I think I have an idea, but I want to try some things first.

Miss X, Bill asked if you were a panelist on a talk show and you said "no." Are you the SOLE hostess of a TV show?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Miss X: Oooooohhh.
(scattered laughter from the crowd)

(judge activates bell)

Miss X: Thanks! I was going to say "yes". (laughs with the crowd)

(judge explains ruling)

Doug: Yeah, makes sense. Judge earns his keep again. Jon, given the way you emphasized the wording in your question, you're getting a qualified "yes".

Is your five-a-week show a talk show?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Miss X: Oh yes!

[jmdarrall]

Does your show involve demonstrations of something?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Miss X: No.

[jmdarrall]

There goes what I thought it was (Laughter). I do have another idea...does your show primarily air at night?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Miss X: (shakes head) Definitely not.

[jmdarrall]

Running out of ideas... is your show currently on the radio, too?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Miss X: (shakes head) Oh no.

Doug: Down to two questions, Jon. Ask another or pass?

[jmdarrall]

I think I will pass.

[dougmorrisontheair]

Okay, as we pass to Greg, I think a recap's in order.

Remember, our next challenger shares her first and last name with a television host. The show the host is on is currently seen five days a week -- with the possible exceptions of certain holidays. On those occasions, a "best of" show would likely air in its time slot.

She is the sole hostess of the show; that, I think, is key. It is a talk show. It's not a nighttime show and it's not a radio show.

All right...... Madame X, did you have a co-host, originally?

(light bulb went off in my head, and I dare believe it did in Greg's too with that last question)

Nodding my head, as I am fairly certain now

Miss X: I -- still have a co-host.

(inaudible explanation from the judge)

Doug: Gotcha. Panel, tracking back to an earlier question about her being the "sole hostess" on the program. On a regular basis, she's the only female talent on the program. There's at least one male among the on-air personnel.

Aha! There's at least one male. If I'm correct, then that male co-host spot has been a rotating position you've been trying to fill for some time now.


Let's cut to the chase. Are you Kelly Ripa?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Miss X: Oh, I remember when she was on "Dance Party USA".

Doug: I do, too.

































Miss X: But I'm not Kelly Ripa.

(scattered groans)

Doug: Good try. Five questions left, Greg. You can try to uncover more information -- or pass.

[palmer7]

Well, so much for that. Let's see.... this is a talk show, on five days a week, no demonstrations, so "The Chew" would be out. Is this talk show syndicated?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Miss X: Oh no.

[palmer7]

All right, so it's a network show. Now, is this show produced by the news division of your network?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Miss X: (shakes head) No.

[palmer7]
