Should I stay or should I go?

Dear friends of Net Game Central,


It's been brought to my attention by one of you that the majority of you want my head served on a silver platter after I had David Ruprecht, Ernie G. Anderson, and BuzzerBlog. I have always thought of myself as a straightforward, honest, and benevolent moderator and likeable person. I don't cause any trouble on the forum, and I'd like to think I'm on amiable terms with you all. However, if you no longer want me here, then I'll have to do the honorable thing and leave. That's why I'm opening this poll which will be open for a week. 


If you vote for me to stay, I'd appreciate it. If you vote for me to go, I won't hold it against you. I will be voting to stay, of course, because I want to stay. 


Also, if I have committed any other wrongs against the forum which I am not aware of, I'd like to know what those are and what I can do to repent of those.

Without even asking about what went on with the people you mentioned and Buzzerblog, I personally am not wanting your head on a silver platter, or any other platter for that matter.

The powers that be on this website have made you one of the moderators.  That to me suggests that they realize you are both capable and responsible.

We all make mistakes at times.  We all perhaps wish we could re-phrase things at times.  It's even more difficult on a forum such as this because at times it is difficult to interpret the kind of "tone" one might be using toward someone else.

And perhaps others may say I'm being mistaken, or will be critical of my ignorance with respect to what you said regarding David Ruprecht and buzzerblog, etc., but I vote for you to stay.

To use a game show analogy, you are to NetGameCentral (and also when we were at BigJon's) as Henry Morgan was to panel shows of the 1950s and 60s.

Without your presence here and your own unique blend of banter and personality, the stew that is the family NetGameCentral would end up tasting a lot more bland.

I have to say that not only are you an excellent net game host, but also a great moderator as well. It would be a sad day in the world of net games if you were to leave this forum. Even though I only played in one of your games (Yahtzee), I have to say, that you really made what was not so good format in execution into an exciting game that would be picked up for revival in a heart beat. Thus in my opinion, don't leave.

Second, no matter what happened, I would have no reason to stay here anymore if the super-awesome person named Mr. Greg is not in this forum. You are one of the best hosts here and a great administrator. As with other fellow players/friends here, I would like to see a 100th episode of $ale soon so please, don't leave. We love you, Greg.

It is gratifying to see so many of us here on these boards voting and with one lone exception, that all votes are "Yay" to stay.
