While the pilot will be using the original bonus round format from what I've written in Coming Soon, I'll be testing another bonus round here.
The rule is, we'll give the champ EIGHT cards, with ONE of them always be the event from THE CURRENT YEAR (or 2017).
Then we play just like the first edition of bonus round. Starting with a blank Timeline, the player play cards one by one, but AVOID PLAYING THE 2017 (or current year) EVENT CARD The 2017 event MUST be played LAST, at anytime you play the 2017 event card before it's the last card in your hand, you lose everything.
However, the prize does change, from $1,000 for each correct move and a jackpot starting at $25,000 for winning, the champion instead wins the cash amount equal to the year on the rightmost event on the Timeline, and multiply up each time you make a correct move.
1st - YEAR X1
2nd - YEAR X2
3rd - YEAR X3
4th - YEAR X4
5th - YEAR X5
6th - YEAR X10
7th - YEAR X20
8th - YEAR X100
Because there's the risk of placing a 2017 event, the player may stop at anytime and claim HALF of their current winnings.
Game ends when a player stops or a 2017 event is played. If that card is played LAST, the player wins the full amount of their current winnings. (Perfect streak would make a potential jackpot to $201,700) But if NOT, the player loses everything.
