*back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Gambit. Now that Sam and Matt are all set, I'll explain the rules... The object of the game is get closer to 21 than your opponent without going over. Each correct answer is $100. And the winner who is closer to 21, or have your opponent get busted, wins the round and an additional $500. Let's take a look at the big bucks board on my podium. [CASH REGISTER RINGS]The player who gets a total of 21 with a combination of at least three cards wins the Any 21 Jackpot of $5,500. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]And whoever gets an Ace and either a 10 or face card, will win the Blackjack Bonus of $12,500! [MORE CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Before the break, the guys at Tandem Technologies, a RANDOM.ORG company, have given our dealer Jennifer a deck of 54 ultra sized playing cards that were shuffled, cut, and sealed. Jennifer will now break the seal and begin the first round with the reveal of the first card. Jenn...? Jennifer: Our first card in round 1 is a 10! [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: Whoever answers this hundred dollar question right, may have a chance of keeping that 10. Here comes question number one... Dallas, Dynasty, or Knot's Landing-- The Colby's was a popular nighttime soap which spun off what other soap?*You have 24 hours to PM your buzz-code between 1 and 100.

Let's all hope for an Ace. Jennifer, please reveal Sam's next card. *Jennifer reveals card* Jennifer: It's a Jack. [AUDIENCE GROANS, APPLAUSE]Tony: Sorry, Sam. The Blackjack Bonus will return in our second round. Both players will battle it out for the Any 21 Jackpot of $5,500. Sam... you now have a total of 20. Before I read the next question, you have a decision to make. Do you want to continue the round or freeze?

And Jennifer will place the freeze marker on Sam's 20. And Matt... there are no ties in Gambit. The only way for you to beat Sam is a 21... an Any 21 Jackpot worth $5,500. You must answer each and every question right in order to stay in the round. If you give me an incorrect answer, Sam wins round 1 and an additional $500. Here is your next question... A Night at the Opera, Duck Soup, or Monkey Business-- In what Marx Bros. film does Prime Minister Rufus T. Firefly of Freedonia declare war on Sylvania?

Duck Soup is right for 100. [APPLAUSE, DING]You now have 200 bucks, Matt. Jennifer... please reveal Matt's next card. Jennifer: It's an 8. Tony: You now have a total of 12. All you need is a 9 for $5,500 and a round 1 win. Next question... Bill Haley and his Comets, Buddy Holly and the Crickets, or The Beach Boys-- What 1950's singing group had a hit with "Peggy Sue"?
