If Bill finds an ace in this category, then he'll go to the championship round to face off with Clément. Otherwise, this round will continue. What Christmas icon that came from a book penned by Robert L. May has an alliterative name? (BC:44) Bill: 50 (DING!) gameboy2000: PassBill, to answer. Bill: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (applause) Me: Yes, that is correct. The repetitive "R"s make it alliterative. Again, if the card is an ace, you win, Bill. What is under that category?
It's a five! (Audience groans) What's your pleasure? Keep it or exchange it with the top card? (Audience members shout different choices--camera points at Bill's family making suggestions) DEADLINE is 11:59:59 PM EST Tuesday December 2. Choice of category will be delayed until the outcome of this turn.

(Audience chants FACE OR ACE!! FACE OR ACE!! FACE OR ACE!!) See what you started, Bill? (audience chuckles) A face would be good; an ace would be better yet! Leslie, what do you have? Leslie: Sorry, Bill. (Audience awws) Me: You didn't get a face or ace. However, you are still in it. Will you continue with another category or freeze on 16? (Audience yells suggestions)

(Scattered applause from the audience) You have frozen and are safe at 16. Gameboy2000, if you get a 17 to 21, you will advance to the championship round. Bust or fail to get at least 17, then Bill moves on. Please pick one of the remaining 6 categories. If you miss the deadline of 11:59:59 PM EST 12/4, then Bill wins by default.

Let's play with this category; "Walk the Dog", "Around the World", and "Sleeper" are tricks performed by what toy? gameboy2000: Yo Yo. (applause) Me: Indeed it is. Will the cards be toying with you? Let's see that card. A seven. This will give you 9, or you can take the top card. What's your decision? (Audience yells advice) Deadline is 11:59:59 PM EST 12/6, or you take the 9 by default. Please select the next category, too.

(Applause) That brings you up to a 9. Any card between an 8 and an ace will give you the win. Coming soon to a question near you... Henry & June was the first movie to receive this MPAA Rating. Name it. Gameboy2000: NC-17 (More applause) Me: That's two in a row! If you get a total of 17-20, it'll be to the Championship Round you will go! (Audience vamps up) (SUSTAINED DING DING DING BELL, Theme plays, Audience Cheers) That will take you to 20! You have unseated the champion, and you'll compete against Clément in just a moment. Bill, I am so sorry to tell you that you will be leaving us. However, you will not be leaving empty handed. With a pool table and a fistful of cash, you'll be leaving us with $7,855. (Applause) When we return, Gameboy2000 and Clement compete to go to the bonus round, and one of them could possibly drive home in a new Porsche! (Whistles from the audience.) Don't go away. (COLD OPEN) Welcome back! I have great news to pass on. Coming very soon on NGC3, we will have a night time special of this show called Top Card Deluxe! One contestant could walk away with over $100,000 in cash and prizes in one evening. (Applause) Look for it on NGC3 some time next week! In the mean time, we have Clément and gameboy2000 in the Championship Round. Whoever wins this round wins the right to play for one of these five fabulous new cars. (NBC woos and whistles) We won't know how this will go until someone wins a toss up. Hands on plungers. 16, 18, or 20; how many countries currently use the euro as their sole currency? (BC: 61) GB2K: 34 Clément: 54 DING!!!Me: Clément, to answer. Clément: Eighteen. (Applause) Yes, indeed. That number will increase to 19 when Lithuania starts using only the euro in 2015. Anyway, Clément, please choose from one of the following categories to start: (Audience giggles and laughs as I read the categories) Hmmm...interesting categories to say the least. What is your selection? Selection deadline is December 7, 11:59:59 EST, or control passes to your opponent.

Me: I'm sorry to tell you that you will not get an automatic card for picking this category (audience awws), but here is a question about cards: a soccer player who spits at an opponent or any other person will get what color card from the referee? (BC: 25) Clément: 56 DING!! gameboy2000: 70
Me: Clément, to answer. Clément: A red card (and at least several months of suspension) (applause) Me: Yes that is right. No red card here, but what card DO you get? It's a king! Take it or the top card? (Audience shouts a particular suggestion)

Me: The pen is mightier ...than which legendary sword of King Arthur? (41) Clément: 37 (DING) gameboy2000: 67 Me: Clément, again! Clément: Excalibur. (applause) Me: Yes, you are correct. You said this category tempted you. As a result, you got.... (Audience is shocked, sustained bell, theme plays, applause) Me: Clément, you may want to buy a lottery ticket, because you grand slammed the championship round too! I'm shocked. We'll play the bonus round in a moment. Gameboy2000, there was an error about a question earlier in the show where you gave an answer that was ruled incorrect. However, further research showed your answer was acceptable. Therefore, we will bring you back on the next show. You will still keep the $1000 you won earlier today. (applause) Leslie: When we come back, we will see if Clément can also grand slam the bonus round. If he does, he'll take home a brand new car! Don't go away! (applause)

