I think that is true.

It was true. Two more right answers for the contract. The master of the pause famous for his catch phrase "Now Cut That Out" was Henny Youngman.

I think that it's false.

Somewhere right now Jack Benny is smiling. False is indeed correct. Henny's catch phrase is "Take my wife, please." Come to think of it, it's also mine! One more for the contract... Pat Paulsen was a regular who appeared on "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour".

When we last left you, Kourtney, with $250 was about to go to the big board, and try to achieve his second match. Three are needed to win the match and move on against two new challengers. Thus far this has proven a rather difficult game, not many matches achieved and also a triple stumper earlier on in this episode. And Kourtney, if you make a match here, we will then play our Pot of Gold game with all three of you and a chance at an instant $3,500 in cash. First things first however... With $250 to spend, you can purchase as many as 8 boxes. And since no match was made last time around, the hats are still on the board. Which box first Kourtney?

And also, if you make a match this time, as this would be your second match, it could be worth anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000 more for you, and double that if your first three picks match.

30 on the Blue please... (flip) (groans from the audience) Straw hat there. Still $170 left to go Kourtney. See if you can't pair up one of these hats. One pick remaining for you in the 30 column if you so choose.

$20 on the yellow for that third straw hat... (flip) (More gasps and groans in the audience). $90 left, but the $20 column is closed. We KNOW your next pick in the $30 column has to yield either a top hat or a sombrero. Then you'll have a 1 in 3 chance to match it in the $40 column Kourtney. How do you play it?

Let's go with 40 verde.

Post by billmcdee on Jan 9, 2017 16:58:24 GMT -5
We are an educational show. Verde is green. And if there's a sombrero under 40 on the green Kourtney, you're going to earn more green! (flip) OLAY!!!! (Cheers & applause in the audience) (Audio man cues up) Okay, let's calm down all! (Chuckling). I know that was our first match in a while now. Let's find out how much more money Kourtney just won! Hey another eighteen hundred bucks! (Cheering & applause) Second highest amount up there and you worked hard to earn ever last centavo of that money too might I add! 2 matches now for Kourtney, $2,400 total winnings. Kevin still with 1 match and $9,550 as a grand total. James, nothing thus far for you. Hopefully you can get to the board soon and achieve a match. You will have one advantage going into our next episode, which I will explain at the end of today's program. Right now however, since one player has reached 2 matches, it's time for our POT OF GOLD game... It wasn't won at $2,500, and on our last show we did a special Christmas edition of it, which also was not won. So now the Pot of Gold is up to $3,500. One, and only one of these three players may win it, or at least have a chance to do so in the next few moments. Twelve boxes, hidden behind one is the left half of the pot of gold, and hidden behind another is the right half. We'll start with Kevin, then James, then Kourtney for the first turn. If all three players miss, then the second time around will have James go first, then Kourtney and then Kevin. If all three players miss during that turn, then one more turn will be played, starting with Kourtney, then Kevin and finally James. If and when any one of you uncovers either half of the pot of gold, you will then have one more pick of the board to match it up with the other half. If it is not won, we'll toss another $500 into the pot, and the next time we play it, it will be worth $4,000. Kevin, kindly start us off please.
