I have a dilemma. Two dilemmas, actually. If i should ever do a Sale of the Century, i need your help in choosing the endgame. Shopping, Winner's Board or Winner's Big Money Game, and tell me how YOU think it should work. All comments will be greatly appreciated and taken into consideration if i should ever do Sale of the Century. Thanks.

Winner's Board
20 Squares, 10 prizes. Once a champion clears the board, they have the option to keep their prizes or risk them to come back and play one final game. If they win, he becomes $250,000 richer.

This is what I'd do, too. In fact, the last time I attempted this, I made this a 16-space affair with a $100,000 payoff for clearing the board and risking the prizes.

Hmm... sounds good. If i choose the Winner's Board, though, i would probably do like the australians did and institute a cash jackpot for clearing the board. What would you say is a good starting point for the cash jackpot, and how high should it go every time it's not hit?

What would you say is a good starting point for the jackpot, and how high should it go every time it's not hit? Good Idea. I'd take Jon's suggestion of $100,000 and have it grow by $5,000 each show until hit.

Taking that into consideration, i can see that jackpot easily total $1.2 million if it winds up going in that direction. I figure that because at one point on Aussie Sale, it took 229 shows to ultimately give away the jackpot, which ended up being worth $508,000.

If running multiple shows to get a grand prize isn't doable, there is a Con-host named "Greggo" who just did a Sale of the Century Game. His end game featured 21 squares, 9 matching pairs of prizes and 3 moneybags. You played until you matched a prize, then you could choose to keep the prize or try for another. How the moneybags worked is if you got all 3 moneybags before you matched a prize, you won everything plus the jackpot. How I see it converting to a net game is like this
2- Prize worth $1,000-$2,000 2- Prize worth $3,000-$4,000 2- Prize worth $5,000-$8,000 1-$10,000 Cash 1-Luxury Trip $12,000-$20,000 1-CAR or CARS $30,000-$70,000
In order to win everything, you have to find the 3 moneybags before you match a prize Doing so wins everything plus $100,000 in Cash (Plus $1,000 a show until won) Making the package worth $150,000-$200,000 or more, depending what prizes are on offer
If you match a prize, you can keep the prize or play on for a better prize, At this point the 'Lot' is out of play and the moneybags each become a bonus of $5,000 cash if found. Naturally the chance is there that a lesser prize would be won

I've heard about Greggo. I'm pretty sure he did anime versions of Press Your Luck and Tic Tac Dough. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I'll beta test that version of the Winner's Board and report back with the results.

I beta tested Greggo's Winner's Board, but instead of money bags, i used the traditional WIN cards. I added 2 additional WIN cards from my homemade Winner's Board for my SotC board game, an additional CAR card, 2 $10,000 cards, and 2 Level 6 and Level 7 cards. Works pretty good, and makes for a weekly version of Sale if i should ever manage to do one in the near-future.
