First off, I just wanna say, I know my birthday was 2 months ago (February 28th), this is better late than never.
Second off, all of this happened before Maryland's stay-at-home order (went into effect on March 30th).
So, if anyone's wondering, I had an amazing birthday. The best birthday I think I've ever had.
As I mentioned on Episode 34 of the Match-Game Hollywood Squares Hour, the night of my birthday I went to Bonefish Grill. It's one of my favorite restaurants. Excellent service and amazing food. They even gave me a birthday brownie.
That's a beautiful birthday brownie with raspberry sauce, whipped cream, and macademia nuts. As you can see, they even wrote "Happy Birthday" on the plate. So sweet of them.
The next day, something very special happened.
Most of you know, I have been a fan of The Muppets for years. One of the first shows I discovered was a show called "Bear in the Big Blue House". I first discovered the show from a Playhouse Disney compilation CD (released in 2003). I actually discovered a spinoff first before the actual show. Didn't discover the show itself until about a year and a half ago.
I also am a huge fan of the performers. Hey, they bring the magic to life.
Bear was performed by a man named Noel MacNeal. He also performed Magellan on an old Nickelodeon show called "Eureeka's Castle" and Leon on a 90's PBS show called "The Puzzle Place", just to name 2.
And as you can see above, Noel wished me a happy birthday on Instagram. I have to admit, I cried (happy tears of course). Been a fan for YEARS.
However, it's not just a simple "Happy Birthday", as you see. That's the Happy Birthday song from Bear in the Big Blue House. I'll post a link to the song below.
I also went bowling that night with some friends. One of which I haven't even seen since high school. Didn't do too bad actually. First game I ended up with a 96, second game with a 48, and the 3rd with a 70 somethin. Pretty good considering I haven’t bowled in a few years.
So, yeah, that's what happened on my birthday weekend. It was, honestly, the best birthday I've ever had.
