Time to get on a roll and start a new week of programming
Some notes on rule changes are in order.
\ In Big 6, anytime a player solves a main game puzzle with just one clue fully exposed is entitled to an extra hint for the Big 6 word.
\ In Lucky 7, the top cash payoff is $100,000 for a contestant who wins a game in the match. Winner of the match becomes champion and plays Lucky 7 for a prize or a maximum cash payoff of $250,000.
With that noted, we have a match to resolve between Antonio Gray and Matt Ringgenberg. They've each won a game; one *will* play for up to $250,000 in Lucky 7 and up to $120,000 in Big 6. As we ask them to check in, for the rest of the universe, please bookmark or keep an eye on this thread. We'll let you know when we seek a new challenger.

Staff announcer: "9JKL" -- tonight at 8:30.
(exterior shot of Bill Cullen Studio in Rancho Cucamonga) Director: (over loud speaker) Stand Doug by in five... four... three... two... (cut to interior with Doug and champion standing near Crag dice from Crag: The Numbers Game) Doug: Karen, congratulations on winning the championship and $7500 in cold hard Crag cash. Win the next match and you'll be back here at the Super Crag to win more -- and hopefully have better luck against that durn gremlin. Karen: Oh, I can't wait to play this again. This was fun. Doug: Great to hear. Folks, we're out of time. For all of us on the Crag staff, this is Doug Morris saying -- make it a great day, keep the faith and treasure your loved ones. ( audience cheers; WGYN theme plays) Director: (over loud speaker) Annnnnd -- that's a wrap. Great show everyone. Doug: All right, thanks, all. Now it's on to another game with red dice. Arnie: Car service is ready to head west, Mr. Morris. Doug: Please -- it's Doug. Don't make me feel older than I already. Devon: So -- *Doug* -- Shelly and I want to come with you to watch On A Roll. Shelly: We want to meet Tiffany -- and Wally. Doug: Oh, wonderful. I'm sure I could -- (cell phone rings; $OTC ringtone indicating Greg Palmer's calling) -- hold on, Greg's ringing. ("picks up" call) Hey, Greg, we just wrapped up here. Greg: (at Television City) Good. I need your help. Our guest models canceled on us at the last minute. Doug: Oh -- they did. Greg: Got any ideas? I'm *really* desperate here. Doug: (breaks fourth wall by looking at camera) I sure do. (vamp to opening theme as camera zooms in on game board)Tiffany Phillips: Two dice... ...two players......two chances to win big. Every now and then, good things do come in twos as we get -- On A Roll! ...On A Roll! (opening theme plays; audience cheers) Joining us at the game board -- from Crag: The Numbers Game -- it's Devon, one of the Super Crag dice girls. Making herself at home at the dice table -- also from Crag: The Numbers Game -- it's Shelly. And here's our host, ready to get on a roll, Doug Morris! (audience cheers) Doug: Thank you, Tiffany. Hellooooooo, everybody -- and welcome to On A Roll: The Letters *and* Numbers Game. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Hey, if Price and Deal can cross over, why not two dice games I host? Shelly, Devon, thanks for coming over with me -- especically on short notice. Shelly: We're honored. I'm stoked to be in the same studio where Price is Right's taped. Devon: And I play On A Roll from home every day. So I think I've got this. Doug: Great -- because we've got a match to resolve. Let's meet today's rollers. (theme plays; audience applause) Antonio Gray and Matt Rinngenberg. Antonio has won two matches and $104,700 in cash. (audience cheers) Matt just tied up the match on the last show and picked up $40,500 along the way. (audience cheers) But now it is time to resolve this match. And we're going to start breaking the tie -- with this name game. (FF reveal sfx)Nine-letter famous last name. And here's your question. Who got on a roll -- when she was the blonde-headed Bundy?(ding)[Antonio and Matt, please PM me your answer and a buzz code from 1-100.]

36 gameshowfan1986 69 mringgenberg 43 random.org(Antonio buzzes in)Antonio? Antonio: Applegate (dings; audience applause) That's it -- Christina Applegate. Truly amazing stuff followed during and after "Married... with Children". Antonio, please step in the box. Four rolls of the dice are yours. Let's load up a game board, please. (FF reveal sfx; Devon poses by numbered and blocked spaces) Now, on the board, we have three dice -- or -- uh -- three clues. (scattered laughter from the crowd) A crossover episode does run the risk of confusion, doesn't it? Really, we have three *clues* on the board -- a two-word clue in the top row, a single ten-letter word in the middle and a two-word clue at the bottom. Antonio, you'll be rolling numbers and sums to try to uncover as many of the letters as you can. The letters that are blocked by the question marks stay blocked until you correctly solve a clue. As always, please be careful and do *not* roll doubles. Anytime you throw doubles, you lose control of the dice to Matt -- as he takes command of the round and a free letter along the way. (Shelly hands Antonio the dice) Thank you, Shelly. Antonio, you know the rules, you have the dice -- and you -- are on a roll. (Antonio rolls)First roll's a 4 and a 5. Antonio, this means you may take any 4 and any 5 off the board -- and you don't have to play them on the same row -- or you may combine those numbers and take a 9.

(Devon touches screen)Starting with a P... (Devon touches screen)...and an L. Antonio, as you know, you may guess the top row's clue or roll again. For new viewers, anytime a player gives a wrong guess on a clue or the overall puzzle, there's no penalty.

(dings; audience applause) That's it. Very good. Now, we have one roll left in this round -- but, Antonio, you could win the match right here and now. Based on that top row's clue, what is the solution to our puzzle?

