Mary had a little lamb whose fleece was white as SNOW! Well done Cle'ment for $100! (applause) Keeping the next card you say? Lynn, let's see what it is please... Hmm a 10, that now gives you a total of 12 Cle'ment... Incidentally we'll fix your scoreboard readout shortly, it should say $200. 12 is a nasty number in this game, one more card and you could bust, but if you freeze now, Michael would need only a 13 or better to beat you. Freeze or continue Cle'ment?

Odds of improving my hand with the next card is 70%. Therefore, I'm going on.

Very good, next question players... Your doctor recommends you take some acetylsalicylic acid. Does she want you to take a vitamin or an aspirin? Cle'ment?

That would be an aspirin. And I'm taking the next card.

If this is a 10 or face card, you'll need an aspirin... Lynn, show us the next card please... A six! Nice card... You now have an 18. Freeze or continue Cle'ment?

I'm a little disappointed Cle'ment. I was expecting you to share with us how many cards of the remaining ones would lose for you Just teasing of course. It's very impressive to me how you will take time to calculate the odds of the cards. If they ever bring back "Play the Percentages", you'd do sensational there too I'm sure! Michael, to win the game and the match, you will need to continue to correctly answer questions, earn cards, and get a score of 19, 20 or 21. First question for you Michael, for $100 and the next card... True or False? A picture of the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. is what appears on the back side of a standard U.S. ten dollar bill.

Correct! (applause) It's the United States treasury on the reverse since the first Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton adorns the front of a $10 bill. You just won another 10 of those $10 bills for that right answer Michael, and this card... A King of Clubs worth 10... Speaking of Kings, True or False? In the game of chess, the King is considered the most powerful piece and can move any number of spaces in any given direction during any given turn.

False is correct, it is the Queen who has the most power! So women's lib began long long ago it would seem! Lynn, Michael wants an ace for an instant game and match win. What do you have for him? (audience goes "oooh!") Hmmm, an 8 giving you 18 now Michael... Remember, no ties on Gambit. And since Cle'ment froze on 18 he owns that number. Michael, you need one more correct answer and then an Ace, Deuce or Trey to win the game and match... First things first... In the world of cartoons, the character Babalooey, was he the sidekick of Yogi Bear or Quick Draw McGraw?

Right again for $100! (applause) Now for a match win, he needs an Ace, a 2 or a 3, but nothing higher. Lynn? (buzzer) Too Much! And the game goes to Cle'ment! picosong.com/3zeF/A winning hand of 18 means another $900 for you Cle'ment. Congratulations. And so we have a tie match at one game apiece, which means we'll have to play a rubber game of the match... First, the Any 21 Jackpot continues to grow. Now it is worth $2,250, and if you get 21 in just 2 cards, we double it to $4,500! (applause) What's more, in the Rubber Game of the match, each player is given a 10 to start... So all that's needed is an Ace to get that $4,500 jackpot! Lynn, please deal up an Ace, that would make a very exciting finish here! (moans) Well, for a 4 of Spades players... In the game of Blackjack, the house always has to stand on 17. This is also true in the world of poetry. A limerick or a Haiku? Which one of these consists of exactly 17 words? Michael?

(BTW, I like how you went from a tuxedo to a regular suit & then to a tuxedo again, Bill.)
Technically, it's none of the above. If you were looking for haiku as the correct answer, you probably meant to say 17 *syllables*, not words.
Anyway, I'll pass that card to Clement again.

Yes, that was a misprint on the question card, indeed it was syllables Cle'ment that gives you 14. Do you wish to freeze or continue?

Are we using the same deck since the beginning of the show?

That would be correct Cle'ment, same deck of 52 cards being used.

(looks at the used card board) Anything worth 7 or below would make me improve, anything higher would make me lose. 21 good cards remaining, 15 bad cards, I'm going on.

On we go... This word can mean either a simple song played on a piano with only 2 fingers, or more commonly, this word means utensils that are traditionally used to eat Chinese food. What word are we talking about? Cle'ment?

