Seems logical, you went top, then bottom, now center... And another $2,000 for that choice! Brings your total up to $7,000, all in cash thus far Kourtney. Still all five Fool's Gold cards lurk on the board, all four prize cards still up there, the $10,000 money card, lots of other things too. Next toss-up question coming up... 1979 OR 1982? IN WHAT YEAR DID JOHN MCENROE WIN HIS FIRST U.S. OPEN SINGLES TITLE? www.dougmorris.net/dice/HR78_BUZZIN.mp3And we hear from our champion Frank for the first time tonight. Frank, your answer please.

(buzzer) Oh no...believe it or not it was back in 1979! I would have thought '82 too but then tennis was never my racket. (audience groans) Anyway, Kourtney, since Frank unfortunately missed the question, you are back in control of the board again. All 5 Fool's Gold cards lurk still, you now have $7,000, all in cash, at risk. Lots of good stuff still on the board, 17 good picks out of 22. Do you want to pass or play, Kourtney?

Risking $7,000 in cash on this selection. Number 12... DOUBLE GOLD!!!!! (Wild cheers and applause) Kourtney, this means your score doubles from $7,000 to $14,000! (applause) There is one more Double Gold card on the board and if you select it on your very next turn Kourtney, you will have a $28,000 lead and that will win you this game. Onto our next toss-up question for control of the board... AS OF 2012, WHAT WAS THE ESTIMATED POPULATION OF THE UNITED STATES? WAS IT 313,914,040 OR 317,823,090? www.dougmorris.net/dice/HR78_BUZZIN.mp3Kourtney is first, your answer please...

No (buzzer) Actually it was "only"...(chuckling) as if....313 million and change. This means Frank, you now control the board. Five Fool's Gold cards can't hurt you as you have $0, but if you pass and Kourtney selects one, he will drop back to zero. On the other hand, there is one more DOUBLE GOLD card, if you pass and Kourtney happens to select it, he'll dethrone you as champion. Frank, do you want to pass or play?

I'm gonna play it. I'll pick 25.

Southeast corner of the big board... What's behind 25? Frank, this is something new, this is Random Riches. The dollar amount could be anywhere from as little as $750 to as much as $7,500. You can take this if you think it might be high, or you can turn it down and pick another number instead. Do you want the Random Riches and hope it's a lot, or do you want to pick another number instead?

Frank's intuition is to keep the money. How much is it? Well hello there! (cheers & applause) That's a nice one! $6,550! Frank, your instincts that time proved to be as right as rain! Both players now on the scoreboard, and here's the next toss-up question. IF YOU UNRAVELED A BASEBALL, HOW LONG WOULD THE YARN INSIDE MEASURE IN FEET? WOULD IT BE 660 FEET OR 1,102 FEET? www.dougmorris.net/dice/HR78_BUZZIN.mp3Kourtney, you're in first again, your answer please.

Oh no! (buzzer) Another stumper. It's actually 1,102 feet of yard in a baseball. Small wonder there are two teams named "Sox"! Frank, this puts you in control of the board. 20 numbers left, 15 are safe, five will bring you back to zero. For this reason you may elect to pass, although the odds are 3 to 1 in your favor at the moment. Should you pass and should Kourtney hit the other Double Gold card, he'd go to $28,000 but wouldn't be enough for a win, since a player has to have a $25,000 or more LEAD to win. With that information in mind, do you want to pass or play the board Frank?

Oh wow! I thought you would have chosen to pass! Let's see if this strategy works out for you Frank! What's behind box number 4 tonight? (flip) Another money box! (applause) Frank, do you want the top, center, or bottom bill this time?

And up top this time we have... A modest sum, but $800 nevertheless... That music is a reminder that I must put another quarter in the parking meter. Kourtney has $14,000 at the moment, and Frank at $7,350. Very good game underway here, and it will continue, right after these words of interest. Won't you please watch? Thank you.

(applause) And we are back in the middle of a very well played game. Our current champion Frank has $7,350 in cash on his side of the board, challenger Kourtney $14,000 also all in cash thus far. Still lots more to win up on the big board, but lots to lose too as not a single Fool's Gold card has turned up as yet. Back now with this toss-up question... Our last question dealt with baseball and so too does this one... 1903 OR 1908…IN WHICH YEAR WAS THE FIRST MODERN WORLD SERIES PLAYED? www.dougmorris.net/dice/HR78_BUZZIN.mp3Kourtney is in first. Your answer please.

Number 3 it shall be for Frank... OH NO!!! (audience screams) That was the first Fool's Gold cards of the evening. Kourtney, excellent strategy on your part, tough luck on your part Frank. But take heart, for the same thing could happen to your opponent, with 4 Fool's Gold cards still lurking up there. Next toss-up question players... GOING BACK EVEN FURTHER IN TIME, ABRAHAM LINCOLN WAS OUR TALLEST PRESIDENT. WAS HE 6' 3'' OR 6' 4''? www.dougmorris.net/dice/HR78_BUZZIN.mp3And it's Quick Draw Kourtney again. Your answer please.

7 feet 2 inches with the stovepipe hat. Kourtney is right! (applause) You have $14,000 at stake Kourtney. 18 numbers left, 14 are safe, so the odds are 7 to 2 in your favor of finding something other than Fool's Gold. If you have a fear of it though, you may pass again but keep in mind, there's one Double Gold left in play on the board too, if you play and if you find it right now, you will become the new Gold Rush champion. Still a $10,000 card up there, an insurance marker... Pass or play Kourtney?
