David says that last number is zero. How about that? (bzzzzzzzzzz)
I'm starting to think we've got the wrong numbers in this bag! (audience chuckles)
* puts the zero back in and shuffles 'em up *
Just keep drawing numbers David and all's well. Reach in there and pull one out!

(bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)
Uh oh, strike one, David. It was a curveball that caught the inside corner.
* puts the strike back in the bag and mixes them up *
Let's think number now everyone -- we want a number for David! A number! Reach in there and get a number!

David says the fourth number is seven. (ding) (audience applauds)
YES! David, you should know where they all go now, it's just a matter of pulling them out of that bag!! Good luck, let's all think number as he reaches in and pulls out a number!

The last number is eight. (ding) (audience applauds)
Yes indeed! So David, there's a strike in that bag and there's a zero in that bag. You pull out that zero and that's your Acadia sitting over there. Let's all think number -- get that zero out of there, David! Let's win that SUV!

(bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)
Somebody out there wasn't thinking number. Who was it!?!? Admit it, who was it!?!? (audience chuckles)
Well David, the drama gods are certainly with us on this game. This is your last chance to win that SUV.
* puts the strike back in the bag and shuffles the two chips around *
Let's win that Acadia, David! Reach in there and get that zero!

(audience groans)
Oh David, I'm so sorry. You started out so well too, lighting up the five right off the bat, having no strikes for a while, but it was a fifty-fifty shot on that last grab and you pulled out the wrong chip. What a bummer!
Well, it's not all bad though because you'll be back a bit later for our first Showcase Showdown and who knows -- you may spin yourself a million bucks on that wheel! I'll see you then.
Three Strikes is a great game, but man, it can sure produce painful losses sometimes, can't it? We'll try to get ourselves a winner after you take a look at this...

We have our four bids and the actual retail price of the air hockey table is...
...eighteen hundred dollars and the winner is Bill!
C'mon Bill, let's head back to these big doors...
...and play a pricing game, shall we?
*arrives at big doors, turns around looking for Bill*
Bill, where are you? He's down there hugging all the girls in the front row.
* Bill finally arrives next to me *
Congratulations on winning that prize to get up here, Bill. Have you got space in your game room for that table? Tell us a bit about where you live, what you do, all that good stuff as well as a thought for a charity for us to donate to, if you wish to make a suggestion, that is.
(NOTE: Okay, this time I think Bill's gone until Saturday, so we'll resume then -- Happy 4th of July everyone)

Bill's post said he would be back early Saturday, so I'm going to start the 48-hour clock now so that we can proceed with the show. If we don't hear from Bill by Monday night, I will choose someone else to play this pricing game.

(I'm back!)
Well, I'm from Queens, New York, and I enjoy playing all types of games, video and arcade, especially those based on game shows, so yes, that hockey table would look sweet in my game room. As for a charity, I'll leave that up to you.

I think Anchorage is a lot more than $2,331, so let's go with that.

I think you're probably right about that. That trip to Alaska is more than twenty-three thirty-one, isn't it? (ding ding)
Sure enough! Choose another please, Bill.
