I'm looking for four panelists and two contestants for the pilot/episode 1 of All-Star Blitz. Below are the rules. Anyone interested just reply and state if you wish to be a panelists or contestant.
Name: All-Star Blitz
Contestants: Two (One being a returning champion most of the time)
Panelists: Four
Objective: To earn clues to solve a puzzle by judging the veracity of a panelist's answer.
Contestant call and panelists:
2 days before a new episode is to begin, a contestant/panelist call will be posted to Channel 3. Anyone interested in playing will be asked to reply to the post and include a number between 1 and 1000. The player/s that is closest to the secret number will be the contestant/s for that episode. We'll look for one player if we have a returning champions, two players if we do not. Anyone that wishes to be a panelist just needs to state so when they reply. Four panelists will be chosen at random for each episode.
Gameplay:
Two free stars will be given at the start of each game, and the category of the puzzle will be revealed. Starting with the challenger (or if we have no returning champion, the player that was closer to the secret number), will choose one of the panelists and which of their 3 stars to light up (top, middle, or bottom).
That panelist will then be asked a question and secretly sent a choice of answers, one of which is correct. While a panelist may indeed know the correct answer, they are not at liberty to choose it if they do not wish. A panelist is allowed to bluff at anytime. Once the panelist has posted their choice, plus any comedic response they wish. It is up to the contestant to either agree if they think the panelist is right or disagree if they think the panelist is wrong.
A successful judgement wins that contestant VR$250 and they maintain control of the game. An unsuccessful judgement passes control to their opponent.
Once the four stars around a box on the Blitz Board are lit up, a piece of the puzzle will be revealed. A contestant can not earn a piece of the puzzle by default, they must earn a piece of the puzzle by virtue of a successful judgement.
Once a piece of the puzzle is revealed the contestant can either choose to solve the puzzle to win the game, or keep playing to reveal more of the puzzle. If at any time a player attempts to solve the puzzle, their solution MUST BE EXACT as we have it written. Any deviation will be considered an incorrect solution. If a player's solution is wrong, control passes to their opponent.
A player can win the game in one of two ways:
A) Give the correct solution to the puzzle
OR
B) Light up the last star available on the Blitz Board
The first player to win two games, wins the match, an extra VR$2,500 is added to their money, and the chance to play the Blitz Bonanza for the progressive jackpot. The loser keeps whatever money they earned for successful judgements.
The Blitz Bonanza:
The winning contestant will now face the Blitz Board and attempt to solve one final puzzle. Before the round is played the contestant and panelist will be told the category of the puzzle. If the contestant fails to give the correct solution, the panelists can win the contestant a consolation prize.
To simulate the spin of the Bonanza Wheel, I will use Random.org to generate a number patten from 1-25 with NO REPEATS. Four of these numbers will simulate the wheel stopping on Screen 1, four on Screen 2, and so on. The 25th space is a star space and acts as a wild card, it can be used to reveal any piece of the puzzle the contestant wishes.
The contestant will choose four numbers from 1-25 and the results of those choice will be edited as if the contestant has spun the wheel four time. If a contestant picks a number that simulates the wheel stopping on an already occupied screen, that counts as a wasted spin. Note that the wild card star space can be used only once.
Once the results of the four spins have been posted, if the contestant has anything less than four screens revealed, the contestant if they wish may trade their main game winnings in for one final spin of the wheel or may attempt to try to give the correct solution.
Once the contestant has made that decision, the panel will be asked to privately send me what they believe is the correct solution. Once all four panelists have locked in their solution, the contestant is asked for their solution, again the solution must be exact, as we have it written. If the contestant's solution is indeed correct, they win the progressive jackpot that starts at VR$25,000 and goes up VR$5,000 every time it is not won.
If the contestant's solution is incorrect, the contestant wins VR$1,500 for each panelist that did give the correct solution. The contestant then comes back on the next episode to defend their title.
Contestant can stay on All-Star Blitz up to four times. If a contestant manages to win four consecutive games, they will win whatever the current Blitz Bonanza jackpot is worth, and the chance to play the Blitz Bonanza one final time for a sports or luxury car.
Hope to see a good turnout! Good luck!
