Now that I'm done with the Feud, I've decided to pursue another show that I've never experienced hosting before. It's like The Hollywood Squares with a twist. That's right... it's Battlestars. I'm looking for two players and six panelists. If you would like to participate, please tell us which position you want and be on standby.

I'm from Marlton, New Jersey & I'm currently unemployed. I'm a big fan of game shows. In fact, I love them so much that you can see me as a contestant on about 50,000 game shows currently on the air.

Good luck to you, Matt. Before we get to the game, we'll go to a short commercial. When our show continues, we'll be playing the game and see if one of these stars gets captured. Stick around... we'll begin our very first game of Battlestars following these important announcements. [ VAMP THEME ][ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ]*fade to commercial*

============================================================================================================== *back to studio* [ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ]Welcome back to Battlestars. Now that both players are set, please allow me to explain the rules. The object in this game is to "capture" members of a six-celebrity panel. To do this players had to light up numbers positioned around triangle shapes, inside of which sat the panelists. The numbers 1–10 were positioned around the triangles so that each edge was attached to a number (1-4-5, 2-5-6, 3-6-7, 4-5-8, 5-6-9, and 6-7-10). The numbers were referred to as "Points of Light" throughout the game. The numbered lights will flashing one at a time in tandem... and all you have to do is hit the plunger and see where it lands on, and the number it stopped on determined which celebrity would be asked a question. If a number was attached to two or more triangles, the contestant chose which celebrity to play. If the number was attached to a celebrity who would be captured if it was lit, the contestant was forced to chose that celebrity unless there were more than one celebrity that could be captured by lighting the number. it's up to you if the star is telling you the truth or using a bluff. A correct response allowed that player to keep control. If the contestant was wrong, control passed to the opponent. Whoever captures 3 battlestars wins the game and $1,000 and the right to play the Battlestars II bonus round for $25,000. [ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ]Do any of you guys have any further questions?

Alrighty then... Before the start of our premiere, we drew straws to see who goes first. Michael have won the event and gets to sit in the blue seat. The Points of Light are now in tandem motion. Whenever you're ready, hit the plunger and see what number you're gonna start with... [ STOPS PLUNGER ]The Points of Light stop at number 9... and you've selected Bill McDee! Host of "Gambit P.M." [ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ]Bill-- In what Edgar Allan Poe story does an old man's oddly clouded eye lead to murder?

You're right to agree... it was "The Tell Tale Heart". [ APPLAUSE ]You still have control of the board, Michael. Whenever you're ready, stop the randomizer. [ PRESSES PLUNGER ]Number 3... Greg Palmer-- host of $ale of the Century here on NBC. [ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ]Greg... What was the hottest part of "Concorde" in flight after the engines?

It was the stereo, man. "Party rock is in the house tonight...." (audience laughs)
Seriously, the hottest part after the engines was the cabin, because you're so close to a jet engine back there.
