Well, the intro to the green room says, “You can talk about anything you want here.” I think this qualifies as my first post here that's completely unrelated to game shows and net games. Well – mostly unrelated. If you've seen my net games lately, you've noticed a few Olivia Newton-John references included therein – from game material to “commercial breaks.” Here's why. First, she was my first woman crush – and I will acknowledge same on Woman Crush Wednesday on Twitter. Friday, she celebrates her 66th birthday – and for the balance of the day, I'm turning my Twitter feed into the 24 Hours of Olivia Newton-John – a round-the-clock twitter-thon of fun facts and more about her. (Thanks to Tweetdeck, the marathon will be mostly automated – meaning I'll be wisely sleeping through this.) Woman Crush Wednesday and Throwback Thursday will serve as a warmup to Friday. The actual marathon starts Friday, September 26th, at 12:01 a.m. Eastern. If you're interested, you can follow the fun at www.twitter.com/dougmorrisgames -- even if you're not on Twitter.

When I was a youth, I thought she was the wife of Elton John.
My favorite song of hers is "Magic" from 1980. A very dear friend of my mother died right at the height of that song's popularity, and although my mother's friend was quite elderly, and the song itself is more a romantic type song, I nevertheless associate those memories with our dear friend's passing. She was very much like a grandmother figure to me.
Since around 1990, with a few notable exceptions, popular music has gone very much downhill to me. I guess I'm showing my age.
As for my first 2 female celebrity crushes, what the heck I'll admit it. One was Marlo Thomas' character of Ann Marie on the sitcom "That Girl". The other was, and remember I was just 4 at the time, the cartoon character Josie from "Josie and the Pussycats".
What's even more amusing, Marlo is a brunette, Josie was a redhead, and I ended up marrying someone who is blonde. Okay now even MY eyelids are getting heavy sharing this stuff so I'm moving on LOL
