I've created some new rules to make this game work better in my humble opinion.
I would love to test it out on somebody and to share with the rest of the viewing audience.
Who would like a chance at 4 lovely cyber prizes plus $5,000 in cyber cash?

BURTON: A cozy dinette set, a luxurious pool table, this stylish brass cradle, and a deluxe chess set... BURTON: First... Each prize has a treasure chest assigned to it. Hidden in one of those four chests is the fortune, which is the $5,000 in cash. I'm going to give you three clues, one at a time. If you attach the right clue to each of the other three prizes, you will win all FOUR prizes plus the $5,000 in cash. However, during the game, I will make you offers to stop the game if you have one or two prizes right. We'll check those after all 3 clues are placed. Here is clue number one... Identify which prize is more than $2,000 in price. Is it the dinette, the pool table, the brass cradle or the chess set?

Very well. Before we start revealing prices, are you happy with these choices? You may make changes if you wish to.

Very well then. First we'll see the price of the chess set... (ding) That is correct! Now if you wish, you can quit and take the Chess Set home, or we can continue. If you have made a mistake though, you'll lose the chess set. Do you want to stop or continue?

Let's check the price of the pool table... (buzzer) (losing horns) Oh no! That Pool Table was exactly $1,799. Let's look at the rest... The brass cradle was the one over $2,000 in price, the Dinette was just $499... It was the dinette set that had the fortune today. Jonathan, I'm sorry you didn't win, but we will see you later on at the Big Wheel! Meantime, there is more Price is Right coming up!

That's actually a good variation of the rules; it corrects the problem that existed under the old rules, in which the contestant didn't have to eliminate the prizes that fit the clues exactly, and it wouldn't have mattered anyway if he ended up selecting the correct box.

Exactly Bill! That was always one thing about this pricing game that I detested, a player could be wrong all 3 times in theory and yet still win. This way, they are required to be right. The clues are akin to the blocks for Easy as 1 2 3 or having 3 price tags instead of 4 for Race Game.
I hope to test this out again. I'm also wanting to do other retired pricing games and figure out how to improve them if possible.
