I've been meaning to update on my dad's situation. He is getting better. He went for an MRI this morning. He won't find out the results until Monday. He might not be able to return for another week and there is the possibility that he'll need surgery. We won't know until Monday.

Well, results from the MRI are back. He is to stay out of work for this week. Technically, he'll be home for 3 weeks because the next two weeks he has vacation. My availability on the site could be limited for the next three weeks.
