Now, we're going to talk to you guys in a little bit, but first, let's play the game! And whenever there's a game, there's some rules! And the rules goes a little bit of something like this: The main object of the game is to score points, as well as cash and prizes, by eliminating all of the cards in your hand first before your opponents do. Before each round begins, our players will have their cards dealt at random from the "Lab Monkeys" at Random.org. They know their cards, but they don't know their opponents' cards, and a good way to win the round is to study your foes, as well as studying the cards. Also, a 3rd party was responsible for shuffling the cards before the show began and the Lab Monkeys have cut the cards during the break. In fact, speaking of cards, each player has 7 cards to begin with at the start of each round, like the normal game. BUT! Here's something exclusive that we, and only we people do here on Uno: The Game Show, and that's by giving you players a Head Start! (Audience oohs) In other words, before you even begin playing the cards, you have a chance to discard all BUT ONE of your cards from your hand. And you could even pick up some cash along the way! And the way we do that is by answering questions. I have 3 questions in my hand, players, and after giving out the Multiple-Choices and then the question, you will then buzz-in. You will have 24 hours to answer the question the moment you buzz-in, and we must accept your first response. If you're right, you'll get to discard 2 cards from your hand and our referees will put them at the bottom of the deck. But be careful, because if you're wrong, you get to add 1 more card to your hand, and the other players can buzz in and steal. So, you can start the round with as little as 1 card, or as much as 10. And now, here's a little twist! [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] In front of you is a board with 12 numbers and behind each of them are numbers 1-4 and a WILD card. I'll talk about the WILD card when someone picks it. Whatever number is revealed, we'll multiply that by $50 and that's the value of how much that question will be when you get it right. Now, we drew numbers backstage to see who will go first since we have 3 new challengers, and William, you'll get to start us off by choosing one of the 12 numbers on the board.

WILLIAM: 5 NELS: 5 MATTHEW: 5So after the Head-Start portion of the round, everyone managed to get on the board as all 3 players have answered 1 question correctly and have 5 cards remaining in their hand. Remember those numbers, players. Also, William has $200 and Nels and Matthew each have $100, and any cash score they get will be theirs to keep, no matter what happens. Now, we're about to deal out the cards, but first, let's explain on how this main portion of the round works. The traditional rules of UNO is applied, which a card can be covered with the same number or the same color, or a Wild card. If you don't have a match or if you don't want to play, you must draw a card from the top of the deck. From there, you can play that card or pass (if you can't or if you want to, that's up to you). If you could play and chose to draw a card though, you can't play another card than the one you've just drawn. Now, in addition to all of the numbered cards in the deck, there are 32 Action cards in the deck: 8 Skip, 8 Reverse, 8 Draw +2, 4 Wild and 4 Wild Draw +4 cards. For the first 2 rounds, only 14 of them will be used: 4 Skip, 4 Reverse, 4 Draw +2, 1 Wild and 1 Wild Draw +4 to make things fair. But that will change when the 3rd round and the Head-to-Head Showdown, the Wild Card Championship round occurs. We'll talk about that later.
