Sorry, Mediterranean ladies! The cruise will have to wait. I have to defend my title.
Checking in, Mr. Bergman!

Here we go....... Ladies and Gentleman, one of these two people will have a chance to win up to $20,000 in cash as well as the possibility of a brand new car. There is a catch......not only do they have to be correct, but they have to be. And here's your host.....JOHN BERGMAN. Thank you, everyone and welcome to LETTER PERFECT. A game of trivia and words with a possible $20,000 and maybe a brand new car up for grabs. On our last show, we have a great player who became our champ and won not only $20,000 but a beautiful MEDITERRANEAN CRUISE. Let's meet him again....MICHAEL. (APPLAUSE) Welcome, MICHAEL, to LETTER PERFECT........how are you doing?

I can see that you have a very big smile on your face and I don't blame you. You have a total, in cash and that great cruise, of $29,850.
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
Any plans for the cash, MICHAEL??

Of course, talking about very intellectual stuff with them, I'm sure.....(COUGH, COUGH).
But, before you do that, you have another chance to win a lot more...however, as always, you have a challenger to your throne and his name is KEVIN.
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
KEVIN, welcome to our show,....tell us about yourself.

St. John's University is in Jamaica, New York. It's relatively close to me (about an hour's drive away).

Well, that's great to hear....I bet Jamaica, New York is not as warm as the real Jamaica during this time of year.
Glad to have you here, KEVIN and I wish you well at our game.
Glad to have you both here and now here's the rules for LETTER PERFECT.
The object of our game is for our contestants to solve a puzzle. It could be a person, place, thing, event, title, phrase, whatever. You get a chance to solve the puzzle by answering questions in which a letter that's in the puzzle is also in the answer of the question I'll be asking the both of you.
Once one of you picks a number from the major puzzle, we will reveal the letter underneath the number and then show you an answer with blanks, but it'll have that same letter in it as well. Each question will be from hard to easy, with the hard ones being worth $100, the middle $50 and the easy ones worth $25.
Also, we'll reveal another letter in the answer as the question go on. The one who buzzes in with a correct answer (we will use buzzcodes from 1 to 100) will win the money the question is worth and then will have a chance to solve the master puzzle.
Now, the master puzzle starts out at $500 and, for every letter after the first that is revealed, will drop down by $25. You win a round by solving the master puzzle and collecting the cash the JACKPOT is worth.
We have some letters in our master puzzle that are PRIZE LETTERS meaning the one who gets the question right wins a nice prize and there are letters that are BONUS LETTERS which gives you one free letter for use in the bonus game if you are the winner. If we go to a third round, if both our contestants have won a round and it's a tie game, then everything is doubled. That means that questions are worth $200 to $50 and the JACKPOT starts at $1,000, going down $50 for every new letter.
The person who wins two games wins the match, becomes our champ and goes on to LETTER PERFECT PLUS for a chance to win $20,000 and maybe a BRAND NEW CAR.
Any questions??

In that case, let's start our show.....Our first category is a PLACE. Now, as for picking the letters, we thought we try something unique. We have flashing random lights on our letters and when our contestants press their buttons, it will land on one of the letters. Remember, two of our letters are BONUS LETTERS and one of them is a PRIZE LETTER. MICHAEL, since you are the champ, you press the button first. (Pick a number from 1 to 17).
