All deadlines are 48 hours and away we go. (cue intro) Rich: And now, a game of high stakes. Where every decision is a gamble. And every move could be your last. High Rollers! (cue 1987 theme) And here's the man with all the action, Mark Liotta! (I come out to a tremendous applause from the audience) Me: Thank you very much, Rich Fields. (Theme ends) Welcome to High Rollers everybody. If you saw the show yesterday, then you witnessed James become our first ever $25,000 winner here on the show. But can he do it again? We'll find out over the course of this half hour. Rich, introduce us to our players if you please. Rich: Player number 1 is our returning champion James Greek. His one day total is $30,528 in cash and prizes. Challenging James is Kevin Kolsen, an accountant from Long Island, New York. Me: Well Kevin, how are things going for you at the office?

Well, this the time of year when things pick up. We've already scheduled a slew of clients to talk about their 2014 taxes. By next month, we'll get buried in paperwork.

I'm glad I don't have your job. Good luck to you and to James as we get ready to play our match. The first player to win two rounds wins the match and goes on to our bonus round for a chance to win $25,000 in cash. Now then, let's fill up those columns with some prizes. What's in column one, Rich? Rich: In column one is a trip to Cozumel. You'll fly round trip from Los Angeles to Cozumel, Mexico for a six night stay in a beachfront room at the Presidente InterContintenal Resort and Spa. Daily breakfast is also included. This prize is worth $7,160. Me: Not too bad at all. Now, what's in column two today? Rich: In column two, a collection of autographed NFL jerseys. Collection includes jerseys from all 32 NFL teams. Each jersey is signed by one player from each of the 32 clubs. This great prize courtesy of the National Football League is worth $8,000! Me: That's pretty nice. Now, what are we going to put in column three? Rich: In column three, a Nintendo Wii U system. Have hours of fun with the Nintendo Wii U. Includes console, gamepad and six of the hottest titles for the system including Mario Kart 8. This prize is worth $1,783. Me: So all together, we have a total of $16,943 worth of merchandise up for grabs in this first game. Let's load up the numbers and see what our hot column is.
8 3 6 5 4 9 2 1 7 And the middle column is our hot column. Roll an eight and those jerseys could be yours. But as you both know, you can't get the dice until you win a jump in. So here comes our first question of the day. If you wanted to say good morning to somebody in Italian, what would you say to them?

Benvenuto?

No, benvenuto would be to welcome somebody. To say good morning, you would say buongiorno. James, you're up first for the dice. All numbers are good, so give those dice a roll please

The 8!

Take that eight off the board.
X 3 6 5 4 9 2 1 7
And here comes our next question. Of the nearly 300 N64 titles that were released in the United States during the console's lifespan, three of those games required the use of the expansion pack. Name those three games.

Donkey Kong 64 is correct. Majora's Mask is correct. Resident Evil 2 is..................not correct. The third one we were looking for was Perfect Dark. You were so close, there, James. Kevin, you get the dice now. All numbers are still good so roll those dice Kevin

It's a seven. How do you want to get rid of the seven, Kevin?

The five and the two, please!

The five and the two it is.
X 3 6 X 4 9 X 1 7
And by getting the 5 and 2 off the board, Kevin, the trip to Cozumel goes into your prize column. You'll only win it if you win this round, though. Here's our next question. In what country were the earliest European porcelain dolls made?

Three four and one. That clears off all of column two!
X X 6 X X 9 X X 7
All right, each player has a prize in their banks. Kevin has that trip in his bank while James now has those jerseys in his. Also, James, that's the second double that you rolled today. And since I neglected to give you a marker earlier for that first double, I shall hand you two of them at this moment. (I hand James two insurance markers) There you are, James. All right, we have only three numbers left on the board and here's our next question. In what year was the virus known as polio first identified?

Close, but you're a bit off. It was first identified in 1908. Kevin, you have a decision to make. We only have three numbers left on the board, which are 6,7 and 9. Those also happen to be the only good numbers left. Do you want to roll the dice or pass them to James? Keep in mind that James has two insurance markers and you don't have any.

James, the dice have been passed to you. You have two insurance markers, so you have three chances to roll a 6, 7 or 9. Good luck, James.

Get that six off the board.
X X X X X 9 X X 7
Only two numbers remain on the board as we go to our next question. In the novel House Rules, what's the name of the character who has Asperger's Syndrome?
