Greetings, all.
I wish I had better news to share. But my father has been hospitalized longer than originally thought.
Long story short, the recent heart valve replacement was a breeze. Doctors have since seen a need to insert a pacemaker -- and that procedure was also easy.
Without specifying ugly details, complications have arisen. He was in Intensive Care for roughly one week -- and was moved into a regular room just yesterday. The story, unfortunately, gets unpleasant from there.
Needless to say, my full-fledged comeback to NGC is going to have to wait. Crag, On A Roll and Lucky Numbers remain on hold until further notice. Also, Chain Reaction may have to be placed on hold partially due to the aforementioned plus a player's potential unavailability.
2019 has not gotten off to a great start at this corner. Prayers and kind thoughts are requested and appreciated.
May God bless,
Douglas M. Morris

All,
For about the third or fourth time ever, I had to abort a game I've started hosting. The 27th episode of Chain Reaction is ending early for these reasons...
1. Unfortunately, my dad has taken a turn for the worse two weeks after hospitalization began. Best to say nothing further at the moment.
2. As Frank Sartori announced here, he's going to be off the NGC grid for a few months. There were plans for a special guest challenger to replace Frank, play against Nels and finish the game from there. But, in deference to the first reason, there's really no reason to progress this game further.
...as a result, the aforementioned episode is canceled -- and will be "rebooted" at a later point in time. Best for Crag, On A Roll and Lucky Numbers to remain on hold. I'm also taking a break from @dougmorrisgames on Twitter and Instagram until further notice. Participation in the HS side of MG-HSH will be, to say the least, "wait and see".
Thank you for understanding -- and may God bless you and the loved ones you treasure.

Just now read this Doug. So very and truly sorry and disheartened to hear about your Dad's health struggles.
I continue to keep you both in loving thought and prayer.
Update us when you can.
I wish there was more I could do for you both.
Respectfully...
Bill

Greetings, all. Without going into specifics, we are looking at options in an effort to move forward. Plan A, Plan B, and even Plans C, D and E have been discussed.
As for NGC, Crag, CR, LN and OAR Daytime are still on hold. There's a chance I'll host an episode of The Name's The Same -- for the sake of my sanity. That's relatively easy to host remotely.
Thank you for your patience. A phrase from the previous net game universe I was a part of is ringing true here. "Actual reality before virtual reality."
May God bless you and the loved ones you treasure.

Doug,
Thanks for keeping us posted.
I know from personal experiences that it is never easy when a loved one is having health challenges, most especially a parent.
With empathy and continued prayerful support,
Bill

The news is getting better for Dad. Here's the revised tentative plan for a return to NGC...
\ As you're probably seeing in MG-HSH, Tony and I are trading places. He's hosting Match Game -- and I'll be hosting Hollywood Squares. This is something I've wanted to try for some time.
\ In the midst of the HS side of MG-HSH, we'll try, but cannot guarantee, to restart Episode 27 of The $40,000 Chain Reaction.
... no matter when exactly Dad comes home, your host will need some time to unwind from the events of the last several weeks.
Thank you all for your continued prayers, patience and support,
-D.M.

Doug, thanks so much for the update. Absolutely you have been put through the proverbial ringer we realize and will need time to reset and refocus and to just breathe even, especially having had to live for weeks, months even sitting on what must feel like pins and needles.
Keeping you and yours in continued loving thought and prayer...

Pleased to tell you Dad is home. A few matters need to be settled before I can adopt a new normal.
