They're going on.
Hiya, Kourtney. You were the captain last game, but we didn't get a chance to talk to you. I understand you didn't get your driver's' license until you were 25. What convinced you to finally get behind the wheel, if anything?

Well, my uncle was about to give me his truck and I wanted to finally have independence for when and where I wanted to go. So after two tries at the drivers exam, I finally got my license and a month later my truck which I still drive today.

Oh, a truck. Hmm, what kind is it, what's the make and model? Do you like it?

It's a 1997 Ford Explorer Sport. It's great for hauling things around and able to get to point A to Z. Would like a newer model though.

Well, with the money we're offering, you can probably get a lot more than that. Let's get to it. Here's your $375,000 question, good luck. (the lights focus on Kourtney as the think cue starts)(the question is revealed)Kourtney, what brand of automobile did Elwood trade for a microphone in the movie The Blues Brothers? [$375,000] [What automobile did Elwood trade for a microphone in the movie The Blues Brothers?] [][] [][] [] (the answers are revealed)A Buick, a Cadillac, a Porsche, a Lincoln, or a BMW? I feel embarrassed to say that I have only seen parts of The Blues Brothers and this seen I don't remember. I know it's not BMW or Porsche. I remember they focused more on American Makes. I wouldn't think Buick either. However, I am torn between the other two. I am going. To follow my gut and say Cadillac.

Let's see if you're right. For $375,000....... was it a Cadillac? Hiya, Doug. You said that, by marriage, one of your cousins is a CNN anchor. Which one and how?

Yes, Christi Paul was a cousin of my late wife, Cindy. Cindy also got to know Robin Meade in *their* college days in Ohio.

(I look Christi Paul up on my phone) Ah, yes, she's an anchor on what used to be Headline News. You know, I used to watch that all the time as a kid. Ever been to the CNN Center to drop in on her?

Neither have I. Well, that's one thing we have in common. Good luck to you, and here's your $500,000 question. (the spotlights focus on Doug, intense think cue starts up, check out those camera angles)\ (the question is revealed)Doug, the folklore characters known as "oni" originated in which country? I've been to a few anime conventions in recent years. They were, and still are, celebrations of Japanese-produced animation projects. So -- I'm going with Japan.

And what say ye, captain?

Sounded Japanese to me, and Doug's logic solidified that thought. I accept.

(silence, shots of Doug and Jon) (right) [$500,000] [The folklore characters known as "oni" originated in which country?] [South Korea][Japan] [China][Thailand] [North Korea]
Yes! (cheers and applause) (the lights return to normal, main theme)[five-shot of the team] You have $500,000. Now, this is where the game changes. Before, you were working individually. Now, you'll work as a team. Each question will have four correct answers, and you must get all four in order to win. Now, you'll have your team to help you. What I want to know is, will you take the $500,000 and leave, or will you play on? To help you with that decision, here's the category for the million-dollar question: AT THE BOX OFFICE. (audience shouts suggestions) Now, will you take the money, or do you feel the need for Greed? (Sam, Doug, Steven, and Kourtney, you may give your opinion to your captain; but his word is final)

Well, it's a lot of money at stake... I might know a bit about Box Office but depends on the question... but the decision to Play or Stop is up to you. Anyone else got something to say about this?

They're going for it! (audience cheers) (the lights flash as the Terminator cue starts up)Well, not right away. That's Fox's little contribution to the format, The Terminator. Somebody could be going for blood, right after the break. (cheers and applause)
(fade in) (cheers and applause) Greg: We're back on Greed: The Series. Before the break, Jon committed his team to the $1,000,000 question. Then, this happened. (the lights flash as the Terminator cue starts up)That's Fox's little contribution to the format, the Terminator. In a moment, one of you five is going to be chosen, and you'll have a chance to take somebody's share of the pot by challenging them to a one-question showdown. Winner stays on, loser is terminated. Or, you can leave the team as is. All right? Everybody ready? Let's unleash the Terminator! (I slam down on the button) (the lights start flashing, five-shot of the players)(ominous chord as it stops at....) Jon! [TERMINATOR CUE]The Terminator has chosen you. Now, you have a choice. You can either challenge someone on the team for their share of the pot, possibly risking your leadership position, or you can keep the team the way it is. However, to make things interesting.... (I hold up a stack of money) I'll give you $25,000 guaranteed if you challenge someone. So, will you leave the team as is, or will you take Fox's free money and challenge someone?
