Whenever you win the question, you have the right to change your middle card into... ...a 4! [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Very good change.

Risking it higher than a 6... [BUZZER, AUDIENCE GROANS]No, it's a 4. And Kevin loses both cards. Frank, you have a free chance at calling on your 5.

Higher than a 5... [BUZZER, AUDIENCE GROANING CONTINUES]It's another 5. Both players fail to advance at the end of the second play. We're now midway in the second round as move on to our next question. *grabs card* Kevin... we've asked 100 first grade students-- Do you have a secret hiding place that even your parents don't know about? How many of them say they do have a hiding place?

|
|

I think a lot of first graders can be boastful but their parents may catch up with them sooner or later. I think this will be a middling number: 45.

[DING]45 out of 100 say they do have a secret hiding place that even their parents don't know about. What do you think, Frank... higher or lower?

As an early childhood major, I think most 1st grade students would have a secret place hidden away. I think that number is higher.

[DING]I'm curious about that question targeted for the first graders. Let's find out... Kevin says 45 of them and Frank says the answer is lower. The actual number of first grade students say they do have a secret hiding place that even their parents don't know about is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]47. Frank's right... it is a little bit higher. You have a 5 as your base card, Frank. Do you want to play on that card or change it?

Freeze.

Post by tmann3x on Sept 27, 2018 23:50:31 GMT -5
And we'll move the freeze bar for Frank as he's one card away from winning the first round of the match and $1,000 for his charity. Kevin needs the whole thing... 4 cards to win round 1. *grabs card* Fourth and final question mean it's time to play... Audience: SUDDEN DEATH! [CHEERS, APPLAUSE]Tony: That's right, folks... Sudden Death. Someone's gonna win it on this play of the cards. The control of the board is important for this round. Frank... we've asked 100 policemen-- Do men stay calmer than women in an emergency? How many of them say that the men do stay calmer than women in an emergency?

It depends on the situation. Like if a man's wife went into labor, I think most would panic. But the question is asking of an emergency in general. I'll say 67.

I've learned back in high school health class that women tend to be more emotional when it comes to certain things. Don't ask how but I think that should be the case here. I'll say it's a little higher.

[DING]This will determine the control of the cards. Frank says 67 and Kevin says it's higher... The actual number of policemen say that men do stay calmer than women in an emergency is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]31. Not higher... it is lower. Frank, Sudden Death time. You have a 9 and need one card to win the first game of the match. You can change your card since you've won the Sudden Death question. If you pass it to Kevin, he must play on his 4 and call all four of them right. What's your decision... play or pass?

[AUDIENCE GROANS]You could have passed the card to Kevin. Let's find if that risk is worth it. Your middle card is now-- --a Queen. [APPLAUSE]Call this card right, you win. If you goof, Kevin wins. Call on your card higher or lower.

Lower.

Post by tmann3x on Sept 30, 2018 14:42:21 GMT -5
If it's lower, you win the first game of the match. If not, Kevin wins round 1. Is it lower...? [BUZZER]No... so that means Kevin wins game 1! [WINNING BELL SOUNDS, WIN CUE, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Kevin wins round 1 and the $5,000 goes to The Salvation Army. Frank... had you ever passed the cards to Kevin, you could have gotten a much greater chance of winning the game. Fear not... because when we come back after this message, we'll see if you could tie up the match and go into a one question Sudden Death match. We'll be back with the final episode of Card Sharks. Stay with us... [MAIN THEME, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]*fade to commercial* =====================================================================================================

That flashback comes from the original show hosted by the late, great Jim Perry. It's strange to see the late Bill Daily playing against the odds on the cards and the shock on the late Marcia Wallace's face after calling all of his cards right. Right now, we have two hosts playing for their favorite charities. Kevin had won the first round of the match and his $5,000 is going directly to The Salvation Army. His opponent Frank, who's playing for Cradles to Crayons, will try his luck at tieing the match up. And during the commercial break, our models Rachel and Amber has placed a new set of cards for our stars. We now begin round 2 with our very first question. *grabs card* Kevin... we've asked 100 bachelors-- Have you ever dated a woman older than your mother? How many of them say they had dated a woman that's older than their mothers?

Oh boy, pulled that one out of thin air.
I don't know too if many bachelors would aspire to be "cubs" but it could happen. I'm sure this will be a low number: 27.

There are some guys who do date older women. I mean, love is love right? I think that number is a bit higher.
