Greetings, all.
As noted elsewhere in NGC, this will be the last Daytime OAR for the calendar year of 2017. Daytime OAR resumes after we ring in 2018.
As promised to Matt Ringgenberg earlier, we're letting him play one of our audience games. "Time permitting", we'll play another with someone who hasn't played at all this episode.
Also effective this post, no deadline pressure since Matt and "player T.B.D." are playing against the house, we're winding down the year and Thanksgiving is on the horizon here in the U.S.
So, Matt, please respond to this and we'll move forward from there.

(audience cheers) And we're back with On A Roll. We've got a good bit of time to spare. We're going to spend part of that time giving Matt Ringgenberg a chance to win more money. Now he did lose a match fair and square earlier. But since I've got a floor director still showing me "stretch", we'll stretch and let Matt play... ...It Takes Two. Matt, here's how it works. We have five different amounts of cash randomly hidden behind those numbers. They range in value from $500 to the golden payoff of 24K, or $24,000. To uncover an amount, all you have to do is roll one dice cube. The number you roll reveals the case behind that number. To claim the cash, just roll that number again. You'll keep rolling until you repeat a number. So, are you ready to play It Takes Two?

Then you -- are on a roll. (audience cheers as Matt rolls) Starting with a 6. What's there? (ding) (audience cheers)
Helloooooo, gorgeous. You found 24K right off the bat. Roll another 6 before repeating any other number and you're $24,000 richer. Think you can roll another 6?

Then do it to it, please. Roll a 6. That's -- not a 6. But let's see if 1 hides something good. (ding) (scattered groans) It's $500. Well -- I think you'd rather have $24K than $500, right?

Okie doke. Come onnnnnnn -- 6! (Matt rolls) (audience groans) It's a 1 instead. (ding) And that concludes matters. $500 more from us. Just to prove to the world we have an honest game and there was just the one 24K prize, please reveal the other dollar amounts. (FF reveal sfx) There ya see 'em. Two fives would've paid off five large -- and you see lesser amounts to the left of that $5000. Well, Matt, we now say farewell to you. Those five bills you won here join your other winnings for a grand total of $41,000. (audience cheers) And you'll also get to enjoy a nice, if brief, walk with both of our dice girls, Shelly and Devon, as they escort you off stage. Another nice hand for Matt. (audience cheers) Who wants to win a car? (several hands go up; audience cheers)
[NOTE FROM DOUG: The next audience game *probably* is going to start after Thursday -- which marks Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. Due to that and the upcoming holiday season, there will be virtually no deadline pressure. So, with that, next player to respond to this match, who hasn't played at all in this thread, gets to play.]

James, welcome. Before you get on a roll for a chance to win a great set of wheels, please tell us something about yourself.

Nice to have you here from Alabama -- where your neighbors will envy you after you win this. Tiffany: IT'S A RESTORED CAR! (car music plays) (audience cheers) Tiffany: This restored 1965 Ford Mustang two-door coupe comes with a powerful V8 engine, chrome wheels, restored leather and a touch of nostalgia. This fantastic car is worth $26,500. (audience cheers) And you can win that car playing Driver's Test. Now, to start you off in the driver's test, we have to start off where it says "start". (ding) Now in a moment, you'll be moving clockwise toward the space that says "car". The moment you reach the "car" space, you pass our test and win the car. However, if you land on cash, you may end the test and take the cash you land on. You'll have a maximum of four rolls of one dice cube to reach "car". In the event you pass by the "car" space, we'll let you shift gears -- if you wish to keep playing. One more thing. If you haven't landed on "car" after four rolls, you win only half of the cash award you end the game on. Do you have any questions?

Doug: Then you -- are on a roll. Obviously, a 6 will automatically win you the car. Good luck and go get it. (James rolls) Doug: You get a 4 instead. Doug: Let's count it out, folks. (ding) Doug and audience: One. (ding) Doug and audience: Two. (ding) Doug and audience: Three. (ding) Doug and audience: Four. Doug: And you end up on $2000. You're two spaces away from the car. I'll let you stop and keep $2000 in cash -- or you may take the second roll. (audience shouts suggestions)

Doug: Okay. Two thousand bucks are coming back to the house. Roll a 2. (James rolls) (scattered groans) Doug: That's 2 in triplicate. Let's count off six spaces clockwise, folks. (ding) Audience and Doug: One. (ding) Audience and Doug: Two. (ding) Audience and Doug: Three. (ding) Audience and Doug: Four. (ding) Audience and Doug: Five. (ding) Audience and Doug: Six. Doug: And you're now on $1000. If you play on, you'll be shifting gears still toward the "car" space. You'll need a 4 to win. With two rolls left, James, want to stop and take the $1000 or roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

Doug: All right, your shifting backwards. You want a 4 for the win. (scattered groans) Doug: And it's a 6 again. Doug: Here we go. (ding) Doug and audience: One. (ding) Doug and audience: Two. (ding) Doug and audience: Three. (ding) Doug and audience: Four. (ding) Doug and audience: Five. (ding) Doug and audience: Six. Doug: And just like that, you're back at the $2000 space. With one roll left, you need a 2 to win the car. Remember, anything other than a 2 means you win half the cash you end up on. So if your last roll were a 1 or a 3, you don't win $2500; you win $1250. So the odd are good you'll trade down if you roll one last time. But if you feel a 2 is on the way, roll it. What's your final decision -- roll one last time or keep $2000? (audience shouts suggesions)

(audience cheers) Doug: Going for the win. Good luck and get that 2. (more cheers as...) (...James rolls) (audience groans) Doug: It's a 4. Doug: Obviously not the car -- but let's count and see the final destination. (ding) Doug and audience: One. (ding) Doug and audience: Two. (ding) Doug and audience: Three. (ding) Doug and audience: Four. Doug: And you end up at the other $2000 -- but since that was the last roll and you bypassed the car, you get half as much or $1000. That's not bad.
