Hello all,
I have had several requests and inquiries, going back to the days of Big Jon's site, to present this game.
Recently I began "tinkering" with some visuals which I shared in the "Show Your Stuff" area.
After careful consideration, I will be doing a pilot episode of this game as an NBC daytime program.
After Retro High Rollers is completed, I will host the Concentration pilot. Gambit PM will be on hiatus at least until this pilot episode of Concentration is in the books.
James Greek had requested to be a player on Retro High Rollers. I informed him that he would be selected either for that show or, if I did this one instead, he would be one contestant on Concentration.
I do not know as yet if I will do the car end game that was done on Trebek's version, or a Double Play game done on the Narz version, or possibly a different end game entirely as yet.
I have created a few rebus puzzles recently that I am eager to present and try out.
My biggest concern and dilemma with hosting this game is the play-along factor for other viewers.
My other concern is the name of the game itself. Usually when played in real time, concentration is needed to succeed.
If I were, on the one hand, to remove images of the board that were not matched, it would require the contestants themselves to concentrate, however, it would be a bit more difficult to follow along for other people watching it, either while the thread is active, or once the thread is completed and placed in the archives section for people to "watch".
On the other hand, if I leave all images up, it would take away some of the need for players to concentrate, as they could view what was revealed previously.
In sharing this and fleshing this out, I am inclined to delete pictures after 24 hours of non-matching selections or once the other player selects his or her first number after no match was achieved, whichever comes first.
I would impose a rare 24 hour deadline for picks to be made rather than my customary 48 hour deadline.
More to come...
Thanks all for your loyalty, patience, enthusiasm and support...
Best,
Bill
