Another week is beginning on $ale. We've yet to hear back from champion Frank Sartori, so now we're looking for a co-champion (unless we hear from our champion).
Will three new people please check in?

Sure, Clara.
(pre-opening, at Tony's mansion) Greg: Hard to believe, isn't it? Happy: Yeah. Somebody's got to carry on the legacy. And that somebody is you. Are you sure you know what you're getting yourself into?Greg: Yeah, of course. (he looks around the mansion) So, this place has a lot of symbolism. Happy: This place screamed Tony Stark. His pride, arrogance, above-it-all detachment....Greg: Perfect for a bachelor. Maybe when I get married, things will change around here. Maybe I'll add a few rooms. It's a great base for the new Iron Man. But I did add a personal touch to it. (he walks over to a draped thing outside the workshop, and removes the drape, it's a statue of Tony Stark) [OPENING THEME]
This week, one of our contestants could win a climbing wall treadmill, a plectocycle, or a trip to Egypt!
And continue a journey towards a fortune in cash and prizes, including this pair of BMW M5s....
And hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash!
In total, over one million dollars on...
(echo) And now, here's our power couple, GREG PALMER and STACEY WREN!(wild cheers and applause as the doors open and the two of us walk, arm-in-arm, Pat and Vanna style, to the lectern)Greg: Thank you, Burton. Eat your heart out, Pat and Vanna. Welcome to $ale of the Century, it's Monday, it's a new week, and we're really starting the week fresh. (shot of an empty contestant area) We have no champion! (back to Stacey and me) Stacey: That's right. If you remember this past Friday, J.C. Hines and Marc Enyedy each won the Lot, and we've yet to hear back from our current champ, Frank Sartori. Once Frank comes back, we'll have co-champions.Greg: And speaking of J.C. and Marc, they will be competing against our 2018 Champion of Champions Evan Hatfield on $uper $ale, immediately following this program. Which means The Voice will be on at 9, 8 Central instead of 8, 7 Central. Just a little programming note there. Stacey: With the way the ratings have been going, I don't think there's much difference either way.Greg: Right you are. Stacey, who are our three challengers? (As Stacey introduces the contestants, models of the opposite gender escort them to their seats)Stacey: Well, this episode will be an international affair. First, we have a freelancer who was a spelling bee champion in middle school. From, and I hope I'm pronouncing this right, Gdynia, Poland, Matthew Ellwart. Next, he's a language student who is multilingual. From Novelda, Alicante, Spain, here's Sergio Roman Rodriguez. And finally, an Aussie! She's a mother of one who allegedly named her son after Tony Barber. From Sydney, Australia, here's Clara Solack!(audience cheers) Greg: Well, at least someone who has respect for one of the greats. Hiya, Clara. Now, please tell us some more about yourself.

Well, we've got a tour of Egypt on the Winners' Board this week, so you might win that. Good luck to you tonight.
Next, we have Sergio Roman Rodriguez from Spain. Now, in our country, Spanish is often taught as a second language in most public schools. Is English given the same treatment in Spain?

Indeed, Greg. Thanks to that, that's the reason of why I love learning languages.

Oh, wonderful. Good to know the sun never sets on the English language. Now, what best helps you learn a new language? Do you use apps or software, or do you use the more traditional methods of books and CDs and such?

All right, well, let's see if it helps you here. Good luck.
Finally, Matthew Ellwart from Gdynia, Poland. According to this card, you were a spelling bee champion in middle school. Now, were the words in English or Polish?

No, but we have English lessons in Polish schools and all the teachers that I knew were Polish. Personally, I've learned English all by myself and in my family only I can speak English really well.
