I think it hits hard for a lot of people. I'll say higher.

And it's higher for koopakid17. ding! The actual number of people who get depressed without a date on Valentine's Day is... ding-ding-ding!...63, so it is higher, and koopakid17 will play his cards first. First of all, what's the new base card, Tiffany? (4 ♥)It's a 4! Would you like to play that card o change it?

Yes, it's a 10! Are you going to continue or freeze?

Lower than a 10?
(J ♥)
buzz!
Oh no! You lose all your cards for the second time in this round, and mringgenberg, you must play the 7 right now. Is it higher or lower?

If the last card is higher than a 7, you win the round. Is it?
(5 ♣)
buzz!
No, it's not, and we go to our fourth question of the round. koopakid17, we asked 100 kids this question:
"Are you more or less likely to ride a rollercoaster?"
Keep in mind that by kids, we mean children under the age of 17. How many of them said they were more likely to ride one?
|
|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Feb 9, 2017 14:43:34 GMT -5
That's hard. I think kids like to ride roller coasters but there are some who are too scared to ride them. I'm going to say it's a middling number: 53.

koopakid17 says 53... ding!...and mringgenberg, is the actual number higher or lower?

It's going to be a little lower.

Post by Bill Skinner on Feb 9, 2017 23:33:50 GMT -5
And mringgenberg says lower. ding! Now, the actual number of kids who are more likely to ride a rollercoaster is... ding-ding-ding!...51, so it is lower, and mringgenberg will try to take the round with his last card. What is the new base card, Amber? (6 ♠) It's a 6! Would you like to play it or change it?

It's interesting that you'll gamble higher on a 6. Of course it has to be higher in order for you to win. How about it? (9 ⋄)ding-ding-ding!(1978 CS Win Cue) You win the round, and take a 1-0 lead, but koopakid17 will get a chance to tie it up when we return after these messages. (1978 CS Theme)

Welcome back to Card Sharks, and mringgenberg currently leads koopakid17 1-0, but we're about to begin a new round of questions. koopakid17, as our challenger you will get the first question of the day, and we asked 100 people this question:
"Do you feel that the American economy will be better or worse in 2017 than it was in 2009?"
How many of those people said that the economy will be worse this year?

|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Feb 10, 2017 12:52:16 GMT -5
I think after what happened in 2008, people just want to say anything will be better than the years immediately following it. I think it's going to be a high number: 66.

mringgenberg thinks it's lower. ding! And the actual number of people who said that the American economy is worse off now than it was eight years ago is... ding-ding-ding!...63, so it is lower, and mringgenberg gets the right to play his cards first in the second round. What's his base card, Amber? (10 ♣) A 10! Would you like to play it now or change it?

This is it, for all the marbles and a chance to play the Money Cards for the second time. Is it lower than a Jack? Show us! (3 ♥)ding-ding-ding!(1978 CS Win Cue) It's a clean sweep, and you win the game, 2 matches to none. But koopakid17, it was really great having you on the show. Hopefully we'll see you again. (1978 CS Theme) When we come back, mringgenberg will try for even more cash at the Money Cards round, and by the way, he has $2,000 guaranteed cash from the two wins in the main game. First up, these messages.

Welcome back to Card Sharks, where mringgenberg will play the Money Cards for some more cash, and will also be back on our next show. Now you know how this goes, you will simply guess whether the next card is higher or lower, and you can change the first card on each row if you want. Beware of the dreaded bust; if it happens on the first line, you will automatically start over at the second line, but a second bust ends the game. Let's start you off with $500 in betting money, and the first card in the round. What is it, Amber? (K ♠) A King! Now you can bet any amount you wish, except in the Big Bet, where you must bet at least of half of what you have if and when you get there. With that in mind, would you like to play the King now or change it?
