Beginning February 1st on Channel 1, get ready for the ultimate test of guts and glory...
4 contestants
21 floors
42 possibilities
but ultimately, only one player will be left standing in the lobby as the Champion!
Get ready for the...
Based on and using screenshots from BigJon's PC Game "Tower of Cash", this show will pit 4 contestants against each other in a tournament format where only one player survives and potentially wins millions of dollars!
THE MATCHES (PLAYER vs. PLAYER)
Each match plays out as follows:
1) The higher seed gets the choice of playing first or second
2) Each player visits either 3 or 6 floors, with the option to stop and record their total score after their 3rd visited floor or to continue and visit the final 3 floors
3) The game is played basically the same as "Tower of Cash" with these exceptions:
- Selecting "Random 1", "Random 2" or "Random 3" earns the player a DO-OVER card -- if they have this card, they can choose to use it, allowing them to abandon their current game and start it over. This card is only valid up until the 5th visited floor of the current game.
- Selecting "Random 4" earns the player an ULTIMATE DO-OVER card -- which can be kept and used at any time during any match in the tournament, allowing them to abandon their current game and start it over.
- Selecting "GAME OVER" at any point not only ends the current game, but eliminates the contestant's cumulative earnings to that point, along with any DO-OVER cards they might possess at the time. Depending on when it happens, "GAME OVER" might also eliminate the player from the tournament.
4) If, by chance, the match ends in a tie (equal money amounts or both players getting a "GAME OVER"), the match will be replayed.
5) Whichever player scores the most money in the match advances in the tournament and retains their winnings from this match for a potential payout.
6) Whichever player scores the least money in the match may or may not continue in the tournament and they lose their winnings from this match.
PROGRESSION OF MATCHES
1) The tournament begins with two Finalist Matches -- winners of these matches advance to either the Semi-Final or the Final, depending on their scores
2) The losers of those first two matches play in the Last Chance Match -- winner of this match plays in the Semi-Final, loser is eliminated from the tournament
3) Next comes the Semi-Final match -- Finalist Match Winner #2 versus the Last Chance Match winner -- winner of this advances to the Final, loser eliminated
4) At the end is the Final match -- Finalist Match Winner #1 versus the winner of the Semi-Final match -- winner of this match is the Champion
PAYOUTS
The person eliminated in the Last Chance match wins nothing.
The person eliminated in the Semi-Final wins 10% of their total cumulative winnings.
The person eliminated in the Final wins 25% of their total cumulative winnings.
The tournament champion wins 100% of their total cumulative winnings and returns on the next show to defend.
The person eliminated in the Semi-Final wins 10% of their total cumulative winnings.
The person eliminated in the Final wins 25% of their total cumulative winnings.
The tournament champion wins 100% of their total cumulative winnings and returns on the next show to defend.
DOUBLE OR HALF BONUS ROUND
Our champion plays one last match -- Double or Half -- where the amounts on the floors are replaced by the letters T, O, W, E, R and X scattered randomly among the 21 floors. The 42 possible selections will be made up of 7 Ts, 8 Os, 9 Es, 6 Rs, 5 Ws and 7 Xs (considered strikes).
Once again, the player chooses 6 floors, but this time, receives both selections on those floors. If he/she collects enough letters to spell the word TOWER at any point, he/she doubles their total show winnings -- however -- if after visiting all 6 floors TOWER cannot be spelled or 3 strikes (Xs) have been accumulated at any point, the player loses half of their total show winnings. In this match, the player can choose to stop at any time, in which case they neither win nor lose any more money.
