Nicely done, James! You solved it and you needed it as well because without it, you'd have been able to purchase only one number. You've earned $7.50 worth of spending money for that solve...
(ding)
...and this time you have initial control of the draw. You may purchase your 3 numbers now or defer to Anthony and let him make his purchases first. What shall it be, James?

Anthony, since you did not solve the puzzle, you have the higher price for number purchases this time around. They are $5 each this round, so unfortunately, you can only purchase 2 numbers this time. Which 2 would you like?

2 and 4 it is -- I'm surprised you dropped the 6 considering you've matched it twice already.
James, your numbers cost $3 each, so which 3 numbers would you like? Anthony gets to protect one of his numbers, so you can choose 2 or 4 if you like, but not both. In this round, the numbers in play are 1 through 20.

Ok, interesting strategy there, but James has helped you out by choosing only two numbers, Anthony. If that 2 comes up and James doesn't match anything, Anthony will be our champion!
Olivia, please load the drum with the lottery balls for this draw -- the numbers 1 through 20 and 10 red balls.
* Olivia begins loading the machine *
This draw will determine who will be our champion and get a shot at that hundred-thousand-dollar jackpot! In this round, one match is worth $10,000 and two gets you $25,000. If James had purchased a third number and matched them all, he would have won $50,000!
I see Olivia has loaded the machine and has it turning. James, you solved the puzzle, so you get to draw that first number. Push that button please and good luck to you both!

Here we go, first number of the last regular draw of the game...the light is flashing...here it comes down the shoot...
... and ...
Olivia shows us a 4!!!! I cannot believe how many matches you two have had in this game!!
(ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding) (audience applauds)
Now, decisions to be made, gentlemen. There are 10 red balls in play this time around, which if drawn next, would wipe out the ten grand you just won. James, since you are in the lead, you need to decide first if you're freezing or playing on. If you freeze, that will force Anthony to keep going. At that point, Anthony wins with a 2 being drawn. If you play on, Anthony could freeze and win if a red is drawn and you don't match your 11.
Play on or freeze, James -- what shall it be?

Ok, James is playing on and risking the ten thousand dollars he just picked up. Anthony, for you, this opens up a possible freeze strategy. Even though you are trailing at the moment, if you freeze and James draws a red ball on this next draw, he would then have to draw the 11 on the last draw to win the game. This is a bit of a gamble though, because if you freeze and the next draw isn't a red ball, James can then freeze and still win the game.
On the other hand, if you play on, you have to draw your 2 on one of the final two draws to have any chance at winning.
Do you want to play on or freeze here, Anthony?

Alright, so Anthony has decided to freeze here, guaranteeing himself a payoff of $17,500 but he is now out of the draw, so if the 2 comes up, he does not win any more money.
James, in essence, Anthony is gambling on you drawing a red ball next. If you do, you lose your $10,000 from this round and then you'll have to draw that 11 on the last draw. If the next draw is not a red, you can win the game by simply freezing or if you really want to gamble, you can continue and draw the last number for a chance at an additional $15,000!
Since Anthony has frozen, it's all you James. Hit that button and, as you said before, no Whammies and you're golden!

It's a big draw here for James...he could win the game on this one...the light is flashing...the trap door opens...
... and ...
...with a frown on her face, Olivia reluctantly shows us a red ball! (audience moans and ahhhhhhs)
(bzzzzz)
Ah James, I'm so sorry, but that wipes out the ten grand you won for matching that number 4 earlier.
Well, it couldn't get more clutch than this and the odds are certainly against you -- you now have a 1 in 28 chance of winning this game, James. If you draw that 11 next, you win -- anything else and Anthony is our champion.
I wish you luck, sir. Take a deep breath and when ready, hit that button, please!

James needs an 11 in the worst way...here comes the last number of the draw...
...Olivia's got a five in her hands and that means Anthony has won the game!!! (audience applauds as the theme begins to play)
(ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding)
Well James, you had guts in this match, I'll give you that. You went for it, but it cost you the game in the end, but hey, all is not lost, you leave us with the nice even sum of $10,000! Congratulations!
(audience applauds as I shake James' hand and he exits the stage)
Anthony, you froze at the perfect time and picked some great numbers in this game I might add -- both of you did, in fact. You are the one who has prevailed though -- to the tune of $17,500 but you're not through yet! (I turn to face the camera)
Anthony and I will be back for the Jackpot Round, where we'll try to tack on $100,000 more to his total -- right after these messages!

(fade in with applause and theme as the camera zooms to my position standing next to Anthony at his podium)
Welcome back to Draw Your Numbers, folks! If you're just joining us, we've just finished a very exciting match that came down to the last draw to determine our winner and Anthony's decision to freeze turned out to be a smart move which took some guts since he froze at a time when his opponent had more overall winnings that he did. James' gamble didn't work out though, so here I am with our inaugural champion, Anthony Long! (audience applauds)
Anthony, that was a fun game -- congrats on the win! I'm curious, what made you decide to freeze at that particular moment?

Well, my gut was telling me to freeze after what happened in round 2. I said to myself, "Don't risk it because it might be the wrong number I picked."

Yep, listening to your gut is a good idea and usually turns out in your favor. Well Anthony, you've done well so far -- you have $17,500 in your pocket that is yours to keep, but a chance now to stick the number 1 in front of that total in our Jackpot Round! (blang)
Anthony, here's how this works. First of all, while I explain this, I'm going to ask Olivia to load the lottery balls that will be used in our Jackpot round.
* Olivia begins loading the drum *
In this round, we once again use 30 balls, but this time, we have the numbers 1 through 25 and 5 red balls in play. In a moment Anthony, you will hit that button on your podium and hopefully draw a number. Whichever number you draw, we will multiply by $100 and also add the number on the ball to your score on this Jackpot scoreboard, which currently is zero. So, for example, if you draw the 12 to start off, that's $1,200 bonus cash for you and a score of 12 on the board.
The idea is this -- each time you draw a number, that number is added to your score and that number times $100 is added to your bonus cash total. On this graphic we have here, the black numbers with the gray background are your draw slots -- you may take up to 10 draws in this round, but no more. If you can accumulate a total score of 100 or more in 10 draws or less, instead of $100 times that total, you win our jackpot of $100,000! (audience applauds)
Now, with every game, there's a catch which in our case are those pesky red balls -- in this Jackpot round, they act as wipeouts -- they take away all your bonus cash and they reset your score to zero. As I said, there are 5 red balls in play -- if you draw 3 of them, you wipeout completely and win nothing in this round. You can also stop at any time and take whatever bonus cash you have earned at that point.
Any questions before we proceed, Anthony?

You're the defending champion as long as you keep defeating your opponents, so indefinitely.
Now, there's one other twist to this Jackpot game, Anthony. Going through this will no doubt cause some tension and anxiety. I am willing right now to offer you $5,000 to walk away and not play this round. Now, on the one hand, that's a decent amount of money that, once all is said and done with this Jackpot round, could be more than you end up with. On the other hand, you could earn even more than that amount in just 3 draws.
So, would like to walk away with $5,000 or shall we play on -- what's your decision, Anthony?

Ok, well the $5,000 offer is withdrawn in that case. I wish you good luck, Anthony! Olivia has the drum loaded and spinning, so when ready, hit that button and let's hope for a big number and a good start!
