YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And my 50th is next week!!!!!!!
(Jumping up and down pumping my fists, being sure not to attack the cordial host).
I had all of the remaining words except the last. At first I thought that last word was going to be BONE, until WISH became WISHES.
Thank you so much Doug!

You're very welcome. It all worked out. This is certainly a nice early birthday present. In this episode alone, you've better than doubled your total cash winnings to $90,280. (audience cheers) You keep winning -- and you'll earn an instant $40,000 bonus for five straight match wins. (audience cheers) Back with an audience game -- after this. (theme plays; audience cheers)

I am a former Chain reaction champion first off! I'm from Elba, AL and I love game shows and 70s-80s music

Ah, great era for music. Wish we could talk more about it but we have to get right to your speed chain. (ding)Now this is a sample chain -- a four-link chain with just one word in each link. The whole chain yields three different phrases at two words each. Staying with this example, prayer chain, Chain Reaction and reaction time. James, with your speed chain, you'll see just the top and bottom links -- and the initial letters of the second and third links in the speed chain. After seven seconds to think it over, if you correctly identify the words in the middle, you win $5000. (scattered cheers) Identify just one and you get $500. James, good luck -- and here's your speed chain. (timer with seven seconds is activated; buzz) All right, James. For $5000, what are those C words?

By jove, I think he's got it. (dings; audience applause; win music plays) And he does. Congratulations, James. Merry Christmas, Christmas carol and Carol Burnett. Enjoy your $5000, James. Friends, 'til next time, make it a great day, keep the faith and treasure you loved ones. (theme plays; audience applause)
Adam Nedeff recently shared a great story about one of us -- albeit from a time when we didn't have a chance to network with fellow game show fans online. As Adam recalled, Fred Wostbrock would often skip classes to attend game show tapings. He also would acquire a stack of game show photos purchased from memorabilia shops. Then, one day, Bob Clayton, the announcer of "The $20,000 Pyramid" took questions from the audience. Next thing the audience knew, young Fred would pleasantly surprise the cast and crew as he brought his collection of photos of Bob, Dick Clark and Bill Cullen, who hosted the nighttime "Pyramid" and was a frequent guest of the daytime show. Young Fred would later get to have lunch with Bill. Years later, Fred matured and became the executor of Bill's estate. He would also become an agent to many game show hosts and announcers. As we trust you've heard by now, Fred passed away recently after battling lung cancer. Rest in peace, Fred.
