If it's lower, you'll win the home gym and a tie game. Is it lower...? [BUZZER, AUDIENCE GROANS]No... it's an Ace. And Glenn loses both cards. Matt... you have a free chance and must play on your base card-- --a 7. [AUDIENCE GROANS]Sorry... but you cannot change your 7 since you didn't win the question.

Lower than a 7... [BUZZER, AUDIENCE GROANS]No... it's a 10. Both players have failed to advance. Question #3 is coming right up and away we go... *grabs card* Glenn... we've asked 100 mailmen-- Be honest, do you know your own zip code? How many of them say they do know their zip code?

Well, I think if it was just a regular man (i.e. non-mailman), the number would be low because most of the guys I know can never remember things like that. A mailman though you would think would be exposed to it so often that more of them than not would remember.
I'm gonna say 2 out of 3 of them would, so let's go with 67.

Even I know my own zip code and the longer you live in one place, the more you'll know it. It's going to be a little lower.

And the actual number is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]51. Matt's right... it is lower. Matt... you have a 7 as your base card. Do you want to play this card or change it?

(Wow only 51 out of 100 postal workers knew their own zip code?!?!?! That explains a lot about the dire straights the USPS is in today!)

Freeze!

|
Post by tmann3x on Jan 15, 2017 20:02:57 GMT -5
And we'll move Matt's freeze bar as we are all tied up with both players needed two cards. Matt is going for the championship while Glenn is trying to tie up the score. *grabs card* Fourth and final question mean it's time to play-- Audience: SUDDEN DEATH! [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: That's right, folks... it is Sudden Death. Someone has to win it on this all important play of the cards. Matt... we've asked 100 men in their 20's-- Are older women really better? How many of them say that older women are really better?

I don't really think so. It's kind of a big difference in ages so it's going to be a low number. 37

[DING]37 out of 100 say that older women are really better. What do you think of that answer, Glenn... higher or lower?

I'd say it's higher.

Be more specific... why do you think the answer is higher?

I think it's higher because I think most men would say experienced women are better than inexperienced.

[DING]This will determine control of the cards. Matt says 37 and Glenn says it's higher... The actual number of that older women are really better is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]42. Glenn gets control of the cards! Glenn... you have a 2 and need two cards for a tie game. Matt has a 7 and he needs two cards in order to become our new champion. If you pass it to Matt, he must turn both cards right. If he makes one mistake, we'll have a tie game and go into a one-question Sudden Death match. So what's your decision... play or pass?

[AUDIENCE GROANS, BOOS]The audience doesn't like your call, Glenn. You could have passed it to Matt. It's up to you right now. If another 2 shows up, your journey ends and Matt will be our new champion. Higher than a 2...? [BUZZER]It's another 2. So that means Matt is our new champion! [WINNING BELL SOUNDS, WIN CUE 2, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]
Matt, come on over and stand on the star marker. Sorry, Glenn that the risk didn't pay off for you. If you have could have passed it to Matt, you could have won an extra $500 and a prize. Right now, you'll be sailing away to the land of parting gifts including a $250 gift certificate from Spiegel. Give it up for Glenn Gullen, ladies and gents... [APPLAUSE]And when we come back after these important messages, our new champion Matt Ringgenberg will try his luck at winning over the $100,000 payoff including a shot at winning a new car. Stay with us... the Money Cards is next. [CHEERS, APPLAUSE CONTINUES]*fade to commercial* ===============================================================================

*back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Card Sharks, everybody. I'm here with our champion Matt. At this moment, he has an all cash total of $3,500. And in just a few seconds, he'll try to win more playing the Money Cards. Are you ready to win it all?

OK... let's open up the doors and play the Money Cards! [MAIN OPENING THEME, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]You could win as much as $168,000 on the turn of the cards... but only if you play your cards right. In order to do that, here's how it works. You'll begin the game with $1,000 on the bottom line. Three cards for you to bet as you will. And when you move up to the second level, we'll add $2,500 of betting money and three more cards. Minimum bets are $100... ...until you reach the top card, the Big Bet. You must bet at least half the money. If at any event you get a push, you don't lose any of your wager as your bet carries over. And for winning the match, our guest model Rachel Reynolds has a Joker card for you to play the Car Round. And if another Joker card appears during your bet, you'll earn another chance of winning a brand new car. Good luck to you, Matt. Here's $1,000. [DING]And if you're stuck with a middle card, you may use one of the 3 spare cards for you to change one card per line. You'll begin your very first Money Cards with 1000 bucks and... ...a 6. Do you want to play this card or change it with one of the spare cards, Matt?
