(ding)$1500. (scattered cheers)
[ GREG ] [ BRYAN ] [ JON ] < < 4375 > > < < 2575 > > < < 3800 > > [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
John, if you took the money, you'd be up to $5300 and the lead -- with the others yet to take their final turns. If you take the second chance, you'd risk the $3800 you presently have. How do you play it? (audience shouts suggestions)
(Jon, if you wish to take the second chance, please clearly indicate same and then "STOP" with a letter from A-R inclusive.)

(scattered cheers) Taking the money and the lead.
[ GREG ] [ BRYAN ] [ JON ] < < 4375 > > < < 2575 > > < < 5300 > > [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
Lead is about $1000 over Greg. But it's Greg's last turn to bat this round. (board spins)Here goes the board for ya, Greg.
(Greg, please "STOP" with a letter from A-O inclusive.)

(ding)$950
[ GREG ] [ BRYAN ] [ JON ] < < 4375 > > < < 2575 > > < < 5300 > > [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
It's not big bucks. (scattered woahs) Sounds like a few folks have done the math. Greg, if you stopped here, you'd have the lead by a mere $25. It would be a slim lead -- but a lead nonetheless -- unless Bryan hits it big. How do you play it? (audience shouts suggestions)
(Greg, if you want to take the second chance and risk the $4375 you currently have, please indicate same and "STOP" with a letter from A-R inclusive.)

[ GREG ] [ BRYAN ] [ JON ] < < 5325 > > < < 2575 > > < < 5300 > > [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
And now we turn to the champ. Bryan, you're currently $2750 shy of the lead. Only a few things will give you the lead -- "big bucks", obviously; a chance space that would advance you to "big bucks"; or a chance space that would add a 1. Anything else and Greg takes the lead and the advantage. Let's roll that board, please, fellers. (board spins) Bryan, let's see if you can get that lead.
(Bryan, please "STOP" with a letter from A-O inclusive.)

Taking the money and ending the round. (theme plays)Bryan's in last place with 4575. Jon's in second with 5300. But it's Greg with the slim lead at 5325. It's enough to give him an advantage -- which he'll need with these close scores. We'll take a break, meet our players -- and start Round 2. A little Q&A when Second Chance returns. (audience cheers)

Hi, Doug. My name's Greg Palmer, I am from Durham, NC, where I watch this show on WTVD ABC 11. I recently graduated from Durham Tech with a degree and certificate in Web Technologies, but I'm looking for jobs in radio and television. I want your job. Some of my interests include anime, video games, and radio countdown shows. I have a copy of the first episode of "Casey's Top 40" on CD.

Ah, yes, I know Casey Kasem's work well. Some of his radio shows were lead-ins to mine. May God rest his suk.
Good luck to you today.
Bryan, I almost hate to ask this -- but I'd be in remiss if I didn't. As we tape this episode, LSU's football team is in the midst of a transition -- parting company recently with its longtime head football coach Les Miles. You follow the SEC. What's your take on this move?

The way they started off against Wisconsin, it was bound to happen. So far Ed Oregeron is doing an excellent job getting the offense where it should be. It was pretty much clear where the real problem was, but it's always the head man taking the fall.

And Jon, a word or two about you, please.

Mixed martial arts, eh? Rough sport -- but definitely popular. Good luck to you. Again, good luck to all as we play our second round of Second Chance. It's our quiz round. Before we start the quiz, let's give you your head start spins. (ding)Greg, since you won the most money in the first round, you get a three-spin head start. Jon, you finished a close second in Round 1; we'll give you a two-spin head start. Bryan, just one spin -- but you know the difference you can make in this game on one spin. In this round, we have three sets of answers -- and two questions per set. The first question in a set is open to all and worth three more spins. Those who didn't score on the first question play the second chance question for one more spin. If you're all set, let's take a look at your set of answers. Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer. Tense up, folks -- because here's your first question for three spins. Which of our TV friends was in a short-lived sitcom originally titled "Second Chance"? 77 palmer7 99 bryan 36 jmdarrall 11 random.org (Jon buzzes in)Jon?

Greg responds with the other Matt. Is he right for three spins? (ding) (audience applause)There ya go. (spins awarded sfx)Interesting thing about that other "Second Chance". The sitcom came and went quietly in the late 1980s. A scene from the pilot predicted the death of the notorious Libyan dictator Colonel Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. The show was off by just a few months. Greg, you now have six spins. Bryan and Jon, you'll play the second chance question... (ding)...with the answers left over from the previous question. Chime in with the right answer and you'll pick up one spin. And here's your question. Which of the remaining friends was in a short-lived sitcom entitled "Joey"? 75 bryan (diff: 16) 46 jmdarrall (diff: 13) 59 random.org (Jon buzzes in)Jon?

(spins awarded sfx)Ya gotta believe she had to point and laugh when word came Brangelina hit the skids. (scattered laughter from the crowd) All right -- both challengers take a second chance with... (ding)... Courteney Cox or Lisa Kudrow. For one spin, here's the question. (ding) (audience applause)He is -- good job, Jon (spins awarded sfx)Going into our last set of answers, Greg still has six spins. The others -- four each. Last set of answers. (ding)Huh, our "Friends" theme came to an end. Well -- at least "Ugly Naked Guy" isn't a choice. (scattered laughter from the crowd) We're all rejoicing, aren't we?
