(applause & cheers) Time for our next segment, our mini-bonus game "Beat the Dealer", or as we like to say "Easy Money". This is our 8th broadcast, and out of 7 times playing this, it's been won 6 and lost only once! Matt Ringgenberg, who just won game #1 in very remarkable fashion, is about to try to make it 7 out of 8. Matt, You are about to play one hand of Blackjack against our lovely dealer Lynn. The remaining cards in the same deck we played game number one with are still in play. Lynn will begin dealing you cards to form your hand. Once you reach a score of twelve or higher, I will ask you if you wish to freeze or continue. If you continue and the next card you draw puts you over 21, you lose. If the next card you draw gives you exactly 21, then you will automatically win the Beat the Dealer jackpot which tonight is worth…$2,500 in cash. If the jackpot is not won, we will add $500 to it for our next program. Once you freeze, Lynn will begin to draw cards to form her hand. Lynn must hit on any hand totaling 16 and below. Lynn must freeze on any hand totaling 17 and above. In the event you and Lynn should tie, you won't win the jackpot, but you will still receive one-thousand dollars. So here we go, Lynn, what is Matt's first card? It's a 5. Next? (audience gasps and applauds) Wow, an eleven. If this next card is a 10, Jack, Queen or King Matt, you will automatically Beat the Dealer and win an additional $2,500 in cash. Lynn...for the win... TWENTY-ONE AGAIN!!!!!!!! picosong.com/4U4j/Man alive! Matt, it seems appropriate that you had a question involving a horseshoe earlier, because your luck is phenomenal! You didn't have to do a single thing there, or make a single decision! Congratulations on that instant win again! Matt is now up to $6,550 cash and prizes. And while we frisk Matt to see if he has any four-leaf clovers or rabbit's feet on his person, we're going to take another time out and try to get back some money for CBS! Back after this! picosong.com/cThu/(walking over to shake Matt's hand to congratulate him) (applause)

Matt's off to another good start. Next question players... Julie Newmar, Lee Meriweather or Eartha Kitt... Which of these actresses did not appear as the Catwoman on the Batman TV series? Kevin?

Eartha Kitt?

|
|
Post by billmcdee on Jan 30, 2015 15:59:41 GMT -5
No, actually it was Lee Meriweather. Lee was in the 1966 motion picture, however Julie Newmar was Catwoman during the first 2 seasons of the "Batman" TV series, and Eartha Kitt portrayed Catwoman during the third and final season on Batman. Sorry about that incorrect answer Kevin. $100 is awarded to Matt and control of the next card. Matt, do you wish to keep this next card, or pass it to Kevin?

Post by billmcdee on Jan 31, 2015 9:40:33 GMT -5
Matt has frozen on 19. Kevin, in order to win game 2 and tie up this match, you will need a score of 20 or 21. I will ask you questions, one at a time. You must get every question right in order to keep earning cards. One incorrect answer, or if you take too long to answer (48 hour deadline) and you will be stopped and Matt will be crowned the new Gambit P.M. champion this evening. First question Kevin, for $100 and the next card... Larry Moe or Curley... Which of these Three Stooges generally had little to no hair?

Correct Kevin! (applause) Another $100 for that answer, $800 total, and here's your first card for this game, Lynn? Another 1960's television question is next Kevin. Hopefully you'll have better luck with this one. Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, or Scotty... Which "Star Trek" character primarily wore a blue shirt?

I think it was Spock.

You think correctly! (applause) Kirk was usually seen in a gold shirt, Scotty usually a red shirt, one of the precious few red shirts who were never killed! Another $100 and this next card.... That Jack of Hearts combined with the 8 of Clubs gives you 18 Kevin... You need another correct answer, followed by your next card being a 2 or a 3, to tie up this match. Question... Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, or Charles Barkley... Which NBA superstar was NOT a member of the 1992 U.S. Olympic "Dream Team"?

Right again! (applause) So another $100 for that, $1,000 so far tonight, all in cash! Now the tricky part. Kevin, an Ace would tie the score up, and there are no ties on Gambit. A 2 will win you this game and tie up the match. A 3 will win you this game, a $1,000 bonus and tie up the match. Anything higher than a 3, and Matt will be crowned the new Gambit P.M. champion and go for all the cash and the car. Lynn, show us... Now!! picosong.com/fTwB/TOO MUCH! And the Match goes to Matt Ringgenberg!!! picosong.com/3zeF/So congratulations to you Matt, for winning this game $950 as we pay $50 per point, plus you also just won that gas grill valued at $1,400, so far in cash and prizes... $9,100, but stand by as there's more... First, we must bid a fond farewell to you Kevin, $1,000 in cash this evening, when added to your other cash and prize total, Kevin will be leaving us after 3 evenings with... $35,550 in cash and prizes! (applause & cheers) www.televisiontunes.com/Gambit.htmlKevin, on behalf of all of us here at Gambit P.M., I wish you all the best always! Kevin Kolsen! (applause) Matt, for winning tonight's match, you have also just won THIS very lovely prize, Frank? Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): There has never been an outdoor TV like the Peerless-AV UV2... Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): An all-season solution for outdoor entertainment and living, the UV2 is weatherproof and maintenance free, making the outdoors a reliable location for digital entertainment. Retail value, $3,000. (applause) So with that prize now part of your winnings, this is a tremendous match win total for one night... cash and prizes totaling... $12,100!!! (applause) And in a moment, a chance to win even more cash, plus a brand new automobile! When we return, Matt's first visit to the Gambit Board! Please, stay tuned!

