 Well, here we go. I did a couple of test runs at home, and added a few more bonus games. Now, I'm hoping that this will be a great series.  Geoff Edwards did a great job, and I hope I do as well. Novelda, Alicante in Spain! Whoa! This is the very first time I've heard of that place. I've heard word that it's one of the popular cruise tourist attractions. And these are our challengers! Let's hear it for them! (Audience Applause and Cheers) Now, you've met our challengers, but you haven't met our champion yet, and 2 of you will do just that, but the other will be eliminated. This game will be played 3 rounds, in which the first 2 rounds are split into 2 halves while the 3rd round is the final. I hope that you all got your brains in gear, because knowledge and speed are the keys that will help you get to the famous Treasure Chamber. Of course, only one of you will be able to get there. (Audience Applause as we fade in) DK: OK, and we're back! And we got a game to play! Now players, let me tell how this game works. The object of the game is to earn as many seconds as you can in your "Time Bank" to help you earn as many picks as you can in the "Treasure Chamber." Now, to start you all off right, I'm going to give each of you 15 seconds in your Time Bank. | JAMES | RAYMOND | SERGIO | | TIME BANK: 15 | TIME BANK: 15 | TIME BANK: 15 |
And you can add more seconds to your Time Bank by answering questions on our board.  This is the first half of Round 1: General Knowledge. This is one of the keys of winning the game. Here's how it's going to take. We have categories for "Timer", and they are as follows: ROUND 1 CATEGORIES:25 Seconds: Grab Bag 20 Seconds: History 15 Seconds: Music 10 Seconds: Science / Technology 5 Seconds: Dunce Cap The Dunce Cap category is where people have answered some of the easiest questions and still got them wrong, as some would say that 2 + 2 = 22. (Audience Laughs) Now, you pick a category and that will determine how many seconds you're playing for. The type of question will differ based on how many seconds... 25 Seconds: 2-Part Question 20 Seconds: Standard Question (No Choices) 15 Seconds: Questions with 4 possible answers 10 Seconds: Questions with 3 possible answers 5 Seconds: Questions with 2 possible answers Now, if you answer a question right, you will not only win that amount of seconds, but you'll also a receive bonus question based on the correct answer, and if you answer that correctly, and I'll give you 5 more seconds. But be careful, because if you answer a regular question wrong, you lose 5 seconds, and I'll give another player a chance to answer. Once the board has been cleared, I'll give each of you a chance to win 90 more seconds in the second half of Round 1, but we'll talk about that later. In the meantime, we've drew numbers backstage to see who'll start the game, and James, you'll going to pick the first category. |
