Well, Countdown was an unmitigated disaster. I'm thinking of going back to The Price is Right, half-hour of course. Now, what I'd like to know is, if I did take up the helm of Dennis, Bob, Tom, and Doug..... what should the showcase format be?
- The 1972-86 syndicated rules (where the top two winners each bid on a showcase, if I were to do this, I would include the $250 rule for Double Showcases)? - The 1994 syndicated rules (winner of the Showcase Showdown gets their own showcase and plays against the house)?
I'd really like to hear your feedback. So, I'm leaving this poll open until October 6th at midnight. Thank you.

I voted for the '94 format. I remember that's basically how you did it when you used to host it, and I'm one to follow the "if it ain't broke..." mindset, so there you go.

Right, I borrowed from the Forsyth version (which actually borrows from the Bob Warman version, but with bigger amounts). However, I noticed the dreadfully low win ratio of the Showcases, which is why I started this poll. If the members are OK with that, then great. Otherwise, I could easily adapt to the James/Barker/Kennedy format.
