If you're like, you've been stuck at home for the better part of the last week.
So -- I've been constructing new audience games for On A Roll. Let's test them here.
Who wants to be the first contestant to enter the testing arena?

Okay, Pat. You'll be playing a game we just finished constructing in a bit. Everyone else, please keep an eye on this thread for new games.

Doug: And welcome back to On A Roll. Patrick's playing our audience game for this prize. (Shelly walks in with briefcase in hand) Doug: Uhhh -- Shelly -- this is On A Roll -- not DOND. (scattered laughter from crowd) Shelly: I know. But didn't you tell me "$ale of the Century" also included briefcases? Doug: Uhhh -- yeah -- I guess I did. Shelly: Briefcases that also hid money? (opens briefcase) (audience cheers) Doug: Wow! That's a lot of money. How much is in there? Shelly: $30,000. (audience cheers) Doug: $30,000 and the suitcase can be all yours, Patrick, in a game we call Making Cents. Ready to give this a try?

All right. In a moment, you're going to be rolling dice to try and make at least 100 cents, or $1.00. And if you reach the goal of $1.00, I'll sell you the suitcase *and* it's valuable contents for that $1.00. We're going to give you a head start of 10¢. (ding) And you can double that money with a correct call of a coin toss. (pulls coin from jacket pocket, shows obverse to camera) Here's heads. (turns over coin to show reverse) And here's tails. For another dime, Patrick, do you think the toss will come up heads or tails?

He says tails. (Doug tosses coin in air; lets it land on floor; overhead camera zooms in to reveal...) It's tails! (dings; audience applause) (ding) Twenty cents in the bank. Eighty cents away from the victory. Please head on up the stairs and I'll tell how you can make at least 80 more cents with as many as five dice. (audience cheers as Patrick walks up stairs on Let 'Em Roll-style setup) (Devon walks out to bring big dice up, similar to that of LER, filled with dice) Now, here's how the rest of the game works. Patrick, on four sides of each of the five dice are these money amounts... ...a penny... (Devon turns cube over a la Jane with one of Dealer's Choice's bonus dice) ...a nickel... (Devon turns cube over a la Jane with one of Dealer's Choice's bonus dice) ...a dime... (Devon turns cube over a la Jane with one of Dealer's Choice's bonus dice) ...and a quarter. Now the remaining sides of each cube are worthless -- literally. (Devon turns cube over a la Jane with one of Dealer's Choice's bonus dice) We have the word "zero" on each worthless side. Now with the dice that make cents, we add the total amount to the bank. Any dice that come up zero are taking away from you -- and you cannot reroll them for the rest of the game. If you can build that bank up from 20¢ to $1.00 before you lose all your dice, you win the game. If however you lose all your dice before reaching the goal, all you leave with are 99¢ or less. So after a successful roll, I'll offer a bailout. In fact, I'll offer a bailout right now, Patrick. If you think you're going to roll five zeroes right off the bat, I'll let you trade in each cent for $100 in cash. So -- right now -- would you like to stop and take $2000 -- or roll all five dice and see if you can win? (audience shouts suggestions)
[NOTES FROM DOUG: Patrick, if you wish to roll, please respond with "I'll roll" or wording to that effect and a roll code from 1-100. I'll show you the result of your roll, provided by randomizer.org. Since Patrick could end up rolling less than five dice on a particular turn, he may change his roll code on the turn. For this game's purposes, 1¢ replaces the 1, 5¢ replaces the 2, 10¢ replaces the 6 (opposite side of the 1) and 25¢ replaces the 5 (opposite side of the 2). Each 3 and 4 have been replaced with "zero".]

