SHELL GAME
Great! Now, if you get this one, not only will you win the trip, but I'll give you a chance to make a little money on the side. What's the last item, Burton? [THE CATS V2]Burton: (VO) Finally, the 5.11 Tactical Screen Ops Tactical Gloves feature special fingertips that allow you to use most cell phones, touch screen computers, pads and tablets, GPS, and more - while still providing A1 protection. Kevlar knit fabric and perforated leather knuckle reinforcement makes these true multi-role Gloves for L.E. and military professionals. (Manuela pulls up the tab) [$50] Greg: The wrong price is $50. For the trip, is it higher or lower?

I'm thinking that it is higher, Greg.

All right. For a trip to Switzerland, is it higher? (Manuela turns the tag around) [HIGHER] [$85]
(dings)(cheers and applause) Yes it is! You're going to Switzerland, my man! (I put the last chip by the last shell)

SHELL GAME
Now, for the part about a little extra money I told you about earlier. (I pull out some money from under the table) I will give you, Ian, $2,500 in cash, if you can tell me where the ball is. Now I know Drew offers the cash equivalent of the prize, but I don't. You forget that a few years ago, the cash bonus only went as high as $1,000; and that was in 1985. So don't start complaining on Facebook about this! I'm looking at you, David Downs! And WayoshiM! And even you people at BuzzerBlog! (I stick out my tongue at the camera, the audience laughs and applauds) So, Ian, where's the ball?

(I clear the other chips, leaving the one in front of Shell #3) All right. I think we'll start with #4. If it's there, you don't get the money. (I lift it up)

Well, good. I'd like it back now, please. (he gives it back) Congratulations, Ian. [MAIN THEME](Ian exits) We've had three pricing games and three winners. Can we keep this up? The Showcase Showdown is next. (cheers and applause) (fade to black)

(fade in, cheers and applause)
Greg: Welcome back to the show, everyone. We have three contestants, and we have three winners! (audience cheers, half the audience stands up and gives me a standing ovation, in a parody of the State of the Union address, I humbly accept the applause, they sit back down) All right. All right. In the lowest spot, we have Ian, who nearly cheated in Shell Game, but won anyway. (audience cheers, then half stand up again for a standing O, then sit down) Next, we have Dylan, who knows the price of a Sea-Doo when he sees one. (again, half the audience stands for a Standing O, then sit down) And finally, Mark, who won a car! (the entire audience stands up to give him a Standing Ovation, then sits down)
(I look to the camera) Aren't you glad this isn't Congress? (audience laughs) Anyway, it's time now for the Showcase Showdown which involves this wheel. Ian, since you won the least, you get to spin first. Remember, the wheel has to go around at least once, or else.... well, knowing this audience, they'll give you a standing ovation again while they boo you.

(he spins the wheel)Here we go, with the first spin on the wheel. He won a trip to Switzerland and a snowboard...... (the dollar gets closer) And now it looks like he's gonna get a dollar! (audience starts cheering) He's gonna get a dollar! He.... got it! 1.00$5,000(dings)[Fan-Made "Dig We Must"](audience cheers) The lucky stiff got $5,000! Way to go. Stand over there. (he does) [SCORE TO BEAT:] [1.00] (ding)He nearly cheated in Shell Game and he got a dollar! All right, Dylan, you know what's before you. It's happened before, and it could happen again. You need a dollar. (2 numbers from 1-20, please)

(he spins the wheel)Man has no choice, he must get a dollar for a tie........ and you know, it actually looks close.... (the audience gets excited) It actually looks like he might do it......... 5(audience groans loudly, I look stunned) Amazing! One nickel! A nickel! Spin again. (he spins the wheel)He's got to get a 95 if he wants a chance at being in the showcase. Of course, he's already won that Sea-Doo, but I'm sure he'd want to win more..... 5A nickel again! Oh man! I'm sorry, Dylan. But good luck with that Sea-Doo and thanks for playing. Mark, you know what you must do. Get a dollar! (2 numbers from 1-20, please)

(he spins the wheel)Let's see what he gets here. On the hunt for a dollar........ and normally this would be a very good spin, but here..... 95No. Spin again. (he spins the wheel)A very good spin any other day, but not today. You need a nickel...... it's coming around..... it just went by........ and this does not look good. 40(over)You're over. I'm sorry, Mark, but enjoy that car. (Mark walks off as I reset the wheel to the 5-cent space) Come over here, Ian. You now have a chance at a Bonus Spin. Manuela is bringing in three envelopes, 1, 2, and 3. The envelope you pick determines how much that dollar is worth. One envelope is worth 25-grand, one is worth 50-grand, and one of those is worth $100,000! (audience cheers) So, Ian, which envelope do you want?
|

Post by palmer7 on Jan 30, 2015 9:48:08 GMT -5
(to the audience at home) We apologize in advance if we cut into primetime programming.
All right, Ian, since you have problems deciding, we'll just decide for you. Please step aside. (he does as I point to each envelope with my finger with each word) "Eenie, meanie, miney, mo, catch Drew Carey by the toe. If he hollers, cut said toe. Eenie, meanie, miney, mo. Gary Dawson told me to pick the very best one and you are it." (I end up with #3) Number 3, ladies and gentlemen. (I pull out #3 and open the envelope, peeking inside) Ooooh..... well, what do you know? (I pull it out and show it to the audience)
[$25,000]
You're playing for $25,000. That's not bad. Now, Ian, the wheel has to go all the way around at least once or else it doesn't count, and you don't get to spin again. No skill shots, you see. Land on one of the two green sections, I give you $10,000. Land on the dollar, and you get $25,000. Good luck, and give it a good spin. (a number from 1-20, please)