(Theme plays for a few seconds as applause dies down) Me: Welcome back! I'm here with our new champion, Clément. He got a blackjack with just two cards in both of his rounds for a grand total of $4200 in cold hard cash (applause). Here are the rules for the bonus game: The way to win a car is to get a 21 in four cards or fewer. You'll be picking off additional prizes off this board. As a bonus, should you get a blackjack with just two cards, you will win all these prizes on the board. Any 21, however, will earn you one of these cars which Dan will tell us about: (Vamped theme music) Dan: Clément, you could win a Nissan Frontier worth over $26,000 (wooo); a Mitsubishi Outlander worth over $27,000 (ahhh) ; a Hyundai Elantra worth over $17,000 (yeah woohoo); a Buick Regal worth over $31,000 (whistles); or a Porsche Boxster worth over $61,000! (Wild cheering) (Theme fades out) Me: Clément, Leslie is holding 5 envelopes--one for each automobile. Which number would you like to pick? Clément: 1. Me: Go ahead and take it from Leslie and hand it to me. (Leslie places the other envelopes on my podium as she walks over to the cars.) Clément, let's see what car you'll play for today. (Opens envelope) It's the Mitsubishi Outlander! (applause) Dan, tell us more about it. (Car Theme) Dan: It's the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander. This SUV features a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine, all wheel drive, CVT transmission, and the SE premium package. Furnished by Moses Mitsubishi. This SUV is worth (Car cue fades out, applause and cheers) Me: Let's get this party started. Which prize would you like to pick first? Clément: How about the ping-pong table? Me: Excellent start. Let's hear more about it, Dan? (Prize Cue) Dan: From Butterfly, enjoy hours of fun with a rollaway table, paddles, and balls (footage of Leslie and Dan playing ping-pong -- audience cheers as Leslie scores a point) Retail value $800. Me: That is yours for the moment. As for the card....it's a..... KING! (Screams of joy from audience) You started out with a king in the Championship. Keep it or take the top card? Do you want to select the next prize or stop? (Audience shouts suggestions)

Me: If you find the ace, then you will win every single prize on that board, plus the car and the $4200 in cash you already won. This will be a grand total of over $48,000! (Audience gets excited.) Where do you think the ace is? Clément: The Sauna. (Audience yells out "yeah" "You got it" and other positive affirmations) Me: We all hope the ace is there, but Dan needs to tell us about the sauna. Dan? (prize cue) Dan: This 3-person sauna has 2 Portable ergonomic backrests, 7 Color therapy lights, and Premium AM/FM CD player. Plays MP3, WMA and includes a remote control. Furnished by Crystal Saunas. Retail value: $3695. (applause) Me: We are all pulling for you! Leslie: Bonne chance, Clément! Me: Okay, it's the moment of truth. What's behind the sauna? Me: Oh NO! It's the Joker! (Classic Concentration FAIL horns) (Audience boos and expresses disgust) I am so, so sorry, Clément. That Joker is an automatic bust. (Audience awwws). No car, no ping pong table, no sauna. (Leslie offers a consolation hug.) Okay, let's compose ourselves. You didn't win anything in the bonus round. That's the bad news. The good news is you still have $4200 and you get to come back tomorrow to try it again. (light applause) Also, the sauna and ping pong table go in the vault. Should a player pick the Joker on the first pick, they will win the vault instead of the car. (Applause) Leslie: Where was the ace? Me: Oh, yes, the ace was.... Me: Behind the necklace. (Theme starts) Maybe, next time. We'll be back tomorrow for an exciting installment of Top Card. For Leslie Banks and Dan Jensen, I'm Joe Emerson wishing you a good day. Leslie: Bye-bye! (applause) (Departing contestant plug) (Contestant/Audience Ticket Plug) (The following have paid or furnished prizes to NGC for promoting their products:) (Contestants must meet eligibility requirements and were furnished with complete rules.) (Discovery of a contestant's ineligibility will result in forfeiture of accrued winnings which will be donated to a bona fide charity at the discretion of the producer.) (Leslie Banks' wardrobe provided by Cute Potato; Joe Emerson's wardrobe provided by Botany 500000) (Slow credits) Dan: Top Card is a Reid-Land Production.
