Starting with the next episode, there will be some changes made.
First, I will have both contestants submit twenty buzz codes to me prior to the start of the game.
The player who is closest to the actual buzz code will be the one to signal first.
The player will then have the option to answer or to challenge their opponent to answer.
A successful challenge means the player who was passed the question either gave an incorrect answer or exceeded the time limit to answer, thus, the contestant who passed the question to their opponent will win control of the next card, sight unseen, unless it is the very first card of the game.
An UNSUCCESSFUL challenge means the player who was passed the question came up with the correct answer. If that happens after the first card during a game, the player who answered correctly will now get to see the next card and decide if they want to keep it or give it away.
My hope is by implementing this, more strategy will come into play, the buzz code submissions will be streamlined, and players won't be quite as inclined to simply pass on a question.
After this current episode, I will once again require players to answer questions to continue to draw cards to beat a frozen score. I want to have a bit more play along factor for our friends viewing these episodes.
Lastly, every 4th question in rotation will now be what is called a raw question. It won't be true or false, it won't be yes or no, it won't be multiple choice, rather, it will be a question and the player must come up with the correct answer.
