(Back to the studio) We've got a close game here, but let's see if it continues as we start our third round. Nels has a $15 lead over his nearest opponent right now and here's the next set of questions.
1) The lollipop was invented in 1908 in the town of New Haven in what U.S. state? 2) Finish this quote from poet Ogden Nash: “Candy Is Dandy, But Liquor Is _______”? 3) If you are at a party or a dance, what does it mean if you are going “stag”? 4) How many times did Astronaut John Glenn orbit the earth in 1961? 5) What was the name of Peter pan's fairy friend?
(Buzzcodes and answers into my PM box please. Remember to say pass if you don't know an answer)

The lollipop was invented in 1908 in the town of New Haven in what U.S. state? (Buzzcode: 61; Matthew rings in) Matthew: Connecticut Me: That's the state.
Matthew: $46 Nels: $60 Clara: $45
Finish this quote from poet Ogden Nash: “Candy Is Dandy, But Liquor Is _______”? (Buzzcode: 74; Clara rings in) Clara: Quicker Me: Right for five bucks.
Matthew: $46 Nels: $60 Clara: $50
Back into second place now, Clara. If you are at a party or a dance, what does it mean if you are going “stag”? (Buzzcode: 87; Nels rings in) Nels: Party? Me: Oh no. Going stag means you're going alone.
Matthew: $46 Nels: $55 Clara: $50
How many times did Astronaut John Glenn orbit the earth in 1961? (Buzzcode: 4; Clara rings in) Clara: Three times Me: Three times is right.
Matthew: $46 Nels: $55 Clara: $55
What was the name of Peter Pan's fairy friend? (Buzzcode: 54; Clara rings in) Clara: Tinker Bell Me: Yep.
Matthew: $46 Nels: $55 Clara: $60
And Clara, with that correct answer, you have taken a $5 lead over Nels which means you've earned the right to play the Cash Card, and tonight it's worth $20,000. That's quite a lot of money, Clara. This would cost you $15 to play, however, and you would drop into third place should you do so. Before you make a decision, though, Stacey's going to tell you about the prize you could take home from this. Stacey: It's a brand new truck! Clara, you could drive out of here in a brand new 2019 Chevrolet Colorado LT Crew Cab Shortbox. Comes with standard features plus 2.5 liter engine, six speed automatic transmission, rear wheel drive, carpeted floor mats, all-weather floor mats, paint sealant and fabric protection. This truck retails for $31,428! Me: That is quite something, Clara. Now you've won quite a nice amount of cash and goodies already, but a little more couldn't hurt. Choice is yours, however. Do you want to give up $15 to play the Cash Card or are you comfortable with your current position in the game?

She doesn't want to go for the Cash Card. All right, that's no problem. You retain your $5 lead and the Cash Card will be worth $25,000 on tomorrow's show. But because everyone in America as well as Canada is curious, let's show her where everything was.
Spades: $15 refund Clubs: Cash Card Hearts: Truck Diamonds: Take $5
And there they were. So you still have your $60 but Nels and Matthew aren't too far behind you as we go to our next set of questions.
1) Before he became President in 1976, what politician was the governor of Georgia? 2) What Asian country is the island of Honshu a part of? 3) What yellow condiment is made from the seeds of a plant? 4) What name was given to the 19th century transportation route that connected five states from Missouri to New Mexico? 5) What Disney character has a girlfriend named Daisy and three nephews named Huey, Dewey and Louie? (Answers and codes to be submitted to me via PM please. As usual, you can say pass if you don't know an answer)

(Fame Game sfx) Time now for our third and final Fame Game of the evening. We need a famous Thing on this one and here come your clues. I am a sport that is played worldwide in many countries and that it’s economic imprint upon advertising is in the billions. Even though I am considered an American game, I was actually invented by a Canadian and it’s rules were somewhat based on an old child’s game called “Duck On A Rock”. In my early days, peach baskets and a soccer ball was used. When I was first played, a game lasted close to four hours and that’s because the ball had to be retrieved from the basket, so, it was decided to cut the bottom out of the basket so that the game ran much quicker. I am played in almost every aspect of a person’s life, from high school, college and professionally. I brought terms such as “dribbling”, “passing” and “blocking” new meanings. I am.......... You'll go to the board in just a moment, Clara. Matthew and Nels, you both played a very good game tonight. Sorry it didn't work out for both of you, but neither of you are leaving us empty handed. Matthew, you have that iPhone from the first instant bargain as well as $76 in cash for a total of $1,326. Nels, no prizes for you tonight but we'll multiply your score by 100 to give you a total of $9,000 in cash. In addition, both you and Matthew will receive a copy of our $ale of the Century game for the Switch. Clara, let's go to the Winner's board. (Clara follows me to the board) Clara, since you exceeded $100 during the main game, we have a car up for grabs on the board tonight and you'll find out about that if you win it. Of course, we have three cards on the board marked WIN, THE and LOT. To win the lot, you must uncover all three of those cards in that exact order. We also have some more great prizes up there as well, including the trip to Egypt that Burton mentioned at the start of the show. Go ahead and start picking, Clara

(Back to the studio) Well we've had a fine start to our new week. Clara became the champion, she won a watercraft on her instant bargain, $7500 from the $ale Surprise and now a trip to Egypt here at the Winner's Board. I say she had herself a very good night, didn't she Stacey? Stacey: She certainly did. Me: Her husband Steven is up here with us as well, and as I expected, he is very proud of his wife for winning $31,527. Now folks, on tomorrow's show, we will have a brand new permanent host with us. He's a man who's very respected in the game show community and I know he'll do a great job with us. I am pleased to officially announce Hunter Dillon as our new host for $ale of the Century. (audience applauds) We're very confident that he can continue the legacy that Greg Palmer left behind. We'll see Clara tomorrow night. We'll see Hunter tomorrow night. More importantly, though, we hope to see all of you tomorrow night as well. This is Mark Liotta saying so long from $ale of the Century. ($ale end theme, credits, fade out)