PRINCE (SINGER)

Post by dougmorrisontheair on Oct 16, 2017 21:56:52 GMT -5
(audience cheers) For the game -- and the match -- is it -- Prince? (dings; SCSD win theme plays; audience cheers) Yes! Wow -- winner and still champion -- Antonio Gray. "Purple Rain", of course, the title of Prince's hit album, hit song and hit movie. Folks, please reveal the clues that, obviously, Antonio didn't need. (FF reveal sfx)Minnesotan -- absolutely -- he was a native of Minnesota. He was a great rock star. And we miss him dearly. (respectful applause from audience) (Shelly places dice near Matt's buzzer) Matt, as for you, I'm afraid Antonio won the match fair and square. It only took him one name game and three dice rolls to seal the deal. I tell what we're going to do. We likely have some time to fill. If that remains the case after the second go-round of Lucky 7, we'll let you play one of our audience games for extra cash or a prize. For now, we congratulate you for winning $40,500, Matt Ringgenberg (audience cheers; Matt and Shelly walk toward stage right) Antonio, money roll time. For winning the match, this roll is for tens of thousand of dollars. The sum of your roll will be multiplied by ten grand to determine the top dollar value in Big 6. Now's the time for doubles -- particularly boxcars for $120,000. (scattered woos and cheers) So -- when you're ready -- give 'em a roll. (Antonio rolls)(cha-ching) (more cheers) The 4 and 2 make for a $60,000 game of Big 6. Wally comes into view -- when you come back to the dice table. (theme plays; audience cheers) (theme plays)

Welcome back to On A Roll. Antonio has just won his third straight match. Even though Big Money Week's in the books, he could win more than $300,000 in the next few moments with the help of -- Wally! (audience cheers) Wally, I got a question. We were talking about Prince as Antonio successfully defended his crown. Did you see the movie "Purple Rain"? (FF reveal sfx) Reason I ask -- you don't want to have your new bride, Mollie from Celebrity Gambit, purify herself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka. (audience laughs and applauds) Ya know -- water -- electronics -- all that circuitry. Bad idea all around. But here's a good idea. Wally, may we have the numbers for Big 6, please. (FF reveal sfx) Thanks, Wally. Antonio, as you know, the dice faces accordingly hide the letters that spell out your Big 6 word. Much like the main game, you're going to try to uncover as many letters in the word as you possibly can. Wally, a hint, please. (ding) Action. Now -- Antonio -- you're going to be glad you correctly identified Prince on just "Purple Rain". Starting today, we have a new rule. Anyone who solves a puzzle with just one clue exposed in full is entitled to an extra hint. So, Wally, may we have the extra hint, please? (FF reveal sfx) Love connection. Either we're referencing recent history with Wally and Mollie, we're plugging a show on another network or that's really the extra hint. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Judge clarifies it's the extra hint. Now, much like the main games, Antonio, you get four rolls of the dice. What's different here is if you roll two different numbers, you may only take one of the two numbers you rolled -- and you can never play the sum. Solve the Big 6 word correctly after just one roll, you win $60,000. But if you need a second roll, the value of the Big 6 word drops to $10,000 -- and for each roll thereafter, we cut the potential winnings in half. While you're on a roll in Big 6, anytime you throw doubles or two different numbers you've already played, that counts as a wasted roll and reduces your potential winnings accordingly. (Shelly hands Antonio the dice) You've won big here before. Let's see if you can win $60,000 as you get -- on a roll. (audience cheers) (Antonio rolls)Starting off with a 3 and a 5.

(scattered groans) No guess. Sounds like some in the audience have this action figured out. Please don't shout out answers. Antonio, you're still on a roll. (Antonio rolls)(audience groans) (buzz)Argh! First set of doubles. 'Fraid that's a wasted roll. Value of the word's already down to $2500. Last roll -- make it good. (Antonio rolls)A 3 and a 5. You've already taking the 3. So, Wally, please show us the fifth letter. (ding) It's an N. Antonio, solve this correctly and it's $2500. If not, you still pick up $1000. But let's see if you can figure out this action for $2500.

Post by dougmorrisontheair on Oct 21, 2017 11:45:47 GMT -5
(scattered cheers) For $2500, is this action -- dating? (dings; SCSD win theme plays; audience cheers)Sure is. Nice to know the love birds still date after tying the knot. Antonio, as for you, another $2500 -- and a chance to win more as we bring in Lucky 7. Wally, please set us up. (FF reveal sfx) Thanks, Wally. Antonio, Wally will give you a certain number of chances to roll any sum of 7 on the dice. But before Wally sets the timer, we need to find out what is at stake. All you have to do is pick a letter in the word "lucky". For winning the match, three of those lucky letters hide different amounts of cash of up to $250,000. (audience cheers) The remaining two letters hide these prizes. Tiffany, please share the good news about the goods. (IIR spinner music plays) (director takes one shot of Antonio -- then a zoom-in shot of the big screen in the audience area) Tiffany: You got it, Doug. Antonio, a lucky sum of 7 could be worth -- THIS NEW CAR! (audience cheers) The Porsche 718 Cayman S comes with 2.5L turbo-charged engine, the premium package, automatic transmission, navigation module and much more. This car is worth $84,965. (audience cheers) Or you could win a trip to Dubai. (audience cheers) You and a guest will fly round trip coach to Dubai, United Arab Emirates for a six-night stay at a fantastic hotel located near the IMG World of Adventure -- the largest indoor theme park in the world. We're also giving you and your guest six days' worth of admission to the park and an additional $10,000 in spending money -- to make this vacation worth $28,950. (audience cheers) All right, Tiffany. Thank you. Remember, Antonio, the higher the value of the award you're playing for, the lower the setting on the shutdown time. So -- please pick a letter.
