(Cue All-Star Blitz Opening John J: Tony Lane! Kevin Kolsen! Christopher Mixon! And John Bergman! John J: All in the game that's just over their heads! John J: And here's the master of the Blitz Board, David Hammond! (Audience cheers as lights come on over the contestant's podium) David: Thank you John! Welcome to All-Star Blitz. Hello stars! (Stars out of unison: "Hi David") Looks like we'll have to work on that. It's our first episode, and we're glad to have you with us. Allow us to entertain you and watch us give away some of VBS's hard earned money! We have two contestants here ready to get their hands on that money. On my right we have Matt, and on my left we have Greg Palmer. We'll meet these guys at the beginning of Round Two, but right now let's get into the game. The object of the game is to uncover the six screens and figure out what is hidden there. Our four panelists are responsible for the column of stars just over their heads. For example, here is John Bergman's top. (Audience laughs) When a box is surrounded by stars, a piece of the puzzle is revealed. Good luck to the both of you and the category for Round One is..... (DING!) On The Menu. We always start the game with two free stars, and here they come...... (Stars light up) Seeing we don't have a challenger, we kind of had a random draw, so Matt you will start. You get VR$250 for every successful judgement, and you will lose control of the game to Greg if you make a miss-judge. Knowing all that, Matt pick a star.

(DING!) David: Kevin, in the game of Parcheesi, if a player gets two of their own pieces on the same space, what is the effect?

I'm pretty sure it means it's a block. No other players can pass it until the they're separated

Kevin's right. You can't pass that space until the pieces are separated. (Audience applause) (DING!) You're still in control Matt, continue.

Monica Lewinsky's How to Use a Cigar on DVD.
(audience loses control)
Sorry... I would have to say that Team USA have won the America's Cup.

Sorry Matt, Tony's right. Team New Zealand was sitting on match point for eight straight days, and Team USA came back and won the final nine races to win the America's Cup, dubbed one of the greatest moments in sports in 2013. Greg, you're in control, pick a star.

(DING!) David: Tony, within 5,000, what is the current seating capacity of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum?

None.
(light laughter)
I would say... 90,000.

David: According to official records, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum can hold 93,607 spectators. Tony was indeed within 5,000 so that's counts a miss-judge Greg. Matt, you're back in control, pick a star.

(DING!) David: Going for the first piece of this puzzle. Kevin, at what age is a Cardinal in the Roman Catholic church no longer eligible to vote to elect a new Pope?

I'll say at the ripe age of 70.

You have have to be a Cardinal under the age of 80 to be eligible to vote for the new Pope. Tough break there Matt. Greg, we can't give you the piece of the puzzle, you have to earn it yourself. So we'll go to another question for Kevin. Kevin, is it illegal in the state of Pennsylvania to buy a car on a Sunday?
|
|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Nov 17, 2014 19:53:47 GMT -5
Only if it's raining.
*laughter*
Of all the things you can and can't do on Sunday, buying a car shouldn't be one of them. I'll say no it is not.

It is one hundred percent ILLEGAL to sell a car in Pennsylvania on a Sunday. (Audience groans) Matt, we're back to you. You have to earn the puzzle piece yourself so back to Kevin we go again.
Kevin, This particular 1990's prime time show was allegedly created because of Aaron Spelling's displeasure towards certain executives at NBC. What show was it?

It was the hit show starring Gilbert Gottfried: "YOU FOOL!"
*laughter*
No, it was a spin-off because the original was on NBC. It's Melrose Place.