(he spins the wheel)Has it gone all the way around? Yes it has. Oh, and it's coming into the win area. Will it stop on the dollar?..... Will it stop on the dollar?..... Will it.... You've got $10,000! (audience celebrates) ["Dig We Must" with horns and such]You've just won $10,000 here, plus the 5 from before, for a total of $15,000 just in five minutes. You're doing very well. But we want you to win more, so we'll see you in the showcase. Now, Burton, most people don't realize that in order to be a contestant, you have to be in the audience first. How do they do that? [MAIN THEME](shot of the audience) Burton: (VO) It's quite simple, Greg. All you have to do is call (818) 555-4567 Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific Standard Time. Or, if you prefer, call from 12 PM to 8 PM Eastern Standard Time. That's (818) 555-4567 Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific Standard Time or 12 PM to 8 PM Eastern Standard Time. If you'd rather not call, go to priceisright.com and click on "Tickets". OK, Greg! Greg: Ian's already taken us for over $22,000 in prizes. Can he win more? Find out after the break! (fade to commercial) ------------------- (fade in) Greg: Well, we're back! We've miced Ian up, they've already miced me up, so why am I still holding this microphone? Tradition. Without our traditions, our lives would be as shaky as... as what, Ian?

(audience laughs) .....Not what I was thinking, but that works, too. We've got a showcase for you, but first... the Range Finder! (part of the main theme plays as the turntable spins around to reveal the Range Finder; if you've seen Bruce's Price is Right, you'll know what I'm talking about; Ian stands at a showcase lectern facing the board) (the dollar amounts rotate on the board)As you can see, we have dollar amounts ranging from $3,000 to $15,000. Whatever you hit will be how close you have to be to the actual retail price of your showcase without going over. Obviously, the higher the range, the better your odds. However, if you come within $500 of the ARP, we'll not only give you your showcase, but we'll also give you $1,000,000 in cash! (Million Dollar Fanfare plays)(audience cheers loudly) Now, the way that you pick a range is you hit that button in front of you. Now don't be in such a rush to hit it, just stand there and get a, a feel for it. You know? It actually requires a Zen frame of mind. Whenever you're feeling lucky, press the button. (a number from 1-9, please)

$15,000(audience cheers loudly) Whoa-ho! 15-grand, for the second day in a row. I got a good feeling about this. Ian, pay attention, because here is your showcase! [SHOWCASE MUSIC](the lights dim as Door #2 opens up to reveal James and Manuela with "Every Room in the House") Burton: Your showcase features prizes for every room in the house!
And we start in the kitchen with this wall oven!

Furnished by Plessers.com, it's lesser at Plesser.
Next, over in the family room, this new pinball machine!
From Stern Pinball, WWE Wrestlemania calls players into the ring as WWE superstars embarking on a quest to become the WWE worldwide heavyweight champion. Players train their wrestlers and then compete in a series of matches leading them on the road to Wrestlemania. This Limited Edition machine is individually autographed by wrestling legend Hulk Hogan on a bottom arch mounted gold plaque. Furnished by The Pinball Company.
Next, for the gym, this exercise machine!

And finally, while the movers pack everything in, you can relax.... on your cruise around the world! (Jennifer stands at the video screen in the back with the trip)
You and a guest will fly from Los Angeles to Fremantle, Australia where you'll board the Sea Princess for a 113-day roundtrip tour of the world in a balcony suite! You'll visit exciting ports of call such as Dubai, a scenic cruising of the Suez Canal, Rome, Lisbon, Helsinki, Cork, Boston, New York, South America, and more! All while enjoying the finer things in life aboard your cruise ship! Just relax and take in the culture. We're including transfers, vacation insurance, taxes, fees, and port expenses. Plus, you'll each get AUS$1,000 in shipboard credit and US$3,000 for airfare and incidentals! From Princess Cruises, come back new.
And this showcase with prizes for every room in the house plus a cruise can be yours if The Price is Right!
(audience cheers loudly) Greg: Wow! Now that is a showcase, Ian. A cruise around the world. Wowee! Now, add everything up in your mind. The oven, the pinball machine, the exercise equipment, the cruise around the world, and $3,000 in cash for airfare and incidentals. The AUS$1,000 in shipboard credit is included with the price of the cruise, so don't include that. Now, add all that up and give me a bid on that showcase. (audience shouts suggestions)

(ding)(audience reacts) [ARP: ] [BID: $66,666] [RANGE: $15,000]
$66,666. Interesting bid there. All right. You can be as much as $15,000 under, but not one penny over. Ian...... the actual retail price, of your showcase, is...... (the bid appears on the screen) [ARP: $98,839] [BID: $66,666] [DIFF.: $32,173]
[ARP: $98,839] [BID: $66,666] [UNDER]
[LOSING HORNS]You're kidding! You're kidding me! $98,839, so you're under by $32,173. I don't think you even covered the cost of the cruise, Ian. What do you have to say for yourself?

(in semi-mock outrage) Every room "thing"!?? You're busting my chops, aren't you? First you nearly cheat in Shell Game and make off with a trip to Switzerland, and then you take $15,000 in cash off the Big Wheel, and you're calling this showcase a "thing"!?!? Well, you can just take your $22,671 and LEAVE! (he does, I calm down) I guess he took me seriously. Well, at least we won three games today and got some money off the wheel. That's what counts anyway. Greg Palmer saying "Game over!" See ya! (I give the Dick Clark Salute) [MAIN THEME](cheers and applause) Burton: Contestants not appearing on stage will receive $500 in cash and the following......
This Valentine's Day, give him the gift the woman loves to be close to. The gift of Brut or Brut 33. It smells like a man.
