Well, Michael and the rest of you probably want to know how one word leads to another -- especially working from the money link. Let's recap the chain in full.

We noted earlier Fletcher Christian, also known as Mr. Christian in stories, led the mutiny on the HMS Bounty. You'll find a Christian in a church. If you're really quiet, you're said to be as quiet as a church mouse. Michael, here's the part that apparently surprised you; Mouse Island can be found in Lake Erie; it was once owned by President Rutherford B. Hayes. You'll certainly find islands in the state of Hawaii. And "Hawaii", as we noted earlier, is the title of a book by James Michener.
