(At The Sunset Bronson Studios, Stacey, Burton, and I pull up and walk to our soundstage, only to find a note on the door.) Greg: Looks like somebody left a note. (I take the note off the door) "This studio is being reserved for Netflix. We are under renovation." Oh no! Now, where are we supposed to go? Stacey: They can't do that to us. (I continue reading the note) Greg: "P.S. Oh yes, we can." (I pull another note) This has Grundy's letterhead on it. (I read it) "Dear $ale Cast and Crew, we have relocated your new 6K HD set to Fox Studios. Not Fox Television Center." OK. Let's go! (the three of us hop back in the car and drive off, as the 20th Century Fox fanfare plays, the screen is split between us pulling in at the Fox Studios parking garage (seen below), and the 6K HD set being constructed at Stage 5.)(drumroll)(shot of Steven) Burton Richardson: (VO) So far, Steven Anderson has won cash and prizes totaling..... $65,000![OPENING THEME]
Tonight, one of our contestants could win an ash-walnut bicycle, a tantalum pen with 18-karat gold nib, or a European holiday!
And continue a journey towards a fortune in cash and prizes including this pair of Alfa Romeo 4C Coupes......
And thousands of dollars in cash! In total, over.....
--on.....
(echo) And now, here's the star of our show, GREG PALMER!(wild cheers and applause as the doors open and I run to my lectern)Greg: Thank you, Burton. Thank you very much. And thank you all. (more applause) All right, that's enough. The electric cushions all work, you may be seated. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, this is the $ale. And we're coming to you from Stage 5 at the beautiful 20th Century Fox Studios in Century City. And will you look at this studio? (the camera gets a wide shot of the new 4K HD set, cheers and applause) It's all beautiful and gold and everything. And not only that, folks.... not only that, it's in 6K high-definition! That means on any TV, it'll look fantastic! (back to me) Now, on our last show, we crowned a brand-new champion who already has a Buick Cascada convertible and a lot of cash. Let's welcome back a fine champion, Steven Anderson! (audience cheers as we get a shot of Steven) Hiya, Steven. So, how do you like our new home? How do you like L.A.?

The crew is fabulous here. Cant believe it only took them the weekend to get everything ready. LA has been great so far. Had a chance to check out some of the landmarks I hadn't got to my last time out in CA

Well, it took them longer than that. It actually took them about a week, and then they had to move it over here to Fox and make it bigger. Of course, that's neither here nor there. Now, we've got a bit of bad news for you. Normally, we'd have a prize from last week sitting in your bank this week. That was the Netflix package which you passed on. Well, Big Money Week was a special week, so we had to switch that prize out. Now, you have a wooden bicycle worth over $5,000 waiting for you should you win the Lot, and tonight, you're playing for a tantalum pen worth over $10,000. Are you ready to go?

Here to introduce the challengers is Stacey Wren! (Stacey walks out from behind the Fame Game board to cheers and applause) Hiya, Stace. So, how do you like our new set? Stacey: This is amazing! And you said this was in 6-K?Greg: That I did. 6-K. Stacey: Oh my God, I think I'll have to spend twice as much time in makeup.Greg: Me too. Who are our challengers tonight? (As Stacey introduces the contestants, models of the opposite gender escort them to their seats)Stacey: Well, first we have an Auburn fan from Eastern Lower Alabama, James Greek. (cheers and applause) And second, he's a full-time college student studying early childhood education. From Holbrook, Massachusetts, here's Frank Sartori. (audience cheers) Greg: All right. Let's meet tonight's players. Hiya, Frank. Please tell us a bit more about yourself.

Well, I am 22 years old from the great state of Massachusetts. I am a full-time college student studying early childhood education. In my spare time, I love shopping at retro video game stores and video chatting with friends.

Retro video game stores, huh? Are you talking about Gamestop? They accept a lot of old systems as well.

I do shop for some retro game on their website from time to time. But there is one place in my area that I love to go to. Friendly owner. Reasonable prices. Great games.

OK, that's good to know. Obviously, you don't want to plug that one place. Good luck to you tonight.
Next, we have James Greek. An Auburn fan. I see they didn't make it to the Big Dance this year, which is being covered on another network. Which do you like more, Auburn basketball or Auburn football?

Well thank you. Who designed this set? (inaudible chatter) Andy Walmsley and a few people from the Aussie version. Excellent. Anything else you'd like to tell us, James?

Oh, I'm not intimidated. If memory serves me right... you lost. (audience "ooooohs") Stacey: Sounds like somebody got burned, and rightfully so. $20 to start.(the board initializes) Frank: $20 James: $20 Steven: $20
Stacey: And I'll see you in the Gift Shop. (Stacey exits) Greg: Thanks, Stacey. And our first set of questions is coming up. I would have a bottle of champagne to christen this set, but that would waste the champagne and someone would need to sweep up the glass. Good luck, all. Round 1, here we go. 1. What two punctuation marks need to be combined to form an "interrobang"? 2. Which continent is the home of the tsetse fly? 3. Ski jumper Vinko Bogataj is often associated with what sports program? 4. Karakul, Dorset, Urial, and Jacob are types of what animal? 5. On what classic TV show would you find Fred Grandy as "Your Ship's Purser"?(buzzcodes and answers, please)