Chopsticks is indeed right for another $100. Cle'ment, I know you've been calculating the odds all 3 games. You have 14. An 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen or King will end your championship run right here, and Michael will be re-crowned Gambit PM champion. Lynn, this is a very important card for both our contestants. What do you have for Cle'ment? TWENTY-ONE!!!! www.fileswap.com/dl/7IcdqlFbv3/GambitBlackjackCheerApplause.mp3.htmlCasinos beware! We have ourselves a card counter here on Gambit PM! Cle'ment, $1,050 for the 21 as we pay $50 per point, PLUS the Any 21 Jackpot of $2,250, giving you a grand total tonight in cash, $4,600! (applause) Michael, you win $250 as we pay $25 per point for the runner-up. You were not credited earlier for $100 for a question, so we amended your total to reflect this. Tonight $4,550 for you, and a grand total, all in cash.... $17,550 in cash!!! (cheers & applause) Michael, please send my warmest regards to my home state of New Jersey and thank you so very much for giving us some really exciting games and matches here on Gambit PM! Cle'ment, your grand total so far, all in cash, $7,325. picosong.com/cThu/When we return, Cle'ment's going to try to be our first Gambit Board winner! Stay tuned!!!

Cle'ment, it's time once again to head on over to the Gambit Board. Frank? www.fileswap.com/dl/7vgdIMa622/05_-_Contestant_Intro_2.mp3.htmlFRANK (as Kenny) Tonight up on the Gambit Board, any 21 will win the jackpot now valued at Six thousand dollars, plus, with the right combination of numbers, any 21 will win a new car! The refreshingly updated 2015 Lincoln Navigator, comes equipped with a 3.5 liter twin turbo charged EcoBoost engine. Performance above the ordinary. Retail value….SIXTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! $12,000 in bonus cash for a 2 card 21 plus lots of other goodies on the board, cash prizes, our suit cards, the 500 times card, 2 Mystery Money or Pick Again cards, two halves of a domestic trip, plus two halves of a foreign trip all up there along with other nice prizes as well. Upwards of over $100,000 in cash and prizes up on the big board Cle'ment and we want to see you win as many of them as you can tonight! Be careful of that Plus or Minus card though, with that you may make it easier for yourself to win, or more difficult, and there is no picking again if you uncover that card either, no prize associated with that card unfortunately... Now we have a new way to begin our game Cle'ment. Lynn has on her board 4 envelopes marked Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds and Spades. Hidden in one it says 17, in another 16, and in 2 of them it says 15. At this time I will ask you to select an envelope and whatever number you select will be the house's score. In order to win any and all cash & merchandise prizes from the Gambit Board, you must beat that score without going over 21. Which envelope do you want Cle'ment?

(my apology for the delay I was unable to post on here yesterday) Let's see what's in the Clubs envelope Lynn, please. Hoping for 15... (groans) Well that's okay! 17 is very beatable! Cle'ment has just cut the cards (did so earlier when he sent me his "cut code via p.m.) and we're ready to start... Cle'ment, since there are many cards up there that say "Pick Again", please select 3 numbers to begin our game. Every time you uncover a prize card that does NOT require you to pick again, Lynn will deal you a card from the top of that brand new 52 card deck that you just cut. If you get 18 or more, you will be an instant winner. If you are at a point where your score is 12 to 17, I will offer you an option to quit and take $250 per point. But if you win here tonight, you'll get all the cash, prizes plus $250 per point too! Okay, three numbers please Cle'ment and very good luck to you!

And behind the #15 we have... (ding) Oh no! (audience moans) This is a bad news/potential good news deal however Cle'ment. The bad news is, you get NO prize for uncovering this plus or minus 1 box, and you do NOT get another pick off of the Gambit Board this turn. The GOOD news is, if you select correctly, instead of having to beat 17, you will perhaps only have to beat 16 instead. If you select INCORRECTLY however, then you'll have to beat an 18! Hidden under one blank it says PLUS, you do NOT want that. The other says MINUS, and that is the one you want to select. Which do you want, top or bottom Cle'ment?

Top one...

Post by billmcdee on Oct 16, 2014 8:52:39 GMT -5
(walking to the board) And as I flip up the top it says... MINUS! (applause) Now, instead of having to beat a 17, you only have to beat 16! And here is your first card, Cle'ment... If you hope to win any prizes tonight, you'll need at least 2 more cards with which to do so. No chance at the $12,000 Blackjack Jackpot, but still a chance for $6,000. Your next selection was number 12, and that is... (DING) Mystery Money or Pick Again. There can be anywhere from $250 all the way up to $5,000 there Cle'ment. Do you want to take the mystery money, or would you prefer to have us reveal number 9 instead at this time?

And this time we have for you... (moans) Just $388 in cash that time. Next card Lynn... Cle'ment I must say you have a knack of drawing a lot of small cards it seems Number 9 was your next selection and that has... (DING) That's a half domestic trip card, and you get to pick again! Please select 3 more numbers in the order you wish for them to be revealed.
