He's taking a chance and going higher...................No, a four (4S; buzzer) You go all the way back to the beginning of your row. (1978 Card Sharks theme) And we go to our first commercial break, but we'll have more Card Sharks after this. (Fade to commercial)

(Back to the studio) All right folks, we're back with more Card Sharks. We have a good match going here which we will continue right now with a question to Anthony. We surveyed 100 baseball fans and we asked them: Should the league institute robot umpires? How many of them said that the league should institute robot umpires?

I say that I am a baseball fan myself. I don't think that many would institute robot umpires. I say 37 of them would like to see it.

Anthony says that it's 37. (ding) Bryan, is it higher or lower than 37?

The closest thing you got to robot umpires is instant replay, so I'm gonna go lower!

Bryan says it's lower. (ding) The actual number of baseball fans who said that the league should institute robot umpires is: 93 of them. (ding ding ding) It's higher, not lower, so control goes to Anthony who still has the three. Play it or change it?

Higher than the two.....................a nine (9D). You have one card left; do you want to flip it over or freeze on the nine?

I am going to freeze.

He's going to freeze on the nine. (Freeze bar goes on the nine) And with that, we move to our fourth and final question of the round. Somebody has to win on this next play of the cards and the question goes to Bryan. We surveyed 100 taxi drivers and we asked them: Have you refused service to someone because they didn't have enough money to pay the fare? How many of them said that they've refused service to someone because they didn't have the fare?

Depending on which city you grab a taxi, I’m sure it’s commonplace . So I will say 70.

Bryan says 70 of them have refused service. (ding) Anthony, is it higher or lower than 70?

Anthony says it's lower. (ding) The actual number of taxi drivers who said that they've refused service to someone because they didn't have the fare is: 42. (ding ding ding) It's lower, so control goes to Anthony. Now then sir, you have a decision to make. You have a nine, and only one card to go. Bryan has a Jack and three cards left. You can keep control and play yourself, or you can pass to Bryan. You can also change the nine should you choose to do so. What do you want to do, Anthony? (audience yells suggestions)

I'm going to play it myself and change the 9.

He's changing the nine, and it is now..............a six (6D). You have to play this one, and if you miscall, Bryan wins the first round.

For the game, higher than the six...................look at this, it's a prize card! (ding ding ding) It's a trip to Puerto Vallarta and that would definitely be a nice prize to win. We'll send you there if you win this round, but in the meantime, we'll put a new card on the board and you can call the six again.

(My bad, I did mean the six. Post is corrected) Once again, higher than the six......................a nine (9C) and Anthony wins game one! (Game win sfx) Nicely done, Anthony. $500 cash for winning the game and Jim's going to tell you about the trip you just won. Jim: Anthony, we're sending you to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a six night stay in a deluxe oceanview king suite at the Carsa Mama Boutique Resort. Daily breakfast is included along with a whale watching cruise. This exciting vacation is worth $6,290! Me: Anthony, in that one game alone, you've won $6,790 cash and prizes and that is yours to keep regardless of how you do in the rest of the match. (Card machine loads in new cards) We've got new cards set up and ready to go for the two of you as we begin this second game with a question to Anthony. We asked the following to 100 single women: If on a first date, the guy asked you to pay half of the restaurant check, would you date him again? How many of them said that they would still date him again?

55 of them would date him again according to our friend Anthony. (ding) Bryan, higher or lower than 55?

A woman expects a man to be fully strapped with cash. I say lower.

Bryan says that it's lower. (ding) The actual number of single women who said they would still date him again even if they had to pay half the bill is: 28 of them. (ding ding ding) It is indeed lower and Bryan starts game two with........an Ace (AS)! That's a great card to start with, Bryan.