1. What two punctuation marks need to be combined to form an "interrobang"? (buzzcode: 57) *Frank buzzes in (67)*Frank? Frank: The question mark and exclamation point. That's right, and the challenger draws first blood. (ding) Frank: $25 James: $20 Steven: $20
2. Which continent is the home of the tsetse fly? (buzzcode: 66) *James buzzes in (68)*James? James: AfricaCorrect, and James goes to $25. (ding) Frank: $25 James: $25 Steven: $20
3. Ski jumper Vinko Bogataj is often associated with what sports program? (buzzcode: 24) *James buzzes in (70)*James? James: Wide World of SportsThat's correct, and the agony of defeat. You go to $30. (ding) Frank: $25 James: $30 Steven: $20
4. Karakul, Dorset, Urial, and Jacob are types of what animal? (buzzcode: 51) *James buzzes in (56)*James? James: SheepRight you are, up to $35. (ding) Frank: $25 James: $35 Steven: $20
5. On what classic TV show would you find Fred Grandy as "Your Ship's Purser"? (buzzcode: 61) *James buzzes in (77)*James? James: *Ernie Anderson voice* The looove boatAnd most people just call him "Gopher". You're right, and move to $40. (ding) Frank: $25 James: $40 Steven: $20
[INSTANT BARGAIN]Instant Bargain time, the player in the lead can buy bargain merchandise. James, that's you, you've got a $15 lead and $40 to spend. Now, we've got an item that we had last week, and we didn't sell it. The producers think we should be more topical, and so.... here it is. More topical. (in a 1740s French tavern, a special guest star appearing as Gaston lifts a glass and his own ego while Kelly, Shannon, Katy, and others do the same)Stacey: James, now you can use antlers in all of your decorating, just like our..... friend, Gaston with this chandelier. Designed by Ralph Lauren, this handcrafted chandelier made of mule-deer antlers and crystal uses eight 25-watt bulbs, and will make a lovely addition to any home's decor. Furnished by Neiman Marcus. And this prize is normally worth.... $10,750But tonight on $ale of the Century, it's yours for only....$5(audience cheers as I join them) Greg: And look who we have with us! It's Luke Evans, ladies and gentlemen, fresh from Beauty and the Beast! (audience cheers) So, Luke, you went from driving around fast cars to endlessly hitting on and getting spurned by Hermione Granger. What do you have to say for yourself? Luke: I like it. It's fun to play a character who does all the things you'd never dare to do in real life. It's liberating - you can't feel self-conscious about playing somebody like Gaston, you just have to go with it.Greg: Right. Beauty and the Beast is currently in theaters. So, what's next for you, Luke? Luke: Well, I get to move from this role into that of William Moulton Marston, the man who created Wonder Woman. I'm finished with that, and who knows when North America will get that.Greg: We'll be looking forward to it. Luke Evans, everyone. (audience cheers, I turn to James) James..... what do you think about this? It's a $10,000 chandelier. (Luke poses and flexes whatever muscles he has) Gaston approves, and you can surely afford it. What think ye?

Look, we gotta get rid of it. I'll throw in two-grand, and you'd still have a $10 lead. Going once.... going twice.....

And he's going to buy! (audience cheers)
Frank: $25 James: $35 Steven: $20
Enjoy the money, enjoy the chandelier, all that is yours. Finally, we got rid of it. Thanks again, Luke. Luke Evans! (audience cheers, I walk back to my lectern)
Finally, we got rid of it. We got rid of the soup tureen, and we got rid of the chandelier. Ugh. Back to the questions.
1. What six-letter word, starting with "P", emits electromagnetic radiation? 2. How many times are Mexican refried beans fried? 3. The Stanley Cup is played for in what sport?

1. What six-letter word, starting with "P", emits electromagnetic radiation? (buzzcode: 30) *Steven buzzes in (11)*Steven? Steven: PlasmaJudges? (the lectern shows a green checkmark) We were going for pulsar, but you're right as well. You go to $25. (ding) Frank: $25 James: $35 Steven: $25
2. How many times are Mexican refried beans fried? (buzzcode: 37) *James buzzes in (2)*James? James: two(wrong)Oh no, once. The name is a direct calque of Spanish frijoles refritos, refritos meaning "well-fried", and not "fried again" as might be assumed. Audience: (more or less in unison) And who says this show isn't educational?Greg: Very good, audience. You drop back down to $30, sorry about that. Frank: $25 James: $30 Steven: $25
3. The Stanley Cup is played for in what sport? (buzzcode: 99) *James buzzes in (78)*James? James: HockeyThat's right, and you go back to $35. (ding) Frank: $25 James: $35 Steven: $25
(cheers and applause) [FAME GAME]Fame Game time. We're adding a $10 Money Card to the board. Buzz in when you know this famous fictional character. I am the title character of a comic strip created in 1973. My story's set in a port town called Westfinster. I'm the big boss in my neighborhood, or at least I'm acting like one. I'm considered the toughest cat in town. I'm much smarter than most of the dogs and cats in the neighborhood and I realize it as well, so sometimes, I take advantage of it, by stealing some of their food, or simply just teasing them. I live with the Nutmeg family, but I'm certainly not their family pet. Grandpa Nutmeg sometimes blames me for crimes I haven't committed. It's a good thing I've got Grandma and Iggy in my back pocket. On TV, people have tried to pair me up with a vampire dog and his cronies, and then with Marmaduke. My most successful run was with a group of cats who lived in a junkyard. That lasted 86 episodes between 1984 and 1986. During that series, I had to share pet care tips before the credits. Can you believe that?(buzzcode and answer, please)
