"It's Anyone's Guess"
Hosted by Steve Anderson
Production Company:Reg Grundy Productions/Steven Anderson Enterprises
Network:TBD
This game is loosely based on a box set game called "Anybody's Guess" from the late 1980's. I'm adding a couple of elements to make it more of a game show format.
The game uses 2 players. One will typically be a returning champion. The game is played in 3 rounds.
Round 1: "It's my guess" A jump in question will be asked to both players. The first player to respond with a correct answer will win $100 and a chance at the master puzzle. The solution will usually be a person, place, or thing. The Category clue will be revealed before the first question of the round is asked. After a correct response, One of four clues will be revealed as to what we are looking for. The clues should make it easier as we go along. For instance, If the category clue were "Occupation" and the clues were
"Gets high every day"
"Discourages Skidding"
"Meets with Moguls"
" Life is all Downhill"
They should lead you to a correct response of "Ski Instructor"
The first person to correctly solve the master puzzle wins $500. If the correct solution is made on the first clue, then that player wins $1,000
We will play 3 puzzles like that in the first round. The 3rd puzzle is word $200 a question, $1,000/$2,000 for a correct puzzle solution
Round 2: "It's your guess" In this round, the player trailing after round 1 gets to lead off in guessing the master puzzle. The subject, clues, and solution will be revealed to their opponent, who gets to decide on which clue the solution will be solved on. They can also choose to submit a wager of "Bet You Can't", meaning they feel that the guessing player cannot figure out the solution after all four guesses.
In this round, if the guesser figures out the puzzle on the first clue, it is worth $1,000
on the second clue, it is worth $700
on the third clue, it is worth $500
on the last clue, it is worth $300
After the guessing player finishes, the wager of the opponent is revealed. If they correctly chose when the guesser would solve the puzzle, they also receive that amount of money. If they chose "Bet You Can't" and were successful, they receive $600 on to their score. A total of 4 puzzles is played in this round, with each player given alternate chances to both guess and wager twice.
Round 3: " It's anyone's Guess" This is the final round of the day, which will determine our champion. The host will begin to read the clues one at a time. The first to buzz in has a chance to solve the puzzle. If correct, they receive the amount on which the clue was revealed, either $1000 for 1 clue, $700 for 2nd. $500 for 3rd, $300 for 4th and last clue. They must be careful, as a incorrect guess automatically sends that amount of money to their opponent. There is no money lost for an incorrect response.
We continue in this fashion until one player reaches $7,500. The player reaching that sum first is the champion. If after 5 puzzles in this round, noone has reached $7,500..then each puzzle after is played for double stakes, triple stakes after 10 puzzles, if necessary. The champion keeps the cash, the runner up receives parting gifts and $500.
Bonus Game: Crossfire Round
The day's champion gets to choose from a board of 6 different prizes worth over $10,000 to shoot for in this round. 1 Prize is always a luxury automobile worth over $30,000, and 1 prize is always $50,000 in cash. This round works just like the "Winner's Big Money Game" from "$ale of the Century" The day's champion is shown 6-word puzzles, revealed 1 at a time. Instead of 20 seconds, The player has 15 revealed clues to solve 4 puzzles. A player may pass if they choose on a clue and go to another puzzle. They can also miss once on a puzzle, two misses and the round is over. If the player doesn't solve 4 puzzles in the alloted time, each correctly solved puzzle is worth $2,500. Win or lose they get to play again as champion. Winning 5 shows allows a player to play their 5th bonus round for all the remaining prizes on the bonus board and a $100,000 bonus, meaning that a player could potentially win over $250,000 on the show
