As it says on the tin, but based more on European incarnations, particularly the Italian version, Affair Tuoi. The general format is high on the same, however there are 20 boxes, and to make it similar to said country's version, there will be 4-5 contestants in the pool for selection. The monies will be roughly as below, with some lower amounts occasionally being replaced by gag prizes: $0.01 $1.00 $5.00 $10 JOKER $100 $250 $500 $1000 BANKER'S TWIST
$2,500 $5,000 $10,000 $20,000 ?MYSTERY? $50,000 $75,000 $100,000 $250,000 $500,000
The Joker is self explanatory and has no real value ($1000 if in the contestant's box), though if found in the first three selections, is worth a $5,000 bonus.
The ?Mystery? envelope is selected from 10 before the game, and is worth anything from a dime to $50,000.
The Bankers Twist is a rather game changing feature, as one of the following can happen: The top remaining amount may be doubled or halved in value, so a $1 million box is possible. A box number is given by the Banker that leads to a box containing a low amount of money A player could be given the chance to swap with another player, which may be refused, but could be of use if the game if going badly. A bonus price could be won.
The Banker's Twist is worth a flat $1,000 if in a contestant's box.
If a game is going REALLY badly, the Reversal of Fortune can be enforced, where the aim is then to find all remaining amounts on the right hand side of the board. If successful, this pays out $10,000 per remaining blue amount. Failure results in winning nothing, and this can only be enacted if there are at least 5 boxes remaining.
With all that out of the way, who's game?

(Currently no, only had the 1 contestant bio and some of your fellow OTS contestants are none too reliable, not ruling it out in the future however. We'll kick this off in the next couple of days.)

It's been 4 years since the Banker last made an offer, and that's about to change. We've got 20 boxes, the top dollar is still $500,000, and the question is unchanged: Deal or No Deal?
Welcome to a new series of Deal or No Deal! I'm Sam Hodkin and behind me we have a studio full of box-possessing contestants eager to make money, but first, we need to see who'll be joining me over at the desk. Computer, please.
[Computer screen flashes names at random before deciding]
11: MARK
Mark Liotta, come and join me!

Great stuff, bit of a gamer myself. Now, you've got Box 11 in front of you. You can keep that if you so wish, or swap it with any other box, the choice is yours my friend.

Well with any luck, it's a money-making decision, let's load the amounts onto the board. Just to ensure we remain legal, I'm obliged to say that the cash has been randomly placed in the boxes by an independent adjudicator from S&P, and only they know what money is where. I don't know, and the Banker definitely doesn't. Before the Banker can make an offer, you need to open no less than 5 boxes, so make your first choice at your leisure.

Alright, let's open Box #6
BANKER'S TWIST
Right off the bat, you encounter the Banker's Twist, and this could change the whole dynamic of the game. In front of you theres 5 cylinders containing scrolls. One of them will double that $500,000 to a sweet million, one of them will take that half million and halve it. One scroll will mean that the Banker will reveal a blue amount, while another will forcibly swap you from the game with one of the other contestants in the wings, however, it does mean you'll return another day. As for the 5th scroll, it's a dead weight in that nothing of the game changes. If you please, pick any of the 5 scrolls.

Let's try scroll number 2

Now we want this to be a decent outcome so early in the game, here we go with scroll #2 [Opening the scroll to reveal] [Audience Groans] Ouch, not what we wanted to see, so as a result, the $500,000 up there becomes a second $250,000, BUT, it's early days so it does increase your chance of big money in effect. 4 more to pick, so if you'll pick another box we can carry on.

Post by hodders on Oct 3, 2014 8:06:57 GMT -5
Alright, a small red or a blue and things will look brighter.. $250,000[Audience groans once more]
Not what we wanted to see, might sway the Banker with his first offer..
Hello?.. Right.
[Hangs Up]
He's not one for hanging around, so he's offering you the chance to switch your box with another still in play.
Buildup Music
So Mark, Box Switch, Deal or No Deal?