New champion Matt Ringgenberg, let's head on over to play the Gambit Board! Frank, tell us what's up there tonight if you'd please... (I come from behind my podium stage right, and walk toward stage left) www.fileswap.com/dl/7vgdIMa622/05_-_Contestant_Intro_2.mp3.htmlFrank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Tonight on the Gambit Board, twenty-one in any combination wins this, our jackpot, now worth $10,500. Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Also, on the Gambit Board is the 2015 Buick LaCrosse. Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): An automobile beautifully crafted with one thing in mind, you. Thoughtfully innovative, beautifully crafted. The LaCrosse by Buick Thirty-Three Thousand, Six-Hundred Fifty dollars! Lots of cash up here on the Gambit Board tonight, a few new twists to our end game too which we'll explain in a moment, but first, Lynn, I understand you have something? Lynn - Yes Uncle Bill. I wasn't born until November 1981, so I wasn't alive when the original "Gambit" was on CBS, however, thanks to Wink Martindale's youtube channel, I have been able to view some old episodes when he hosted. Mr. Martindale is involved with our program, and Frank does a spot-on impression of original announcer Kenny Williams, so I wanted to do my part to remember the original dealer of these cards, Elaine Stewart. I recently discovered an old 8 by 10 glossy photograph of Elaine with a couple of the Gambit Cards. I had it enlarged, and our stagehands were kind enough to place her picture here on my podium, as a way to honor her, her memory, and her husband, Mr. Merrill Heatter. (loud applause & cheers) Bill - (off camera) That is fantastic Lynn! Thank you for that! I know Elaine would be most pleased Matt, we've made some amendments to our rules here, so allow me to explain them. First of all, behind 17 of these 21 numbers are hidden money cards. You'll notice number 15 has been revealed. Each money card will look like this, having 4 different suits represented on the card. Hidden behind each suit is a random amount of money. It could be as little as $100, or as much as $5,000. One in fact is worth $7,500. Three of the money cards contain one $0. Also on the board is a "1/2 Off" card. If you select that, the value of the Gambit Board pot will be cut in half. On the other hand, another card on the board says "Double Your Money". One card says "Take 2", so if you select that, you'll get to select 2 more numbers immediately. One card is an "INSURANCE" card, and we'll explain how that works if we get to it. Matt, Lynn has a brand new deck of 52 playing cards. At this time please select a number higher than 0 but lower than 52, and that will represent how deep into the deck you wish to cut the cards. After each number you select from the Gambit Board Matt, Lynn will deal you a card. If you go over 21, you lose and will win no money. Any and all cash and prizes you previously won are safe. Once you have a score of 12 or more, I will give you the option to freeze. If you freeze however, you must beat the house's score, and we have a new way now of determining what the house's score will be. After you select a number from the Gambit Board and are dealt a card from Lynn, she will then deal the next card face up for the House. You will use that up card to decide about how you want to play out your hand. Once you freeze, or once you are in a position where you might go over 21 on the next card, I will offer you a bail out option, a "sure thing" if you will. If you get exactly 21 however Matt, and we know you can do it, you will be an instant winner, and the house won't even get to complete its hand! As always, the house must hit on any hand totaling 16 or less, and must stand on any hand totaling 17 or more... First things first, please cut the cards at this time.

The cards are cut, and we will stake the Gambit Board pot with $5,000 to begin. Matt, I'll ask you to select a number from our Gambit Board, any number from 1 to 21. Also, please indicate a suit (Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds or Spades). This way in the event the number you select is a money card, we can reveal immediately the dollar amount hidden behind that suit. We know 15 is a money card. You can take that if you wish, or select another number altogether. Select a number and a suit at this time Matt if you please.

Number 9, and Hearts, if applicable... (ding) Two-thousand three-hundred dollars! Nice! Now shooting for a pot of $7,300 in cash Matt. First card for Matt please... A Jack, which is worth 10. And now Lynn, deal up the first card for the House at this time. Let's hope for a bad one... A deuce of Spades, none too good for the House! Matt, please select another number and suit. You can still select Hearts if you wish.

Number 18...Clubs... (CLANG) (moans & groans) Well, that's one of the $0 cards unfortunately. Still trying for $7,300 however. If your next card is an Ace, you'll have a 2-card 21 and not only will you win $7,300, but also $21,000 from the Any 21 Jackpot! So for $28,300 Lynn, give Matt an Ace please! (more moans & groans) Matt, that gives you 13. The next card COULD put you over 21. Considering that, and the fact that the house has a 2 up right now, do you wish to freeze or continue? If you continue, select another number, and any suit of your choice.

He's going to gamble! (audience applauds) Sure, it's not YOUR money at stake! 19 and Spades.... (CLANG) That's more like it! $2,250 more. Now the pot is $9,550 for a win! And if this next card is an 8, you'll win an additional $10,500, a grand total of $20,050 in cash, all for an 8. A 9, 10 or face card and it's all over...Lynn? (audience goes "whooah!!!") Curiouser and curiouser.... Matt you have 14. Your next card could definitely bust you. $9,550 at stake, so I'll offer you a sure thing, $3,900 right now to quit the game. Do you want to quit and take $3,900 or continue? If you elect to continue, you may freeze or select another number and any suit of your choice. Lots of things to consider Matt. What do you want to do?
