(audience groans)Doug: I take it you're not familiar with The Unknown Comic. There's a reason he prefers to be unknown -- because he's wears something to help keep his identity unknown. Jonathan, show us what he should've said. Jonathan: I wanted to say cards but I said... (buzz)Doug: There it was. He wears a paper bag over his head. Game goes to Steven. (dings; audience applause; win music plays; MG-HSH theme plays)Doug: At the risk of adding insult to injury, what did the rest of you have? Doug: Yup, "bag" would've triggered the tie-break. Steven, please join me here. Raymond, no money here -- but lots of lovely parting gifts and our thanks for playing Match Game. Nice hand for Raymond. (audience cheers; MG desks and toaster roll off toward stage left; rest of grid comes in) Doug: Steven, perfect score just got better. You won an extra $500 for winning Match Game. Now you'll play Hollywood Squares, Tony and I trade places, we welcome three more stars and we'll have loads more fun. Stay right there.

Blockbusters is a re-do, originally hosted by two other Bills, Cullen and Rafferty. You and Kevin Kolsen of our panel I know hosted it and I did also one other time.
It's on the new NBC-2 Network, which is a sister network of NBC the "mothership", and it's an hour long experiment that me and the production team are trying out, featuring new bonuses but it's still the same classic Q&A game involving initials.

That's part of the goal for this new upstart network too, in addition to new programming, to show reruns of old NBC shows, such as "Santa Barbara" for example.
Trying to give an alternate NBC channel for folks who don't want to watch 12 hours of the Today Show.

Good luck to you, Patseen. The object of the game of course is simply win tic tac toe-- Three squares across, up and down, or diagonally... or to acquire the most squares you possibly can. It is up to them to figure out if the answers the stars are giving them are correct or they're just making one up. That's how they get the square. We'll continue playing the game until we hear the time's up bell. Whoever is in the lead at the end of The Hollywood Squares will become our champion and play the Super Match with Doug for a shot at winning up to $100,000. (cheers and applause)Round 1 is worth $1,000 and each captured square (throughout the rounds) is worth $250. Patseen, since you're the champ, you will be going first. If you're ready, please pick a square.
