40 on the Blue... (flip) (moaning in the audience) And a Tuba. Well Kevin, you have uncovered one of each. The next box you select must match one, unless you hit that "NO MATCH" box... Still trying for $375 and of course a possible $250 bonus if you get the Bonus Match. Which box next Kevin?

A very nice pirate imitation by the way Kevin. 30 on the Yellow... (flip) There's another violin. Might be one more in that 20 column. Still have 2 chances left Kevin. Where to now?

I hope it is too... 20 on the Red... (flip) Well you have 2 Tubas and 2 violins up there. One of 2 ways to play it Kevin, trying for $250 and a possible $250 bonus as well... Last pick Kevin, make it a winner

Looking for that last violin... (groans) And that's rare bad luck Kevin, and rarer still that the "NO MATCH" card wasn't even part of the mix. But as the saying goes, there's no where to go but up from here So a quick recap shows Jon, our 3 time champion in the lead with $750 and that car key, which means if he wins today, he will once again play the Bonus Bucks game for the car and a $30,000 jackpot, possibly $60,000! Cle'ment nipping at Jon's heels with $625, and Kevin has yet to score. We'll take a quick time out, and when we return, these three will be using intuition to try to gain control of our question board, and come up with correct answers to win money and earn trips to the board. Back in just a moment! (applause)

(applause) The time has come to play Round One everybody. First, let me call your attention to the category board above me. Top, Middle and Bottom. Each conceals a different category. In a moment, one of you will earn the right to select one of those and I will ask you a question in that category. If you come up with a correct answer, you will win either $125, or $250 or the Jackpot. The Jackpot question is determined at random and can be anywhere from $500 all the way up to $750. And the Jackpot question this round is worth... The big one, $750! A correct answer more importantly gives you the right to go to the big colorful matching board to earn even more cash, as much as $1,000 per match in these next 2 rounds. As much as $750 for an instant match, meaning in just 3 picks, plus a $250 bonus if you find the item that is the bonus match. To determine who gets to select Top, Middle or Bottom, our players will lock in a numeric code at this time. Those codes range from 01 up to 99. Once those are locked in we will reveal them. Then we will reveal the category board code number. The player who is closest to that number, high or low, will get first choice of categories. Players, lock in your codes please...now.Let's see what they have chosen. John 34, Cle'ment 85 and Kevin at 55. And the category code is... 39, therefore Jon, you get first selection. Top, Middle or Bottom?

BOTTOM

The bottom category is "CHEMISTRY", and here is your question Jon.
NaCl is a common item found in most every American household. For some money and a trip back to the matching board, what is the more common household term for NaCl?

Table salt.

Absolutely right! (applause) And let's see what was under the "Bottom"... (cheers & applause) Wow! I mean to tell you Jon, between your codes and everything else today, you're on a Winning Streak! A very subtle joke there, as "Winning Streak" was the game show that originally replaced "Three on a Match" some 40 years ago here on NBC! So already an instant match during the free play round, the maximum jackpot question, $1,500, and another trip to the board. About the only thing you did wrong so far Jon was not find the bonus match item during your first trip to the board. Perhaps you will this time and pick up a $250 bonus... 7 chances to uncover three matching items. Please select your first 2 boxes Jon.

20 on the Yellow... (flip) Hats this time... 30 on the Red... (flip) One cowboy hat and one sailor cap thus far... Now trying for $625 and a possible $250 bonus as well. Where to next Jon?

Here comes 30 on the Green... (flip) Now you have something to perhaps work with, a pair of Cowboy hats. If there is another one in the 40 column, and you find it on this next pick, you'll score $500 Jon. Which box next?

40 on the Red he said... (flip) Now you have 2 possible ways to play this Jon... Still trying for $375 and a possible $250 bonus. Two quick reminders, 1, the 30 column is closed, not that you'd want to pick that last box anyway, and also be careful as the "NO MATCH" card is still lurking about. With all that said, where to next champ?

Seems Photobucket has decided to go sour on me. I'm putting up a test picture here... Hmm, photobucket is no longer working for me... I simply get a "Look who's popular" message asking me to upgrade. Until I figure out what's going on, or get a new (and hopefully better and easier) photo service, I'll be putting my games on temporary hold. Deepest apologies, Bill

I created a new account folks. Jon, here's what the board looks like: 2 sailor hats, 2 cowboy hats, 1 top hat and 2 picks remaining Jon. Where to next?

Going for that last Sailor hat with 20 on the Green... (flip) (audience moans) That my friends is our new mascot "Matchy", and as you can see, he has the "NO" going through him, which has him feeling like a hot head. That's our new "No Match" card I'm afraid. Well Jon, 1 pick left. If you try for a Sailor cap in the 20 column, you might have a 50/50 chance since the no match card had to replace one of the pictures, and we don't know if it replaced the sailor cap or not. On the other hand, if you try for the cowboy hat in the 40 column, we know it's there some place, but that's a 1 out of 3 chance for certain. Interesting dilemma, which way do you want to play it Jon?

40 on the Yellow... (flip) (groans) Well Jon, it seems our new mascot "Matchy" kind of messed things up for you there, however still a lot of game to play... You're still at $1,500, Cle'ment at $625 and Kevin nothing yet. New category round, Round Two this time, the Jackpot this time is... $700 and let's see who gets to choose the category this time... And wouldn't you know it's right back to you again Jon! Top, Middle or Bottom?
