Audience Cheers and Applause)Yeah, I thought so! All we need now are these.... the Dice themselves! They are the main attraction for this game, otherwise it wouldn't be called the Vegas Dice Game. These dice will determine your fate on whether you are going to win big or going home. And Richard, you got a big responsibility on your hands, especially when you are going to be on the lookout for all of the play-by-play action, and for guarding the cash. And as we get the dice and the money in here, we're going to take a quick commercial break and we'll see on how well our players are going to do right after this, so don't go away! (Audience Cheers and Applause)

(Buzz-Buzz)I'm sorry, that is incorrect. The correct answer is 80. As in "Around the World in 80 Days." You see, in the story, Phileas Fogg of London and his newly employed French valet Passepartout attempt to circumnavigate the world in 80 days on a £20,000 wager (or $24,368.24 at the time)(£2,242,900 in 2019 in today's money, or $2,732,776.27 in the U.S. Dollar) set by his friends at the Reform Club. It is one of Verne's most acclaimed works. Now unfortunately Thien, since you got that question wrong, one of your rolls has been taken away... THOMAS | THIEN | DOUG | TYRONE | $500 | $500 | $500 | $500 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | ROLLS: 3 | ROLLS: 2 | ROLLS: 3 | ROLLS: 3 |
And it's now inside the Penalty Box. PENALTY BOX: 1 ROLL and ?? DICEThat also means that when all the players have used up their rolls, whatever dice they have left will all be deposited into the Penalty Box as well, and all of that will be up for grabs in Sudden Death. We'll get to that later on, but for now, we're going to move on to the next question. QUESTION 2: During which course of a meal would you most likely eat an Eton Mess?THOMAS: 76 THIEN: 76 DOUG: 60 TYRONE: 3 Magic #: 53 THOMAS | THIEN | DOUG | TYRONE | $500 | $500 | $500 | $500 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | ROLLS: 3 | ROLLS: 2 | ROLLS: 3 | ROLLS: 3 |

That is correct, sir. THOMAS | THIEN | DOUG | TYRONE | $500 | $500 | $600 | $500 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | ROLLS: 3 | ROLLS: 2 | ROLLS: 3 | ROLLS: 3 |
(Ding; Audience Applause)That takes you up to $600, and you now have the right to use one of your rolls. But before you do that, let me explain how this part works... Each of you have a bucket of 8 dice like this... And you are going to roll all of the dice at once. Now... CASINO [1]: [$8000]
CASINO [2]: [$1000] [$1000] [$4000]
CASINO [3]: [$5000]
CASINO [4]: [$6000]
CASINO [5]: [$7000]
CASINO [6]: [$9000]The object here is to roll as much numbers to that respective group within your maximum of 3 rolls. However, you must choose 1 group of that particular number for each die and place it onto that casino one at a time. For example, if I roll something like this: you must choose that number and place it on that casino. For instance, I would choose 5 because there are 3 of those. CASINO [1]: [$8000]
CASINO [2]: [$1000] [$1000] [$4000]
CASINO [3]: [$5000]
CASINO [4]: [$6000]
CASINO [5]: [$7000] DOUG: 3
CASINO [6]: [$9000]And then from there, the remaining dice will go back to you, and the Payoff Point comes in for each dot for any dice that have not been used, so a total of 22 and at $25 per point, that's an additional $550 added to your total. Now, Richard, let's reset the board. CASINO [1]: [$8000]
CASINO [2]: [$1000] [$1000] [$4000]
CASINO [3]: [$5000]
CASINO [4]: [$6000]
CASINO [5]: [$7000]
CASINO [6]: [$9000]Ah! I forgot one more important thing: There's some strategy here. Sometimes, you may not want to go for the casino with the highest amount of money in there, because your opponents will get a chance to play their dice and roll theirs on the board and so forth. Now, here's the ultimate catch: If the number of your dice ties with the number of the dice from any one of your opponents or more when the round ends, those dice will cancel each other out. The person who has the most dice on that casino wins the biggest Money Bag on that casino. The 2nd-place gets the smaller Money Bag and so on. In Casino 2 for example, only the player with the highest amount of dice will win $4000. The player in 2nd place will get $1000, in other words. So, you have to ask yourself, "Should I go for the Big Money early on?" or "Should I wait it out and go for another Casino?" This is where you have to study the board AND study your opponents, so you can figure out what best move works for you, because remember, the lowest-scoring player in this round will be eliminated from the game. We will pay out all of the amounts once ALL of the rolls have been used. With all of that said Doug, take your first roll now. (Doug Rolls) And you got some choices to make. Which number group are you going to start off?

Very well, then let's put the 3 1's in Casino 1, if you please. CASINO [1]: [$8000] DOUG: 3
CASINO [2]: [$1000] [$1000] [$4000]
CASINO [3]: [$5000]
CASINO [4]: [$6000]
CASINO [5]: [$7000]
CASINO [6]: [$9000]And for the remaining dice that were not used, the total comes to 20, and the Payoff Point is $25 per point for the unused dice, which means you're going to add another $500 to your total! THOMAS | THIEN | DOUG | TYRONE | $500 | $500 | $1100 | $500 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 5 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | ROLLS: 3 | ROLLS: 2 | ROLLS: 2 | ROLLS: 3 |
(Ding; Audience Applause)And that's how it works around here. However, if you want to use another one of your rolls, you have to earn it by answering another question correctly, and it's for everyone here, and the Payoff Point is generating again, so hands on buzzers, please. Here's the next question. QUESTION 3: According to the title of the 1980 Top 10 hit by the British Rock Band Queen, "Another One Bites the" what?THOMAS: 9 THIEN: 19 DOUG: 11 TYRONE: 22 Magic #: 91 THOMAS | THIEN | DOUG | TYRONE | $500 | $500 | $1100 | $500 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | DICE REMAINING: 5 | DICE REMAINING: 8 | ROLLS: 3 | ROLLS: 2 | ROLLS: 2 | ROLLS: 3 |
(Buzz-In!)PAYOFF POINT: $25 $50 [$75] $100 $500And Tyrone buzzes in! What's your answer?