(audience cheers as Patrick rolls dice down ramp) (scattered groans; lots of cheers) Well -- you're losing two dice to zeroes -- but you're gaining 60¢ (ding) That money joins the dime you doubles from the coin toss -- for a total of 80¢. Patrick, you'll need to make at least 20 more cents to win. If you've got a good feeling about this, roll again. If you've got a bad feeling about this, then we can turn the 80¢ into $8000 -- while giving up the try at $30,000 and the suitcase in the process. So -- stop or roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)
[NOTES FROM DOUG: Patrick, if you wish to roll again, please respond in the affirmative and with another roll code from 1-100.]

(scattered cheers) All three dice make you more money. (ding) Two pennies and a dime bring you up to 92¢. Patrick, if you can get a dime out of one of the dice, you win. If you can get two nickels out of these dice, you win. Roll all zeroes -- it's game over with just 92¢. Another bailout offer of $9200 comes now. Take the money -- or roll? (audience shouts suggestions)

All right, Patrick. This could clinch the win here. Good luck.

(scattered cheers, woahs, groans) Oh -- so -- close. (ding) A nickel and two pennies bring you up to 99¢. Obviously, Patrick, your last roll is coming up -- if you go for it. Basically, if you can roll just two zeroes, you're still going to make money with the third cube and meet or exceed the goal of $1.00. But if you have a bad feeling three zeroes are coming up, please accept this final offer of $9900. (audience shouts suggestions)
[NOTES FROM DOUG: Patrick, if you wish to roll again, please respond with another roll code from 1-100.]

He stops at $9900. Wait wait -- don't come on down yet, please. We need to know -- did you do the right thing? Roll the dice one more time just for funsies, please. [NOTES FROM DOUG: Patrick, please respond with another roll code from 1-100 for "what if" purposes.]

(Patrick rolls dice down ramp as audience cheers) (louds groans) Oh my goodness! You would've made it by the hair of your chinny-chin-chin. Now you can come down and join us. (audience cheers) Can't give ya $30,000 -- but you did nearly a third of that -- $9900. Nice hand for Patrick. (more cheers) [NOTE FROM DOUG: For funsies, had the last roll really counted, Wally's calculation would look like this. We would calculate anything more than $1.00 if anyone exceeds the goal.]

[NOTE FROM DOUG: Making ¢ents would likely be played for luxurious cars and vacations. Meantime, we bring back a game we played on Hot Dice and Crag to this OAR test thread. Who but Patrick wants a try?]

(audience cheers) And welcome back to On A Roll. Hunter Dillon is playing one of our newest audience game -- which could pay off over 9000 bucks. (clip rolls) Nappa: What? 9000? There's no way that can be right. (audience laughs and applauds) Despite that, it is true you could win more than nine large in... ...Danger Dice! (audience woos) [NOTE FROM DOUG: Your host thanks David Frangioso for allowing On A Roll to use some of his artwork for this particular side-game. Please view his artwork at www.angelfire.com/funky/plinkoman/.] Now here's how Danger Dice works. Devon is showing us eleven sides between the two dice are worth different amounts of money. They range in value from $50 all the way up to $2000. (scattered cheers) But there's a reason we call this Danger Dice. The remaining 12th side of those two dice... (audience groans) ...has the danger symbol. Roll that danger side, the game ends and you lose everything you've won in the game. So after a successful roll, I'll give you a chance to stop and keep what you've won. If you score more than $3000, your money triples to more than -- nine -- large. See, I don't want the anime meme to pop up again. (scattered laughter) If however you can score *exactly* $3000, your money *quintuples* to... (FF reveal sfx) (audience cheers) ...$15,000! So -- ready to try?

[NOTES FROM DOUG: Danger Dice is making its debut here. The previously hinted game retooled from another dice game show I hosted should be next. As for Danger Dice, we're, at least for this test thread, going TJW's FTD. Rolls for this game are controlled by the Make Dice app for iPad. Dice for this app bounce a lot on the screen on each roll.]
Then you -- are on a roll. (audience cheers as...) (Steve rolls)And a modest beginning -- $350. (ding) Would you like to stop and keep $350 -- or risk the dice and roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)
