So it's 73 for grapebuy789. ding! Now koopakid17, is the actual number higher or lower than 73?

I think it might be even higher than 73. These are families who haven't seen their brave soldiers in years.

And koopakid17 says higher. ding! The actual number of military families who feel that their loved ones have been involved in too many wars is... ding-ding-ding!...98, so it is higher, and koopakid17 will play his cards first. So let's see the first card in his row, Amber. (6 ♠) Ooh, a 6. Would you like to play the card right now or change it?

Change!
Post by Bill Skinner on May 4, 2017 22:12:40 GMT -5
And the 6 will become...
(A ♥)
...an Ace! I think I know what you're going to say on it, but is the next card higher or lower?

Lower!
Post by Bill Skinner on May 4, 2017 22:28:47 GMT -5
I knew you'd say that! So now we're thinking no aces with this one. Is it lower than an Ace?
(J ♥)
ding!
Yes, that's a Jack, and would you like to continue or freeze?

Post by koopakid17 on May 4, 2017 22:51:26 GMT -5
Lower again!

Post by Bill Skinner on May 4, 2017 22:55:47 GMT -5
Lower than a Jack?
(A ♠)
buzz!
Oh no! You were doing so well, but now it's grapebuy789's turn to play, and once again, the base card cannot be changed. Hey Tiffany, what does he have to play now?
(2 ♥)
Aha, a 2! Are you going to go higher or lower on that?
Forget that, just say higher!

I cannot lose with the 2. Higher!

Post by Bill Skinner on May 5, 2017 9:31:51 GMT -5
Higher than 2?
(6 ♠)
ding!
Of course! Now are you going to continue or freeze?

I'll try lower.
Post by Bill Skinner on May 5, 2017 22:52:48 GMT -5
Lower than a 6?
(5 ♠)
ding!
And now you're two cards away from tying this up, and so, what is your decision?
Post by grapebuy789 on May 6, 2017 8:29:11 GMT -5
Higher.
Post by Bill Skinner on May 6, 2017 21:28:47 GMT -5
Higher than a 5?
(Q ♣)
ding!
One more correct guess, and you will tie this game up and force a tiebreaker. So what are you going to do?
Post by grapebuy789 on May 6, 2017 22:52:47 GMT -5
Lower!
Post by Bill Skinner on May 6, 2017 23:02:33 GMT -5
If it's lower than a Queen, you will force a tiebreaker; otherwise, we go into a new question. Is it lower? (9 ⋄)ding-ding-ding!(1978 CS Win Cue) You win the second round, and when we come back, we will play the tiebreaker round that will determine who will go on to play Money Cards. So stay tuned; we'll be back after this. (1978 CS Theme)

Welcome back to Card Sharks, where we're going to play a tiebreaker round. Each of you will now have three cards to guess, and there are three questions in this round. In case neither one of you clears your cards after the first two questions, the last one will be played as a sudden-death question, which means that one mistake will end the game. Also, in the sudden-death situation, whoever gains control of the cards will have the option to play or pass, and if you decide to pass, the other player must play his own cards right away. Now that we got all that out of the way, let's start with our first question of the tiebreaker round. koopakid17, you will get to answer the first tiebreaker question, which we previously asked 100 men: "Have you ever gotten your nails done at a beauty salon?"How many of these men said yes?

I'm sure a few of them have, not that they'd want to admit it. 10 out of 100.

Post by Bill Skinner on May 7, 2017 23:05:48 GMT -5
So it's 10 for koopakid17. ding!grapebuy789, is the actual number higher or lower than 10?
Post by grapebuy789 on May 8, 2017 6:43:13 GMT -5
Now I don't know too many men who would get their nails done at a beauty salon. But my gut is saying it is higher than 10. So I'm going to say it's higher.
Post by Bill Skinner on May 8, 2017 9:26:34 GMT -5
And grapebuy789 thinks it's higher. ding! The actual number of men who said that they've gotten their nails done at a beauty salon is... ding-ding-ding!...19, so it is higher, and grapebuy789 gets first crack at the cards. Now here's your base card. (K ⋄)Would you like to play that King or change it?
Post by grapebuy789 on May 8, 2017 15:44:50 GMT -5
I'll play the card and say it is lower.

Lower than a King?
(A ♥)
buzz!
No, that's not it, and so koopakid17 could keep his championship, depending on how well he does with the cards. What's his base, Amber?
(8 ♥)
An 8! Now you have to play it, so is the next card higher or lower than 8?
Post by koopakid17 on May 9, 2017 11:26:07 GMT -5
Higher!
Post by Bill Skinner on May 9, 2017 11:28:27 GMT -5
Higher than an 8, please?
(9 ♣)
ding!
Yes, and now you're one card away from returning to the Money Cards round. So would you like to continue or freeze?

Freeze!
Post by Bill Skinner on May 10, 2017 22:44:50 GMT -5
Alright, we will freeze at the 9, and get into the second question. This time, grapebuy789 will answer, and we asked 100 radio disc jockeys: "Do you get tired of playing the same songs on the air every day?"How many of them said yes?
Post by grapebuy789 on May 11, 2017 8:38:16 GMT -5
If I was a radio DJ and I played a song repeatedly, I'd get tired of it. But it would depend on the song. Going off that logic, I will say 45.
